Chapter 49: Contract
Caleb said, "Please follow me."
He took them to a room where they sat down, and he asked someone to bring snacks. His supervisor had already given the green light to give them the VIP treatment, so it was fine.
Caleb returned with two boxes. He carefully placed them on the table and opened them, revealing six eggs inside each box. The eggs were spherical and slightly larger than an adult fist.
Caleb said, "Genoberry Silkas only lay one egg at a time. A total of twelve Silkas have laid eggs since last night. You can choose any one of them."
Lucas activated Lens of Discernment and started scanning the eggs. His goal was simple: find the egg with the least number of affinities. That was his only requirement. Fortunately, he found one to his liking.
It already had a Metal affinity, which would make things much easier. It only had seven affinities, which seemed like a lot, but in comparison to others, which had at least 15, it was great.
