Denizen of The Hellish World

We journeyed back towards my base on the beach, but on our way, we saw movement in the underbrush of the forest. It came at first as a rustling noise and then a hellish shriek of pure malevolence.

From the depths of the brush, an enormous lizard ran for me. My eyes met its own and they were glowing red and yellow with pure lust for blood. It ran on two legs and had two shorter arms in the air with razor sharp claws.

I quickly raised my crossbow and controlled my breathing as I aimed for its head and slowly squeezed the trigger. Like a bat from hell, my arrow sped from the crossbow and lodged itself in the monster's eye.

The monster did not die, instead it stumbled and shrieked loud enough to hurt my ears. It widened its stance as it turned its one good eye towards me. Its teeth were bared at me as its one good eye locked onto my own and widened until it turned bloodshot.

Behind me Isot had pulled his bow from his inventory and was aiming at the monster. As the monster was slightly shocked, I removed the three bolas that I had made the previous night. They were heavy, and as I swung one, I aimed it in front of the monster's two feet.

I released as the monster began its mad dash towards me again. The bola hit the monsters' legs that were pumping up and down close to each other and it entangled them. The monster fell flat on its face as its momentum carried it towards me, teeth grinding dirt.

I threw the two remaining bolas back in my inventory and removed my crossbow. As I loaded it, Isot released his arrow. It sped to the monster and hit it square upon the skull. The arrowhead shattered and the shaft splintered to oblivion against the skull as though it were made of steel.

The monster screamed at me as I had just loaded my crossbow. Its two legs were currently immobilized, but its arms and head were not. Its arms attempted to reach down to the pesky bola but could not.

It snorted and with a lunge that twisted its body in a circle it brought its teeth down and severed the fibers of the bola along with a portion of each of its feet.

As the monster adroitly brought itself back upright and opened its jaws towards my head, I breathed out and then calmly pressed the trigger of my crossbow. The arrow flew true and entered through the opening between its jaws and pierced through the soft tissue of its mouth all the way to the monster's brain.

I stepped to the side and the monster fell where I had stood. I let out a sigh as adrenaline pumped through me. "Shit!"

Suddenly, a blue window opened in front of me, and I glanced at it.

I had put away my ax, but now wanted to tear open the two sigils. I removed them both and stacked them on top of each other as I ripped them both apart.

Two small blue portals opened simultaneously, one atop the other. A combat knife and a piece of paper fell from the air and I caught them both, one in each hand. They disappeared in my inventory, so I went to look at each.

I ripped open the engram and I felt nothing at all. I shrugged and turned to Isot. "Let's go cook the meat from this deadass velociraptor. Good job by the way, we ain't the lowest thing on the food chain no more."

He nodded and then we left.

Yes, there are dinosaurs like the T-Rex boss which has already been mentioned and the megalodon which killed him first. What other dinosaurs should I add?
