I slept like a rock. When I opened my eyes, there were streams of sunlight that pierced through the twig structure to reach my eyes, and thankfully not a spear.

I yawned and then slowly picked myself off of the hard floor I had slept upon. I quickly glanced at my inventory, and I found that my stamina had been fully restored from the sleep I had taken.

After thinking of that, I felt my stomach rumble. I was grib-grabbitey hungry; meaning I wasn't planning on being a picky eater.

The sky was blue, and the air was crisp. It felt quite refreshing to be outside. The small trees and fibrous plants had been cleared out around the area where I had put my base down and so I noticed there were some traces of an animal of some sort that probably had passed through as I was sleeping.

I removed my crossbow from my inventory, and I loaded it. I continued past my small base further inland. I had passed through a dense forest with much taller trees when I came upon a hill where there were very few trees.

I climbed the hill and upon the top of it, I saw a man with a pickaxe. He was hitting a large shining rock as I came behind him and he did not notice me.

I had two options. I could kill him, or I could perhaps form a tribe that the system had previously mentioned. I knew that if I killed him, it would be murder because he would not revive. I rolled the choice around in my head for a moment. I would give the man a chance, but I would not let my guard down.

I kept some distance from him, and I cleared my throat. "Well lil bro, how long have you been here on this hellscape?"

The pickaxe disappeared in his inventory, and he quickly spun around with a bow in his hand. His eyes darted to my crossbow which was leveled at his heart and his lips parted. "Only a day."

I smiled. "You in a tribe?"

"No."

"Neither am I, but I want to make one. Rather than killing you here and now, which would truly be a waste, would you consider joining me?"

He sighed and then lowered his bow. "It's bloody obvious that's the only choice."

I quickly interacted with my system and made a tribe.

I quickly typed in the name I had come up with as well as other things. I had decided upon them quickly. As soon as I had created the tribe, I felt a quick flash of pain as a blue light lanced through my body. The pain quickly vanished, and the tribe window changed.

After glancing at his subject numbering identification, I lowered my crossbow and approached him as I outstretched my hand. "What was your name before you died?"

He shrugged after shaking my hand. "I don't know. I can remember everything in my life except names. I cannot remember my family's names, much less my own. Now that I think about it, that bothers me."

I nodded. "Yeah, the motherfucking gods who slapped us on this island like a moldy slice of bread. They don't care about us. We are free as food for all of the stronger animals, like the Megalodon that first ate me."

I thought for a moment and then I had an idea. "We are inevitably tied to these numbers we have been given. Why not expand off them. That is always what humans have done; wild attempts to improve what we are given in life."

"That is true, Mr. philosopher. What do you suggest?"

"My name is 6535 and yours is 8712, why should we not add one letter from the number and form it into a name in a coherent manner. For instance, my name would be Seti and yours would be Isot. I don't know if that is what a name is supposed to sound like because I don't have a fucking reference, but I know that it works in terms of word structure."

He smiled. "Seti and Isot, I like it."

What do guys you think about the names?
