But the Divine Lightning Sword Technique, as he discovered after digesting the entire manual, only had two forms: one for offense, one for defense.

During his research, Su'en discovered that almost all seven forms of the Black Lightning Sword Technique had been woven together using threads of the Divine Lightning Sword Technique.

"I wonder who imitated the Divine Lightning Sword Technique with such success. They must be a true master!" Su'en sighed at the sheer similarity between the two techniques.

After flipping through the Divine Lightning Sword Technique manual for a while, Su'en gained some idea of how to cultivate both its offensive and defensive forms.

However, first, he had to nurture a Sword Embryo with lightning attributes in his Energy Sea, which required one to absorb the Divine Lightning that existed between heaven and earth. Divine Lightning Breath was one of the most destructive attributes in the world–at high cultivation levels, it could destroy a whole mountain and the sect which resided on it!
