Chapter 34. Segwey Jon

Ace looked down the sea and with a frown, he picked up a sword from one of the pile of ashes on the deck, then suddenly threw the sword towards a specific location inside the sea.

Everyone looked down then saw the sea turn red where he had thrown the sword.

The rear admiral that had jumped into the sea had died so simply.

"Brat, you truly have incurred the anger of the world upon yourself." The vice admiral said as his fist turned black.

Ace didn't have time to respond as the Vice admiral attacked him with all his might.

Ace's hands also turned black as he caught the vice admirals fist.

As his fist got caught, Vice admiral Kaluka became very shocked. He isn't a slacker in the strength department, yet, this rookie caught his fully powered fist.

Kaluka tried to pull back his fist but he couldn't. Ace's grip was to strong.

Kaluka showed a surprised face as he realised that the Flame Emperor wasn't just very advanced in his devil fruit abilities, no, his physical strength was also way stronger than his own.

Ace held Kaluka's fist with his left hand and then punched Kaluka with his right.

Kalukas head flew back so hard that his body followed, yet, he wasn't blown away as Ace held onto Kaluka's fist.

And to Kaluka, he couldn't even dodge as Ace's fist was too fast for him to see, he only felt a very powerful force hit his face and then the force of it blew away his head and body, yet he was held in place.

Kaluka felt that the world started spinning as he could barely keep his consciousness because of the punch.

Ace saw that Kaluka had a sword on his hip, so he drew it and cut of Kaluka's head.

The Boa sisters were very surprised by Ace's strength and how he manhandled a vice admiral.

Sure, Boa Hancock could also take on a vice admiral and win quite fast, but her physical strength wasn't so superior to a vice admiral that she could make it look like she was beating up a kid.

"Empress, how should we handle him?" Sandersonia asked. Worriedly, she felt like they might have a very serious fight later.

Hancock didn't say anything.

Next thing they saw was that Ace drew Kakukss sword from his hip, and then Kakukss head was a few meters in the sky.

"..."

"He really did it now."

" He actually killed all the Marines in a world government ship, that is currently carrying a World Noble."

"This man is dangerous." Hancock finally said. From this fight she had realised that not only was Ace's Haki much superior, but also his physical strength.

In fact, she realised that Ace might be on an admiral level, if not stronger.

'Where did this young man come from? Why have I never heard of him before?" Hancock questioned herself in her mind.

To be this strong but unknown was very strange.

*pururu* *pururu*

Suddenly, something from Kaluka's body started ringing.

Ace found a den den mushi from Kaluka's pocket and he answered it.

"Vice admiral Kaluka, did you seceed in convincing saint Sewgew Jon to not engage with the pirates?" A serious voice asked through the dem den mushi.

Ace eyes turned to the nervous Boa sisters as they stared at eachother.

"Vice admiral?" The person asked as he got no answer.

"Not bad, sending a warlord and a vice admiral after me, Sengoku." Ace said in a monotone voice.

"Flame Emperor Ace! What have you done? Saint Jon better be alive, you don't understand the consequences if you... harmed him." Sengoku threatened seriously.

Suddenly a bang was heard as a door behind Ace got slammed open. Saint Segwey Jon angrily walked outside.

"Have you killed that pirate yet? Don't let me....." Saint Jon's words stopped as his eyes widened.

'Where is everyone? Why is the pirate onboard talking with a den den mushi? Is that Kaluka's body? Where is his head?' many questions went through Saint Jon's head as his eyes widened.

Sengoku sighed in relief as he heard the world nobles voice.

"What happened here!? How dare you board my ship. I'll enslave you, and torture you until you beg me for mercy. I'll find your whole family and enslave them!" Saint Segwey Jon suddenly became furious and started shouting at Ace.

Suddenly, Saint Jon smelled smoke and looked at his own shoulder where he found a growing red flame.

Flame grew towards his torso and Saint Jon's started shrieking in pain, he tried putting out the flame but nothing worked. The flame was so hot that it was painful but it didn't kill him instantly.

As Sengoku heard the painful shrieking of Saint Jon he got furious.

"Pirate scum Ace! Don't you dare harm Saint Segwey Jon!" Sengoku furiously shouted.

"Ah, his only chance of survival was the Empress, but as soon as he saw her, he commanded her to leave. He seemed annoyed by her. Ace lied as he turned his face towards the the shocked Boa sisters.

"Your little vice admiral tried reasoning with him but he refuted, saying that he didn't need help from pirates. He commanded the Kuja pirate to sail away while commanding the vice admiral to take me down. And this is the result." Ace lied once again, weaving a false story so that Boa Hancock would owe him one.

He hoped that she would turn his Nakama back into humans.

Sengoku didn't speak as he felt like the celestial dragons were indeed... Unreasonable in that way.

Soon the shouting slowed down as saint Jon died, there was only a black, burn carcass left of him now.

"Do you understand what this means?" Sengoku asked in an eerily calm tone.

"War." Ace answered, and after he answered, the den mushi died down.

"..." Silence overtook the scene as the Boa sisters were confused by why he had protected them and their secret.

They had originally expected him to reveal their secret, but instead, he killed everyone and protected them by telling lies.

"... We are your enemies... We were about to fight each other just moments ago, why did you protect us?" Sandersonia asked with shame in her tone.

"This thing that you want to keep a secret, has nothing to do with my relationship with the world government." Ace responded coldly.

"I hate the world government for the evil they have done, and as a pirate, the marines are my enemies.... Why should I help them?" Ace finally asked.
