"Lil are you there??" Max asked through the phone in a saddened voice. Lilith lifts up the phone to her ear once snapping back into reality.
"Yeah I'm here. What were you saying about Blake and Roy?? Don't tell me they've been throwing their guns at each other again..... Those boys are so much trouble....haha" Lily laughs at the thought of what they could've done this time.
"T-they they are dead Lil. They where in the truck up front when they went we were ambushed they got taken out first.....some idiot threw a smoke grenade.... they're gone Lill" Maxwell tries to explain the best he could in his saddened state.
"Okay come home soon, we are all we have left." Lilith holds back a tear knowing that Roy nor her brothers could hold or comfort her.
"Yeah I'll be back next week or so.talk to you soon sis." Her brother says before hanging up and leaving her house silent heavy with the dark news. Saddened she grabbed a warm blanket and a shot gun and headed for the flat roof.
She walked up the stairs remembering all the times she had to guide the drunk boys up the stairs. She walked up and remembered the smell of sweat and mud that came off of their uniforms after a long day. She looked at the pictures on the wall of the boys and their kind and gentle mother, the big eyed little girl and the 'adopted' little boy.
She got up to the roof went near the edge. Where she set out her blanket and layed down beside her trusted old shotgun. She looked up at the stars and imagined that the three were beside her, watching the stars with her.
