Not A Fun Night

A red Audi pulled up in front of a building, and soon after a black one parked beside the red one.

A female figure stepped out of the car while the driver remained in the car, with the two other males who were dressed like guards staying inside the other car.

"Kyra you came!"

A blonde haired young lady exclaimed and ran towards the person who just got out of the car.

"Of course I came, Kelsie. You called and it sounded urgent.

So here I am. What's the emergency."

"Well... about that..."

"Kelsie...?"

"There's no real emergency... I lied. I mean there is sorta an emergency but it's not the kind you're thinking. I just called you here so that us friends could get together and have some fun."

Kyra sighed as she face palmed herself.

"Really Kelsie... this trick again?

I had something important to attend to at the office and you made me rush here just so we could have fun?"

Kyra sighed again.

"Don't lie to me you don't have any work to do for now. Ethan told me your schedule is free for the night.

Plus you do owe me this for being 'too busy' to make time for my birthday yesterday."

Kelsie spoke as she pouted.

"I really am sorry for yesterday I was really busy and you know that."

Kelsie just continued to pout as she crossed her arms over her chest, turning her head away from Kyra.

"Okay fine I'll do whatever you want today to make up for it. Will you forgive me then?"

Kelsie's face lit up as she flashed a smile.

" Of course I forgive you, I already did. And don't worry I do understand that you were busy. Sorry for lying to make you come here. I didn't want to but if I hadn't you wouldn't come. Anyways enough about that since you agreed let's go."

She held her arm tightly as she pulled Kyra along with her into the building.

The place was surrounded by youthful, lively people dancing to the beat of a not-so loud hip music playing, with others either chatting, having a drink,or both.

"A bar?You made me come here to drink?"

Kyra face palmed again as she spoke.

Kelsie rolled her eyes at Kyra's remark.

"Don't be like that. Trust me it'll be fun."

"I see now why you lied to get me to come here."

Kelsie let out a chuckle.

"Don't worry I know you hate crowded places so I chose here: it's not so crowded, and the security is top-notch so the chances of shady things happening is low.

Come let's go to the upper floor, there are less people there."

She pulled Kyra along with her towards the elevator.

Kyra didn't try to hesitate and simply just followed her.

"Let's just get this over with," she said as the elevator door closed shut when they entered.

"Great Kelsie is back..oh hey,Kyra"

A man with reddish amber-like eyes and midnight black hair with traces of a strawberry blonde color at the edges said when the two friends reached their table.

There was another man with grey eyes and dark brown hair seated beside him.

"Ethan? Vade? I thought it was going to be just the two of us Kelsie. Why are they here?"

Kyra said as she turned to look at Kelsie who took a seat beside the other two men."

"Well I did initially plan for it to be just the two of us,but things are more fun when there's more than two people, don't you agree?"

Kyra just sighed again and took a seat beside Kelsie.

"Yeah Kiki, haven't you heard of the more the merrier?"

Ethan said as he focused his gaze on Kyra and sipped some water.

"Kiki?" Kyra's brows knitted in confusion upon hearing the name Ethan addressed her as.

"It's your new pet name; Kiki. It's amazing I know, you don't need to thank me,"Ethan said and took another sip of the water in the glass he was holding.

"Thank you?"

"You're welcome."

A smug smile formed on Ethan's face, causing Kyra to sigh again.

" Unbelievable. Kelsie remind me again why this goof is here."

"Goof? Oh wow Kiki I'm flattered, that's a cute pet name. How do you come up with them?"

The smug smile remained in Ethan's face, annoying Kyra the more.

"You're very annoying, it's hard to believe I haven't murdered you yet."

" Great a lot of people want to murder me... I must be really special then aren't I, Kiki?"

"If you call me that again I'll burry you six feet under the ground. You know you're very lucky you're my brother's friend otherwise I'd have-"

"Okay, okay that's enough arguing for the night. We're here for fun not to witness a wrestling match with words." Kelsie interjected

"How about we play a game to lighten the mood huh? Anyone with ideas?" she continued to speak.

"What about the 'what's the most' game? It's fun and it's not so childish," Vade, the man with the grey eyes seated beside Ethan finally spoke.

" That's perfect Vade. We all know the ground rules of this game right?"

"I don't" Kyra said with a hint of boredom in her voice.

"Ok the game is simple. I'll ask a question with the preamble what's the most... and then you'll answer honestly. If you're not able to come up with an answer you lose, and the one who's able to answer all questions correctly wins. That's all there is to the game."

"Sounds childish," Kyra spoke again, making it clear that she was getting bored.

"Maybe it is...but it's fun. Ok I'll go first," Kelsie, the only one who was really interested in the game, spoke.

"Ok Kyra, I'll ask you first. What's the most unbelievable thing anyone has said to you."

"A lot of people want to murder me, I must be really special then" Kyra answered plainly without wasting time, causing Kelsie to sigh and both Vade and Ethan to chuckle.

"I probably shouldn't have asked that. Ok Vade it's your turn to answer the question."

Vade placed his hand on his chin as he cocked his head a little to the left.

"Hmm...the most unbelievable thing huh..let me think..."

"You have less than a minute to answer else you're out."

"No need to rush me I remember.

The most unbelievable thing anyone has ever said to me is...I like how deep your voice is"

"Really that's the most unbelievable thing?" Kelsie asked confused.

"A guy said that to me...."Vade said as he glanced at Ethan with narrowed eyes, causing Ethan to let out a sigh.

" I'm sure that was just a harmless compliment which you misunderstood as 'the guy' trying to flirt with you coz he's gay" Ethan said as he also looked at Vade with narrowed eyes with Kyra and Kelsie just staring back at them, confused as to what was happening.

"I'm not trying to say 'the guy' is gay I'm just trying to say that I find what 'the guy' said unbelievable."

"And I'm not trying to say that you're trying to say 'the guy' is gay."

"You know what this game is boring. Why don't we just have something to drink that's better right?" Kelsie said trying to lighten the mood.

Upon her signal a waitress came to their table and served them some drinks.

"Would any of you like some snacks to go with your drink, please?"

She asked and Kyra just ignored everything that was happening, whilst Kelsie and Vade nodded as no.

"What about you,Sir? Would you like some snacks?" she said as she turned to Ethan.

"No thanks sweetie, you're already a snack to my eyes" he said as he flashed a smile and winked at her, causing her to blush.

For a moment she just remained standing there staring at Ethan,as if she was in a trance. Ethan stared back at her, his eyes seemed as if he was trying to hypnotize her,and it looked like it was working.

Suddenly Kyra snapped her fingers and that seemed to break the reverie the waitress was stuck in.

She seemed confused as she turned to walk away.

" You're a Varnix doesn't mean you have the right to hypnotize someone. Try to be more careful there are humans here. Someone could have seen you and become suspicious."

"Are you saying all this because I did and said all that to her and not you?" Ethan said with a smug smile playing on his lips.

"You wish" Kyra said as she stood up.

"Hey Kyra don't go yet" Kelsie called after her when she started to walk away.

" Don't worry I'm not leaving. I'm just going to the washroom to wash my hands." she said and with that she left.

"Well things didn't go as fun as I planned. So much for a fun night"

Kelsie said as she sighed and took a sip of her drink.

"So who won the game?" Vade asked but the only answer he got was silence and a glare from Kelsie.
