16 Guild regulations and preparations for Battle

[Author Note: Chapter 9 has been edited and split into two chapters, also the prototype fighter in the last chapter has been named Dark Starfighter or DSF for short]

[POV Asher]

In the command bridge.

We decided to held a meeting to talk about our Guild and present were my five Generals and Aria with her personnel Emily.

"Okay Aria can you explain to us about the Guilds responsibilities or how it works" I said

"Hmph" Aria snorted and turned sideways avoiding my gaze

But I could see her pouting through a reflexion.

`Probably still mad about that incident in the morning, how cute´ I thought

However, to my disappointment Aria quickly regained her composure befitting of a princess and began talking.

"Ahem, -well first you don´t have any responsibilities other than keeping up appearances as a guild afflicted with the imperial family"

"The Guild is registered within the Association which operates in most nations and Guilds wherever merchant, mercenaries or special guilds like this one are protected unless you break the local laws and it makes it easier to cross borders."

"And are there any benefits other than an identity card?"

"Well, there are a lot of benefits like you can get jobs from the governments or pass through the nation with such a warship which you normally can´t and you also can get discounts on various products"

"Also, if your prestige grows you might also attract a lot of various big shots and get additional benefits"

"Oh, I see and what about regulations, rules or doctrine?"

Aria stared at me blankly and said "That´s your duty to work out Guild master you have to establish your own guild rules and doctrine about how you operate"

"For example, there exists Guilds who´s doctrine is helping ingenious civilizations and protecting them from others who would enslave them"

"Vincent did we have such a doctrine already from the order of emerald moonlight?" I asked

"Yes, out motto was to bring Order to the Galaxy," said Vincent

"Good then we will use that"

"Ah! Also, you need a clear emblem, flag or insignia which makes you easily recognizable throughout the galaxy and I would also recommend to paint it on your ships side," said Aria

"Minerva do you still have our symbol of the order if yes then we will use that and paint it on our broadsides when we have time"

[Minerva: Yes, Master I still have it]

"Hmm well does anyone has anything more to add to this meeting" I said and Emily raised her hand

"So, what is it?" I asked with a curious expression

"The station contacted me that unusual activity is being detected on the border and the Naval Commander said that an attack is imminent"

"All mercenaries are asked to help and the garrison is preparing to meet the enemy"

"So, we are asked if we can help until Duke Lichtenau arrives with a reinforcement of 50 warships?" said Emily

Aria was shocked after hearing it, well understandable if you just heard it for the first time that the station you were on just now gets attacked.

"Hmm what do you think my Generals" I said

"The Resurgent is fully loaded with the purchased goods from the colony and ready to continue with our plan to go to the Unclaimed Territories and start exploring." Said Vincent

Upon hearing the plan to go to the Unclaimed Territories Aria showed a funny shocked expression.

"So, there is no need to risk staying here and engaging in a battle with the Republic" continued Vincent.

"Hmm" while lost in thoughts I noticed Aria starring at me with a pleading gaze.

"Aira, do you have something to say?"

"A- Asher if you help defending this attack, I will try to talk with the emperor to give you the records of the exploration teams and what they have found out while traveling on the outermost parts of the unclaimed territories" said Aria hastily.

"Okay then let's help the Empire defend against the Republic. These records will make our time traveling through the unclaimed territories a lot easier." I said and my Generals all nodded

"Let´s go to the war room to plan out the incoming battle" I said

After switching rooms Konstantin began to talk "Our fighters don´t have anti-ship capabilities it is best to ask the space station if they can send us some anti-ship bombs, we'll strap them to the droid starfighters"

"Agreed, the entire 2 starfighter wings will be deployed, the droid starfighters will be responsible for disrupting the enemy formation and bombing their capital and escort ships, while the TIE superiority fighter wing will defend against incoming fighters if they have any," said Vincent

"Okay, Minerva can you control the TIE´s while engaging the enemy with our capital ship?" I spoke

[Minerva: Yes, Master it is very easy for me to control hundreds of capital ships and fighter wings at the same time]

"Good then Aria will be responsible for our cooperation with the imperial navy in combat and also ask them when the reinforcements will arrive"

"Yes!" shouted Aria.

After a hour everything was ready to meet the enemy.

Anti-ship bombs where send to us and we provisionally attached them to the droid fighters.

All 240 fighters of our two wings were ready to be deployed. They were still waiting in our hangars to surprise the enemy.

Thanks to Aria the imperial forces aligned themselves with us in an arrow formation.

The resurgent in the middle with three destroyers, two heavy cruisers and a light cruiser on each side.

In the front of the resurgent was another heavy cruiser with three normal cruisers and 30 mercenary spacecrafts.

Coming to a total of 17 warships and 270 fighters.
