Game of Thrones-The Black Lord

(Sequel To “For The Queen, Not The Prince”) It all started in Summerhall. Aegon The Unlikely’s attempt at resurrecting the Dragons was successful but at the cost of his life. The fire was able to be put out, not before it took Aegon V's life as well as his son, Ser Duncan The Tall, and a few rooms. Ever since then, the events that decide the fate of Westeros had vastly changed. Dragons had returned; it was said that during the night of the fire, a bright crimson comet was seen in the night sky. During the end of King Aerys’s reign, a Rebellion started. But it wasn’t started by Robert Baratheon due to Rhaegar’s actions. Robert instead fought for the Targaryens and was married to a Princess which resulted with them having a son, Rhaegon. Rhaegon Baratheon is the rider of Morghul, a massive Black Dragon that Hatched at the end of the Rebellion started by the River Dragon. He was not just named after the Dragon that was bound to Aegon III's first wife and cousin, Jaehera but because of Rhaegon's unique sense of humor as he inherited his mother's spirit. Red Sands V

(Third Person POV)

[Sunspear]

"Dragon!!" a guard shouted as they heard the distant roaring

There were three distinct roars, each longer than the rest in a specific rhythm. This alerted every single one of the guards that it was Morghul as the black wings were visible from above. Back when Rhaegon spent time in Dorne, he had told House Martell that should a conflict arise, he would have Morghul roar in a specific way to let them know that it was them.

This was just in case he would be spotted during the night and the defenses would know not to fire Scorpions at him.

Morghul quickly dipped towards the courtyard outside the palace, several guards gathering in alarm as he landed hard. They were able to see Rhaegon mounted atop as Morghul let out another roar, lowering himself down as he looked around.

Rhaegon dismounted the dragon, helping Obara take Oberyn down form the saddle as the Prince was wounded.

He looked over to the guards, "Get some water!" He shouted, "And get some feed for Morghul!"

He was holding Oberyn against himself as he and Obara carried him alongside.

"It's Prince Oberyn! We had heard he disappeared after Lemonwood!" a guard said

"He was in a Dothraki encampment." Rhaegon said, "My guess is the Khal beat him and captured him. He's barely conscious!"

"Where is my uncle?" Obara asked them

"Move out of the way!" A voice said as the guards moved out of the way, "Oberyn!"

Ellaria Sand was seen, running toward them.

"Ellaria...." Rhaegon said as she reached them

"What happened?!" She exclaimed as she grabbed ahold of Oberyn, "Obara!"

"He fell in battle and was captured...." Obara said

"Oberyn..." Ellaria said as Oberyn opened his eyes, dried blood covered his entire face, "I'm here...."

"E-Ellaria...." He said coarsely

"Let's get him to a bed." Rhaegon said

Several minutes later, they were inside the palace, Oberyn was laid on a bed as the Maesters began tending to his wounds. Ellaria sat in a stool next to the bed as Rhaegon and Obara a few feet away from them.

The door opened and Prince Doran was carted inside by Aero Hotah, "What happened?" He said with concern, "I received a letter that Arianne is being escorted by Gerold Dayne to the palace. What happened to Oberyn?"

Rhaegon looked at him, "He must've fallen in Lemonwood." He said, "According to the reports, the black dragon was there. My only guess is that he faced the Khal in battle."

"Oberyn...." Doran said with a grimace, "Lemonwood.....something must have happened. I refuse to believe a simple Horselord was capable of defeating someone as mighty as my own brother...."

"I fought this Khal's father, Khal Drogo." Rhaegon told him, "He was decent in battle, but in the end, I killed him. Maybe there were other factors that played in the fight, but he was not something to write home about."

"You are just too good, I would assume." Aero said

"No, my point is that Oberyn is roughly on my level." Rhaegon said, "And if this new Khal would be similar to his father, then there's no doubt that Oberyn would have won. And I cannot say that he used his dragon since he has no burn marks....."

Obara looked at him, "What, do you think something else happened?" She asked, "He has blade wounds all over him..."

Rhaegon looked over at Oberyn, "I don't know."

"R-Rhaegon...." Oberyn coarsely said, "Doran....."

"Push me closer." Doran said

Aero pushed him towards the bed as the Maester stepped aside.

"I have cleaned his wounds and added ointments to prevent rot." the Maester said, "Fortunately, he was just dehydrated alongside the bloodloss. He will be fine with rest."

"That is good." Doran said as Rhaegon walked up to them, "Brother...I am here...."

Oberyn's right eye was slightly opened, "E-Elia...."

Doran frowned, "What about him?" He asked, "What about our sister?"

"Her children..." Oberyn said

"Brother, Elia and her children are gone..." Doran looked at the Maester, "Is he delirious?"

"I am not sure." The Maester said as he placed his hand on his forehead, "His head is a bit hot....I will get a wet cloth..."

"Elia...." Oberyn said as a single tear ran down his cheek

"Oberyn..." Ellaria said as she grabbed his hand, "What is it?"

"Aegon...." He said soflty

"Elia's boy..." Doran said, "Aegon Targaryen...."

Rhaegon grimaced, "Rhaegar's son?"

"The Khal...." Oberyn said,

"He's Elia's boy."

[The Skies Above Wyl]

Moonfyre let out a roar as Viserys was mounted atop.

He looked down at the terrain, "Seems the battle has not reached this far...." He said, "That is good.....I will reach you soon, Rhaegon. Just you wait."

The Prince of Dragonstone leaned forward as he urged his dragon to move forward faster. The dragon let out another roar as she flapped her wings and picked up the speed.

Viserys had decided to take part in the battle, thinking that Rhaegon should not go at it alone. Over the past few months, he had thought about the bond he had with his nephew. While they butted heads plenty of times, Viserys did care about him.

The last thing he wanted was to look at his sister's face, knowing that he could have helped his nephew should something have happened to him. Princess Shaena was a Targaryen through and through, a true dragonrider. Despite her being understanding should Rhaegon fall in battle, a dragonrider's death, Viserys would not accept the fact and will not be able to bring himself to look at her face.

Despite what the Realm makes Viserys Targaryen out to be, he cares for and loves his family, his blood. Whether it be his siblings, his nieces or nephews, Viserys took the Blood of The Dragon seriously. And if Rhaegon was in alliance with Dorne, that meant he was too. And he had no choice but to act and support his nephew in a time of battle.

His sudden impulse to fly south was something that Rhaegar did not see coming but could not do anything about it.

However, it would have been wiser to send Viserys North to deter the dragon that was up there. If that was the move, Rhaegar would have stayed in King's Landing should something happen.

If something were to happen.

And something will happen.

As this was planned by the Pretender.

The events were set in motion and they could not be stopped.

Viserys heard a loud roar in the distance.

He frowned, "Rhaegon?" He turned to his left and saw the figure of a dragon far ahead, "No...."

He noticed the dragon was smaller than Morghul, nearly the same size as Moonfyre and was cream in color with gold.

It was Viserra, the dragon mount of Syras Blackfyre. She had finally made her move.

"So the pretenders have their own dragons...." He said with a serious scowl, "Just great."

Viserys then heard another roar to the other side, which alarmed him. He turned to the right, seeing another massive figure.

This dragon was the same size as Morghul but had a deep shade of red. The mere sight of it was unnerving to Viserys who was not used to seeing a dragon that size that was not his nephew's.

Atop the dragon sat Khal Daegon who was casually leaning back as he held the reigns. Drogon was flapping his wings, letting out another vicious and loud roar.

This was a coordinated ambush set by Syras Blackfyre, who had struggled to get the Khal to even listen to her.

Viserys sighed and tightened his straps, "Well, I'll be damned..." He said as the wind hit his face, "This is about to get interesting.....but no matter...."

"I will not fall to these filthy mongrels."
