Hazy Situation

"I am astonished that you haven't gone back to Watatsumi Island yet, Kokomi. Is the divine priestess of Sangonomiya slacking? Enjoying yourself here, aye?" Lu acted to look shocked.

"Hehehe~! I am having a wonderful time here, your majesty. And it's all thanks to the hardworking you. Do accept my utmost gratitude." Kokomi casually played along.

"Anything for my angel! I am at your service all-... Most of the time..." The deity almost fell into his own trap.

"𝘔𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧... But I am reassured that you have my back covered nonetheless." She smiled bashfully.

(Perfect? My little fish really likes exaggerating stuff sometimes.) He kept it to himself.

They delved into awkward silence as the weird conversation ended. It seems like 𝘰𝘶𝘳 lady strategist is ready to make the first move.

"I heard that the twins were frantic, you know? If not for lady Orihime-

"Uhh... Kuki already told me that..." Lu smiled wryly.

"Is that so?... Then, those two unruly archons were punished-

"That too..." Kokomi's smile broke for the first time today. She then stood up and stared at the entrance.

"𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦... 𝘛𝘤𝘩! 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘰... 𝘴𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘳𝘶𝘮𝘰𝘳... 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘪𝘱𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘮𝘪𝘳𝘬 𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘦!" ... At least the person behind her didn't see it.

"I'm curious about the visits, Kokomi. I only heard about the two blonde travelers and Shuten's visit from her." Lu took the hint and restarted their chat.

"I'll be happy to tell you all about it, Lu! You see..." Kokomi then started bombarding the deity with the information.

"I see... Besides the normal visits from the others. The Kamisato Siblings had an argument due to Ayato forbidding princess to visit me? Were they busy with something?" Lu asked with a thoughtful expression.

"I don't think so... It is difficult for Guuji Yae, and even me, to figure out what is going on inside the Yashiro Commisioner's head. I'm ecstatic as it worked in my favor though!" Kokomi smiled innocently.

"What-

"It's nothing!" She interrupted.

"Really?" He repeated himself in suspicion.

"I think you're hearing things due to the poison, Lu. That's really bad! I need to check your condition!" The divine priestess hurriedly sat down beside him on the bed, and forced herself unto him.

"I can undress myself, Kokomi. My condition isn't that bad." The deity teased.

"Ahh! Sorry, Lu!!!" Kokomi immediately looked away in fluster. The sound of rattling clothes only lasted for a second, and she turned around once more.

"Just the top should be enough, right? Doctor Kokomi?" He smirked at the dazed lady.

"Umm... Yes! This should be enough for the examination." She nodded, without averting her eyes away from his warrior's body.

"Teyvat to Kokomi? My eyes are here, lady." Lu knocked some sense on the distracted strategist.

"I may need to touch it for a more accurate result, Lu." The divine priestess smiled with an innocent look.

"Sure. Do as you wish." He noticed that he had no choice either way.

Kokomi didn't waste any time as she touched him all over the place. But not without using her specialty, the wet- hydro element, to find any abnormalities.

"How is my health, Doctor~?" Lu teased with a grin.

"...You're all good overall. No abnormalities, and it seems like the poisonous substance is gone already." She whispered while checking on his neck from the back.

"Kokomi?" He inquired as the divine priestess hugged him from behind and ruffled his hair.

"You should take better care of yourself, Lu. It's not just Inazuma that needs you..." Kokomi murmured with an unknown expression.

"I understand. But still... You're quite bold, Kokomi~. What if someone comes inside at this instance?" Lu tried to fluster her, but the response he got was unexpected.

The strategist placed herself comfortably on his lap, and her fish eyes were staring intensely into his eyes.

"No one will come, Lu. 𝘐 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘵." Her lateness was reasonable.

"Did you already drink the medicine I prepared for you, Lu?" She suddenly questioned.

"I did... It was the first thing I found and did when I woke up earlier. And now that I focus on it, I feel much better now. I should be able to continue my work." Lu stood up to leave, only for their positions to be reversed as Kokomi dragged his head into her lap.

"That hurts, Kokomi... How did you even get this strong, anyway?" He inquired about her unusual boost of strength.

"I can't comprehend it. I also felt warmer than usual. Maybe my bloodline activated... Even if it did, it's probably because of you, Lu. So I do not mind the change~." She cheerfully answered.

"Good for you???" The deity was confused.

"Shh! Stop talking, Lu. As your personal doctor, I recommend that you sleep. I'll be here to look after you all day~." Lu couldn't tell her exact expression as his vision became hazy once more.

And then it went black...

"Mmnnn~." Raiden Lu was awoken by a strange noise. The lady before him noticed his eyes open and smiled.

"Hey, Lu. Do you like what lies beneath the surface of the water?" He heard a question while trying to fix his hazy vision.

"Underwater is also part of nature so naturally I like it." The deity's vision cleared, and he saw a giggling Kokomi. With a trace of insanity in her dead fish eyes.

"Then... Shall we drown together, Lu~?" The psychotic lady suggested in a cheerful way.

"...This isn't the angel I know. I must still be dreaming..." Lu held his head due to a strong headache.

"That's right, Lu. Continue your slumber." Kokomi cupped his face with a deranged smile. And the dreamworld awaits him once again.

"𝘞𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘰𝘯, 𝘓𝘶. 𝘐 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵... 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘧 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧..." All he heard was gibberish as the darkness took him.

The angel laughed.

Lu opened his eyes for the third time, only to see nothing but normality. He felt sick no more, and there was no one in the room besides himself.

He then discovered that he was already fully clothed, and felt grateful to Kokomi if she was the one who did that.

There might be some trouble if somebody found him sleeping half naked after all. The twins will definitely not let him go without a proper explanation.

"Huh?" The deity was getting ready to continue his responsibilities when he noticed something weird.

His hair was unusually wet...
