Family Talks

It was another evening in the Evans mansion, but the atmosphere was charged.

Cynthia, George, and Gloria sat on the same couch in the living room, George was in the middle with one hand holding his iPhone 14 Pro Max and having a live video call with his father.

"And so, this is how things are at the moment," coming through the speaker of George's phone, Robert's voice seemed even more tired than how it was.

George had one protective arm around Gloria, it has been a reoccurring event recently. Her husband was sleeping outside today too.

"I'm sorry dear," Robert's dejected voice came through once more.

"Oh Robert, what are you saying? What you've done today isn't something you need to apologize to me for…" Gloria retorted. She couldn't begin to imagine leaving Henry alone after something like that.

"…You've been awfully quiet while I was talking endlessly," Robert implied, not specifying who exactly he was referring to as being quiet.
