17 Battle of Dolonde
[Third Person View]
In the space near the Dolonde Space Station.
The combined forces of the imperial forces were waiting patiently in formation.
17 Warships and 30 spacecrafts were aligned in a neat arrow shaped formation.
The atmospheres of the crews of each ship were tense and nervous as they have to hold out for one day until Duke Lichtenau came with reinforcements.
Inside the command bridge of the resurgent.
Asher sat on his command chair and Aria with Emily and the five Generals were standing behind him waiting for orders.
"Is everything ready" asked Asher
"Yes, all troops are ready," said Vincent.
"Good Minerva scan their ship types when they appear" ordered Asher
[Minerva: Yes Master]
Suddenly 60 ships jumped out of hyperspace not far from opposite of the formation.
[Minerva: Ships classes detected: 13 Destroyers, 8 heavy cruisers, 10 cruisers, 14 frigates and 15 corvettes]
"Good Minerva concentrate the fire on the destroyers and heavy cruisers and Vincent send out the fighter Wings to target the frigates and corvettes," said Asher
[Minerva: Yes Master]
"Yes, Guildmaster," said Vincent
"Should some of the cruisers come too close permission to fire concussion missiles is given, "said Asher
(A/N: Well, the resurgent is also equipped with concussion missiles as a standard armament, which was not mentioned in the past.)
The shields were fully turned on and the muzzles of the laser cannons turned slowly towards the enemy's main ships.
The two-star fighter wings rushed out from the hangars positioning themselves to the predetermined battle plan.
"Blast them" ordered Asher
Over 1500 laser beams could be seen shot toward the enemy's capital ships

The first to bear the bombardment from the resurgent were six destroyers turning them into a sieve of holes and exploding like a firework.
The enemy didn´t wait long and returned fire with their canons.

The resurgent as the core ship of the formation was also under heavy bombardment but thanks to the shields no damage was done.
The Droid Fighters rushed forward with high speeds breaking into the enemy formation and sending their anti-ship bombs towards the corvettes and frigates dealing heavy damage toward most of them.
It is a chaotic battle with everyone trying their best to deal damage to the other side.
Fighters flying past, shells exploding on the ships and damaging them.
After another salvo from the resurgent another six destroyers were either heavily damaged or destroyed. With only one destroyer left the resurgent turned its attention towards the other warships.
The Crews of the other enemy ships could feel that the attention of that giant was no longer on their capital ships and they had to come up with a plan fast.
The remaining undamaged corvettes and frigates tried to deal damage toward the resurgent, but were stopped by the imperial warships which also suffered lightly under the bombardment.

After one hour of fighting the battle was decided for the imperials victory with the republican's retreat.
The Republic lost entirely 10 destroyers, 2 heavy cruisers, 3 cruisers, 9 frigates and 11 corvettes. The rest of the republicans' ships suffered damage and will be in dock for months.
An overwhelming victory, but Ashers side also suffered loses namely 1 destroyer, 3 heavy cruisers and 1 cruiser. While the rest of the imperial garrison suffered varying degrees of damage.
Also, one third of the mercenaries active on that day perished along with their spacecrafts.

"Minerva status report of our ship and fighters," said Asher
[Minerva: The Resurgent has suffered light damage which is being repaired by the droids. However, our hypermatter fuel has been lessened it is advised to search for hypermatter or alternatives otherwise the resurgent can´t continue more than five such energy intensive battles.
Our droid starfighter wing lost 63 fighters in this battle and using them from now on is advised with caution. Furthermore, we lost three TIE fighters while defending against the smaller warships.]
"Sigh"
"Damm, half the wing destroyed and it is clear that the matter with base can no longer be delayed"
"Once Duke Lichtenau arrives, we will immediately depart toward the unclaimed territories," said Asher
"Yes Guildmaster" said the people standing near Asher
"Also, Minerva can you process our resources on board and build assembly ready base structures?" said Asher
[Minerva: Yes Master, I will begin immediately]
"Good do that" said Asher in appreciation.
After the battle a lot of cleanup work had to be done as the space was filled with debris of destroyed ships but with the help of civilians the space was cleared in a few hours.
A lot of merchant and private ships were used to transport the debris back to the space station to process it into raw materials.
Most of the resources used in warships are quite valuable and can catch high prices which is why after such battles most civilians help in the clean up to get a share from the pie.
Later, Duke Lichtenau arrived with the reinforcements and Asher and his crew could begin with their journey to the unclaimed territories.
They didn´t wait long and jumped into hyperspace toward the southern borders, after of course getting the reward for defending Dolonde which was one million coins.
