Chapter 23: Test of skills 3

When she was watching his matches, she realized that she might not be able to win him even if she banned tamano mo mae as he expected, so she decided she'll ban ibaraki dojo instead and then use tamano mo mae instead since it would be unexpected and then she'll make him dance to her own rhythm.

The atmosphere is tense as they and a lot of viewers and fans worldwide watched the game. Jordy and Kai are her two partners and as they face their opponents leaving Aj to face Kim Kyun

The match was of three stages. If a team is able to win the first two rounds, then there wouldn't be a third round. But if the scores are tied at 1-1, then the third round would be played as Aj against Kim Kyun.

All the players picked their characters and each character had a special skill. In the first round, Aj, Jordy and Kai played a defensive game. They waited for their opponents to attack first. While, their opponents came from their base to theirs, they were busy farming. 'Farming was a term used to say that they were gathering resources and abilities'.

By the time their opponents had reached them, Kai was not done farming, so his opponent had an advantage over him and reduced his life drastically. This wasn't a good start for them, as the character killed Kai. Jordy played cat and dog with his opponent and to gain an advantage, he pushed a tower and was able to kill his opponent.

Kai had successfully responded before Kim Kyun could make it to where Aj was. Kai and Jordy intercepted Kim Kyun and his team mate as their aim was to destroy Aj. In the midst of this, Aj hid in a bush and when Kim Kyun slipped away, he was caught unawares by Aj who simultaneously finished him as Jordy and Kai finished of his team mate before the third character had responded earning them a 1-0 in the first round.

In the second round, Jordy, Kai and Aj played attack. Their dodges, attacks and running were precise earning them an advantage but they got too carried away that they didn't realise  when one of their opponents responded and headed to their base. While they were trying to keep Kim Kyun and his other teammate busy to avoid them from striking back and potentially reducing their lives, their third character destroyed their base tying the score at 1-1.

This was what Aj was avoiding. She wasn't scared of Kim Kyun. No, far from it. She just wasn't ready to play a one on one match with the best tamano mo mae users in the world while the whole world was watching. She sometimes wondered why the guy didn't just join a team rather that disturb innocent lives like hers. But now that it had come to this, there was no turning back.

It was time for the third round but unexpectedly, rather than shiver with fear, Lianne simply popped a candy into her mouth.

"Of all times, you have to just take candy" Dami said and Lianne responded sarcastically "What? Do you expect me to fidget in fear over a match whose outcome I don't even know? As far as I'm concerned, I have every opportunity to win as he does" she rounded up just as the game was about to start

3...2...1. The game started in a blast as they both played attack hitting and dodging simultaneously. It was a match between two professionals so it took longer than usual. Halfway into the game and their lives were still half. Aj had popped countless amount of candy claiming that she needed sugar to remain active. Slash after slash and Kim Kyun was now in the lead. While his life was slightly below half, Lianne's life had reduced drastically. She needed to think of a way out and her brain was now working overtime.

And then it happened, she realized that she had been thinking too much and see where it had gotten to so she decided to relax and let her brain and her hands do their thing. She found that everytime he attacked, he expected her to do same and she did leaving him with an opportunity to strike so instead, she let him keep striking without striking back but the guys only saw this differently
