CHAPTER 37: RITA'S FURY

Meanwhile, back in Arlo's home world.

Immediately after Arlo disappeared.

"Huh?" the fourth invader that stabbed Arthur was confused by the turn of events. At this point, they didn't know what was going on anymore.

They were the hegemony of this world. There had been rumors that there was a small village that was being occupied by several masters.

To nip this problem in the bud, they ultimately decided to destroy the village. However, they didn't dare to be complacent and sent their strongest masters including their king who was acclaimed to be unrivaled in the world.

However, since they started this mission, they had always had this feeling that they were playing into someone else's hands. As if they were pawns.

"What the hell is going on?" the newly appeared fourth person asked the original three who were fighting against Arthur.

"How the hell should I know?" a middle-aged man in golden armor voiced out grumpily. He was their king, the acclaimed strongest fighter of this world, yet he had to join with his two strongest commanders to face off against Arthur and they were still on the defensive.

So right now, he was pissed off. He just didn't have a place to vent his anger.

The fourth man shut his lips and didn't dare to talk anymore.

*Crack!*

The four of them simultaneously turned to where the sound came from.

The stone statue of Arthur and Rita cracked and not before long...

*Boom!*

They exploded into pieces.

Two figures appeared before them. Their eyes almost popped out of their sockets when they identified the two figures.

Arthur smiled bitterly as he looked at the still Rita who had her eyes fixed on the bloodstain on Arthur's shirt.

"I can explain," Arthur whispered.

"What the hell is going on?" The king of the invaders voiced out in confusion. He didn't understand what was going on.

Arthur's brow furrowed tightly.

He waved his hand.

"Huh?"

That was the last thought that went through the king and all his people before they were forever expelled into the void.

They would roam the endless void either until they died of old age or get killed by the vicious space turbulences.

All by the mere wave of a hand.

He didn't even look in their direction.

Martin and all the village masters quickly scurried away, as they were too scared to bear the brunt of Rita's fury.

Ari appeared beside the stunned Tina, grabbed her, and quickly made her way toward the village.

"Rita, please let me explain," said Arthur as he raised his hand to soothe the listless Rita.

"AH!" Rita suddenly jumped on Arthur with both her legs wrapped around his waist.

She raised both her hands and smashed them continuously on Arthurs' shoulder.

Arthur didn't resist at all and received all of her attacks.

After a while, Rita changed her attack method and started pulling tightly on Arthur's hair.

"AAAH!" She screamed out in frustration.

She could guess what had just happened. She knew this day was coming, however, she thought she would face it head-on.

To think Arthur would implement the plan without her consent.

She felt so angry!

She raised her head and bit Arthur's left shoulder.

After a short while, Rita raised her head and whispered dejectedly:

"You did it again!"

Arthur's body trembled greatly after hearing her words. He felt his heart tighten from pain and his calm expression crumpled into sadness.

Realizing what she had just said, Rita broke down completely in tears.

"I didn't mean that. My mind was a bit clouded…I'm sorry…I really didn't mean…"

"I know. It's okay," Arthur patted her on the back and whispered softly into her left ear.

She released her legs from his waist and fell into his embrace as she cried her heart out.

After a while, Rita collected herself.

However, she still remained in Arthur's embrace and they both continued to stand on the spot.

She suddenly thought of something, and a sly glint flashed past her eyes.

"I forgive you. I understand why you acted in such a way," Rita suddenly said.

Arthur tightened his arms on her delicate waist, as he said gratefully:

"Thank you."

"However, you have to show me that thing."

Arthur's expression suddenly stiffened, and his face turned black immediately after.

After a short while, he released a dejected sigh and accepted his fate.

He knew this would happen.

However, he still hoped it wouldn't.

Alas!

"Okay," he said with a hoarse voice.

"Humph, you had better." Even though she said such words, her sumptuous lips still arched upward into a beautiful smile.

Rita sat on the bed,

With an excited expression, she hurried Arthur to act.

"Be fast!:

"What are you waiting for?"

"Where would you like to start?" Arthur asked with a wry smile on his face.

Rita thought for a moment before she clapped both her hands together.

"Why don't we start from where you stopped telling little Arl."

'Fuck you, Karmic god! I will make you pay for this, goddammit!'

With a defeated sigh, Arthur pressed the forefinger and middle finger of his right hand on his forehead.

With a pull, a wave of spiritual energy was released from his head.

After executing a special technique, his spiritual energy turned into a screen and a series of images started flashing on it.

Rita's eyes flashed with excitement as she waved her hand at Arthur, beckoning him to leave, her entire focus on the screen before her.

Arthur on the other hand left the room with a dispirited heart.
