Masked Strangers

After following the directions Kyra found her way to the washroom and entered it.

She didn't really have anything to do, she just wanted some time away from Ethan's annoying self.

After she was done washing her hands she reached for one of the paper towels when she suddenly stopped.

In the mirror in front her she saw the figure of someone approaching her,but when she turned, there was no one,as if the person vanished or she was just hallucinating.

Her brows raised in confusion when she could still sense the presence of someone, but still couldn't see anyone.

Strange.

Feeling a bit uncomfortable now she made her way to the door and walked out, all the while scanning the surroundings behind her to see if someone was stalking her, but there was no one.

Her sixth sense snapped to a red alert when she felt the same presence behind her again.

She turned around quickly as she withdrew her gun and aimed it at the browned skin brunette that now stood before her.

Kyra rested her hand on the trigger but before she could pull it there was a loud gunshot, blood spilled from the woman's chest, and she fell down with a thud.

That bullet attack happened so fast Kyra almost didn't have time to react to it all,but her senses kicked back in when she noticed the person responsible for that gunshot.

A tall man stood some feet away from her,his deep sapphire blue eyes were still fixated on the bloody body below him.

His hands were covered with black gloves and the red gun with dragons encrusted in gold at the sides of it which he held was still aimed at the body.

He wore a deep red blazer jacket which had the same dragon symbol at the back of it, and black jeans to match.

A light red scarf was around his neck and a black bandana around his lower face, substituting for a mask.

He had a black stud with the image of a dragon engraved in it on his left ear.

His waist-length coal black hair blew in the wind as he stood there, looking like a deadly assassin.

He redirected his gun to aim at Kyra,as his gaze also shifted from the body to her.

Kyra switched to a fighting stance as she aimed at him,her eyes looming over him and scanning his,to see whether he was as harmless as he appeared to be, or as dangerous as his aura felt, but his eyes and expression betrayed nothing.

He lowered his gun,and took slow but calculated steps towards her.

Kyra kept her gun aimed at him.

"Stay where you are, don't come any closer."

She said as she shot him a warning glance.

He stopped moving when he was just a few feet away from her.

"So this is Kyra Aikin up close...hmm...I expected you to look more innocent, and here I meet eyes filled with bloodlust. Tell me,who are you planning to shoot with that toy...me?"

A slight smirk formed on his face as he took a step towards her.

"I said stay where you are"

Kyra put her hand on the trigger, ready to pull it, but stopped when he put his gun back in his pockets and showed her his empty palms, indirectly saying he was defenseless.

"Go on why did you stop?...Pull the trigger."

He said as he lowered back his hands and took another step closer, until he was too close for Kyra's comfort.

Without giving him the chance to come any closer she exerted pressure on the trigger, but before anything else could happen the gun suddenly yanked itself away from her grip,as if a powerful force pushed it away from her,and the bullet hit against a pillar.

Looking back at him she realized he was the cause of it, even though he didn't even move a muscle.

He used telepathy? This person wasn't a normal human.

Kyra balled her hands into a fist.

"Please put your fists down, I'm not here to fight you."

Kyra knitted her brows in confusion.

She scrutinized his reactions, but he still seemed as if he was harmless. Her instincts weren't even kicking in , meaning he didn't pose a threat...for now; but she still didn't let her guard down.

"Who... what are you? What do you want? Why are you here?"

She glared at him as she tried to read his thoughts and intentions, but couldn't.

"I could answer you now,but what are you gonna do about them?"

Turning her gaze away from him,Kyra noticed ten people had surrounded the place; five on the left side, and five on the right, blocking all exits.

Who were there masked strangers?

And who was this man in front of her?

Why did she have the feeling that he wasn't a foe?

************

"I feel like Kyra lied to me when she said she'd be back soon."

Kelsie said as she sighed.

"Well I can't blame her though, this isn't exactly as fun as I said it'd be."

"It is for me, I'm really enjoying myself just sitting around sipping drinks and staring at people."

Ethan said as he wore a fake smile, causing Kelsie to roll her eyes at him.

"You're the reason she even left in the first place and you're here being sacarstic. I'll go look for her,you two stay here and don't move."

Kelsie said as she stood up.

Just then they heard a loud sound coming from the direction Kyra took when she left.

Ethan and Vade stood up as well, their senses now on a red alert as they could feel the presence of unknown people lurking around them.

"Wait that sounded like a gun...Kyra! Lemme go check--

"Wait Kelsie watch out!"

Ethan said as he held her hand and pushed her close to him, preventing her from moving forward further.

At that moment a dagger whooshed past them, and shattered the huge glass window behind them.

Suddenly some people dressed in all black came out of the shadows, looking at the trio as they drew out their weapons.

At this, several people in the room started screaming and shouting as they rushed to the exits in a panic.

Ethan's guards and some of the the other guards who worked in the bar encircled the trio as they aimed their guns at the intruders.

Looking back at the people dressed in black surrounding him, Ethan narrowed his gaze as he observed them.

"Those are Raiden's men. This must be an ambush attack."

He said as he reached for his gun as well.

"I've longed for some action, and these mindless sheep just willingly offered themselves."

He said as a smirk played on his lips and his gaze turned serious.

"Vade, take Kelsie and the other humans safely outside... I'll deal with the 'play toys' and go find Kyra."

His aura turned deadly and his eyes burned with bloodlust as he glared at the masked strangers in front of him.
