Chapter 5 Pentagram School.

After closing the door, Sophia swiped her hand across the front of the door carelessly. 

The front door to the house that was red in colour, shone with holographic signs, indicating that Sophia's action just now locked the door completely. 

Looking away from the door, Sophia noticed Kaile wearing a coat over his jacket.

''Wearing your coat again. I don't understand you, look outside, it's hot enough to boil raw egg on the ground.'' Sophia's voice rang in the ears of Emma and Kaile.

Kaile turned around and was about to reply but.

''Come on, we don't have time for this. Let him do whatever he wants to do, it's not like everywhere he goes in school won't have air conditioning.'' Emma said in a rushed tone, as she swiped her light caramel finger across the pitch black window of her hovering car. 

Sophia sighed at the missed opportunity as she headed for the hovering car in front of her.

The car looked just like any other modern car from earth, the only difference being it was hovering in the space just above the ground instead of being on the ground, the car was dark blue in colour and had no wheels or sign of wheels ever being on the car, the sides were completely flat, but it still looked futuristic and not like a flying box. 

Kaile and Sophia copied Emma's action of swiping her finger across the black window screen.

As AI controls all flight based vehicles on the human continent, the police don't need to see inside the vehicle as it's impossible for the AI to let civilians control the car at all, so 30 years ago the ban on black tinted windows was completely lifted. 

After Kaile and Sophia got into the back of the 5 door car, Emma pressed a button on the middle dash just where a gearbox should be in a modern vehicle.

A futuristic sound emitted from the bottom of the dark blue car as it slowly lifted off into the air. 

''Welcome aboard Mrs Nuit! What would your destination be?'' A male humanlike voice sounded in the car, you can tell it's still robotic, something that was done intentionally. 

''The Pentagram school. Teachers parking lot.'' Emma's calm but monotonous voice sounded out, it's clear she had said this many, many times before. 

Emma was looking down at the square glass object in her hand as she said that. There was no plastic whatsoever on the square glass object, the object is as thick as a child's middle finger. Images were flashing by on the small glass object, it appears to be a phone like device.

In the back of the car the chairs were light milky brown in colour, Sophia was also on her phone, it looked just like Emma's phone, Kaile was sitting beside her shoulder to shoulder as he was curious as to what she was watching. 

It appeared to be two polar bears fighting in the snow. One big and one small. The polar bears looked normal, just like any polar bear you could find on earth. The video was taken 1 day ago, before Kaile met the mysterious women that called him husband out of nowhere, something that currently he has absolutely no recollection of. 

''Alright heading right there Mrs Nuit. The traffic is light in the teachers lane, therefore the estimated wait time is 5 minutes.'' The calm male humanlike AI voice sounded again. 

In this world in order to keep order when it comes to traffic, every occupation was given special rights to travel along a lane in the air. You cannot travel along another lane unless the AI in your car is given special permission. 

The lanes in the air are structured by floating black discs that flash in a certain colour, that represents the occupation, the floating discs are 20 metres apart. The colour that represents the teachers lane is light blue, no matter what kind of teacher you are as long as it's a civilian teacher they are given permission to travel in the lane. 

Even if the teacher is not going to work, the lane is still free to use.

Online you can see many people taking pictures of the lane they are currently in. In this world since the lanes were introduced along with flying cars, 30 years ago it's become a symbol of standing in society, therefore you can see many youths uploading selfies and videos onto popular websites. 

The car took off from the Nuit household and entered the light blue lane representing teachers.

''Tsk. What a lucky bastard, that lane is always the least congested and quickest to travel around the city.'' A restaurant chef said in a grumpy and dissatisfied tone, as the person sat in the red lane that's completely congested, watching as Emma's car flew right over their head and proceeded to move further away into the city, in the same direction the chef would take to get to work.

The polar bear that was smaller than the big polar bear won the fight. 

Kaile looked away from the phone and outside the window. The city is huge. Kaile is only 2 minutes away from school now. Outside the window massive skyscrapers fill the air, making earth's 21st century skyscrapers look like toothpicks in comparison, yet they are quite spacious allowing for enough sunlight to reach the streets below, it doesn't look congested at all. 

The building's are mainly made out of glass, as no matter what other material used when going out into sea, glass was all that remained on the shores of the human continent, of lost ships that were destroyed by terrifying sea beasts. 

This led to people focusing on glass rather than other materials, as a means of support, but most importantly a means of hope.

Hope that one day humanity will be able to conquer the sea, just like they conquered the land. After calling it the human continent. 

1 more minute passed, the skyscrapers by this point had all but disappeared without a trace, it's not that Kaile has gotten further away from the city, in fact Kaile has gone towards the centre of the city.

In the centre of the city, only one massive compound that stretches out for many miles, can be seen, grasslands are permeated around the front of the massive compound stretching the same length. 

As everyone travels in flying cars, no matter how broke as a person you are, places like this can exist where instead of hard concrete, the area is filled with endless grass that looks neat and tidy.

Behind the compound is a forest, the forest is empty of any kind of predators, the only kind of animal's inside it are herbivorous. 

The compound's main colour is white, unlike the city, the compound's buildings aren't full of glass, this symbolises prosperity and safety. As concrete and such are seen as weaker than glass in this world.

In the centre of the compound is a big building, this building has more than 30 floors, around this compound the rest of the building's are spread out neatly, they don't have floors that exceed 5 in total. The compound seen by Kaile is in fact the school he goes to, each building's area holds a different class.

The whole area at the back of the school is reserved for archery and hunting classes.

You can look at it from above like a grid, the centre building with 30 floors are for faculty, like the head teacher's office that's on the top floor, spread out are different square sections, big and small, the smallest sections has no less than 5 buildings, in which a specific kind of lesson is taught, each building is reserved for a single classroom, for example, 1 building is for class 1-A which is the most outstanding class. This building will be in the centre of the square section, towards the end of the section the level of intellectually smart students drops.

Emma's car lands in the section designated for teachers parking. All parking sections are placed in front of the school, right before the grasslands begin. If one was to walk across the grasslands they would only reach the beginning of the skyscrapers again.

On foot this journey would take more than 3 hours.

After Emma's car landed, everyone got out of the car, because Kaile didn't have anything in particular he wanted to study, and Sophia preferred to learn under her mom rather than some other random teacher, both of them are learning under Emma that teaches history.

Unfortunately for the two siblings, they are now in the second year of school, with only one year left. During the first year the student can choose only one lesson in which they can specialise in for that year, after that year they are forced to learn 2 more subjects. 

The subjects Sophia and Kaile chose were the same, as they didn't feel like learning anything in particular, so again they chose to learn together, its best not to mention their friends and why they didn't choose based on that if they had not opinions in mind, because no matter how friendly they are at the end of the day, it can't beat the bond shared between Sophia and Kaile.

They would choose to be in each other's company, over anyone else despite how annoying Kaile may find Sophia at times. 

Naturally there's a simple reason for this, there isn't some underlying meaning behind it like, they have special feelings for each other or anything like that. 

For Kaile it's because of his inexplicable feeling of sadness, that can only be stomped on by family bonds. 

As for Sophia, well. That's an even more simple matter, she just enjoys the priceless reaction Kaile shows to her as she teases him, as everyone in school that knows them by now, it's her favourite pastime. 

Due to the size of the school, naturally people cannot just walk around from place to place, otherwise they would be late. 

So each person is registered with a personal floater, this floater is connected to their brainwaves, something the school faculty gathered from students the day they entered the school as students. 

So in front of Emma Sophia and Kaile, three pristine rectangular white glass floaters with black edges were hovering just above the light grey ground. 

Getting on the floaters will automatically take the person to the place they need to be, at that time in school so no things like students flying around will be seen here.
