My thoughts raced as I looked at the woman in front of me. She had called me 'brother', she had also referred to my mother as if she was hers as well.
Concluding that she was my sister was a fair presumption, but at the same time it was highly unbelievable. My mother had never told me about having any other siblings.
Then again she had kept the fact that she was a literal progenitor of entire worlds and divine beings. It wasn't so hard to also assume that she had other children before me.
"So you're my sister?"
"Has mother not told you anything?" Nyx said with a small smirk.
I frowned at the woman, my fingers twitched with every fiber of my being screaming at me to vaporize the woman for such blatant disrespect. I pushed those thoughts aside and replied to the woman.
"Clearly she hasn't, but if you're so concerned why don't you enlighten me sister. "
"You're aware that our mother is THE Creator yes?' I nodded. "Well, once she created the worlds, she then created us, The Primordials. We each govern a separate aspect of reality. Night, Day, the Sky, Time, Oceans, Air, Love… and everything in between. At the moment I am one of the few Primordial 'goddesses' that is existent and fully awake. Many others have gone to sleep or faded and have passed on their domains to those of us who haven't."
"Okay but what does this have to do with anything, why are you telling me all of this."
"Because dear brother, you may one day join our ranks. As such I only wish to make you aware of our existence. Many of the Olympians have forgotten that we still exist."
"And?"
"And, they have sent you to help deal with another in our family."
"Gaia, the 'Earth Mother', I know."
"She's also your sister by the way."
I let out a sigh, "Okay, and I take it you don't want me to kill her."
"If you do, you would take her domains and be forced to slumber so that you don't destroy the world."
I winced, I hadn't thought about that. "Right, so what do I do then? I'm trying to finish up here so that I can get the fuck off this universe as soon as I can. This place is turning out much more complicated than I had expected."
"Simply put? You either let the demigods do their part without interference or you join us and forcibly put our sister back to proper sleep before she truly becomes a problem."
"So she's not awake yet? Everyone has been telling me that she's been 'stirring' or something of that sort."
"No, she isn't awake yet, obviously. If she was then this world wouldn't exist. Earth itself is her physical manifestation."
"That's a mildly disturbing thought."
"What would happen if Blake joins you Lady Nyx?" Selene spoke for the first time.
"He would be part of the Primordial Council and would be granted domains. Then we as a group will use our power to prevent further problems from Gaia."
"So more responsibilities that I don't particularly want?" I muttered.
Nyx giggled, rather strange to see considering what she was. Selene looked pensive, I went through the options in my head. While I wanted to go back to world jumping, more power didn't hurt.
It would also give me ample opportunity to rip Apophis to shreds. I didn't know how powerful the guy was but if he could do what he did while being the last in his pantheon, the bastard was powerful.
"Once Gaia has been returned to her deep slumber you will be free to do what you wish. As a being in control of an aspect of reality, you will not have to maintain any presence to keep control of the aspect. You just need to be alive." Nyx continued.
"Right, can I have some time to think about it then?"
"Certainly brother," Nyx smiled. "I shall return you to the surface, you'll be able to travel to my domain should you wish to speak with me."
With that she moved faster than even I could see and tapped me on the forehead. Information flashed through my mind making my head throb almost painfully. I heard the distinct notification ping from my system and quickly pulled up the UI.
Update Complete
I looked up at Nyx in shock, the Primordial winked at me before disappearing in a swirl of darkness. Selene looked at the spot my 'sister' had been standing in and huffed.
"I thought she was returning us to the surface?"
I looked over to her, "She just gave me a way to get back."
"What?"
"My system. It was updating. The timer was set for several days but she somehow bypassed all of that and finished it on the spot. I think she may have fiddled with it too since I feel like I can teleport back to the surface myself when I couldn't before."
"She's fiddled with your system eh?" Selene smirked at me.
"Love, please don't insinuate such things. It's bad enough that I'm in a relationship with two women. I don't need people to think I'm some sort of sexual deviant."
"Mhmm, she's powerful."
"Okay?" I didn't know where Selene was going with this conversation.
"She rather gorgeous."
"Selene I'm not a Lannister."
"What the fuck is a Lannister?"
"Right, you haven't heard of that yet. I'll show you when we get back to the surface."
"Alright, but are you considering her offer?"
"It wasn't much of an offer, more like- fuck. Maybe it was an offer."
"Come on, let's get back to the surface before you decide to antagonize more people that can destroy the planet with a flick of their finger."
I grumbled and took her hand. Closing my eyes I focused on Lena and where she was through my sire bond with the former hybrid.
[Scene Break]
We appeared in the forest around the camp moments later in a flash of light. I looked around checking for any sign of Lena and when I found none I shrugged. For her to be in the forest suggested that she may have been taking her new hunters out to get to know them. I didn't ask how she got out of my pocket dimension and attributed it to her new godly powers and the ability to teleport anywhere. I did make a mental note to ask her later.
"I'll go tell Chiron that we've arrived back." Selene said before slipping away.
While she wandered off back to camp I pulled up my system and looked through the changes in the recent update to it. I hummed when the 'change log' popped up. Updates didn't usually have a change log displayed. From my knowledge the changes were usually too subtle to need a log.

While not all too concerning the updates were rather intensive and changed a lot of what I was used to before. The most concerning was the prompt to choose when your partner got pregnant was removed. Sure it made things more 'immersive' but it also brought up a new problem. I couldn't just go around creampie-ing Selene anymore without risking conception.
The fact that I couldn't pick worlds to jump to was also mildly worrying as I didn't want to end up in a world that was even more annoying than the one I was currently in.
'I came here to fulfill my end of the deal with Hera and now I've been saddled with titles I never wanted and responsibilities that will tie me down. At least I'll be able to leave, but that still doesn't change the fact that I'll feel like shit if I just abandoned a bunch of kids to fend for themselves.'
I immediately pulled up the Gamer Store on a separate screen and looked at the new tabs that had been added. The World coordinates that were available for purchase were extensive. To the point where I had to take back my earlier worry about being out in a world where I wouldn't have fun curb stomping idiots. It had options for canon compliant worlds and alternate universe worlds. Some worlds even had specific time frames you could start off from.
The gacha system being removed wasn't too big a deal for me. I never really used it other than the first few times I did and it added the benefit of being about to actually pick what I wanted. The store had been updated to carry just about everything the gacha system would have awarded. Including mythic level items. The prices did reflect the items so I was thankful that I had saved up so many gacha coins. The coins I had were converted bringing the total amount of money I had stashed in my inventory to just a bit over sixty four trillion dollars. Which to me was just an obscene amount of money that I could never spend even if I spent millions a year. I had been concerned at first about the value of my money dropping due to it being a standard currency but fortunately my system also now lets me convert all my money into gold. I did exactly that and chuckled at the thought of having a literal mountain of gold bars.
The companion system was something I felt like I had already seen but now noting that I could only have ten at maximum made me realize that I couldn't just go around among everything my familiar. Having half the slots already filled up cemented my choice in being much more picky with familiars in the future. The crafting system was almost pointless to me since I didn't really fancy myself a 'builder'. At most I'd probably use the crafting system to make expendable weapons and other things that I wouldn't mind throwing at an enemy.
The one that caught my attention however, was the fact that a level cap had been implemented. I frowned at the implications and opened my stats menu.
