Chapter 86: How can you..

" Alyssa...." Gladys stammered looking up at her daughter. She was really shocked. She had been caught red handed.

" Mom , What are you doing ? " Alyssa asked becoming impatient.

" I...I..." Gladys was speechless. The other woman seeing the situation got up. " Gladys , Why don't you tell your daughter everything ? " The woman said.

" What are you talking about ? " Gladys asked.

" Mom , Are you hiding anything from me ? " Gladys asked.

" Of course not. " Gladys lied .

" Gladys , It's better you tell her your problems. Never know she will help. " The woman said and then looked at Alyssa

" Your Mom has a debt. " The woman declared.

" A debt ? " Alyssa asked .Gladys was now in trouble.

" Yes , She has been buying expensive bags and clothes to fit the standards of her other friends she got after being recognized as Mr . Wong's mother in.law. She needs to pay. So we decided to play hoping that she would win something. She has been gambling for some good time. " The woman said.

" Alyssa , Don't believe her. Ritah , Let me talk to my daughter. " Gladys said.

The woman smirked and left without another word

" Alyssa...let me explain. " Gladys said looking back at Alyssa.

" Explain what ? That you are gambling again ?And you have debts , After all I have passed through to pay Mr. Wong's debt ? " She asked.

" No... it's not like that. " Gladys cried out.

" You are fooling me again. Right ? " Alyssa asked.

" No..not really. " Gladys said

" Enough of this Mom ! "

Alyssa shouted with a sharp cry. She wanted to tell Gladys her problems but now there was no way. She just decided to go back to her room and closed herself inside. She started crying bitterly.

Gladys also released tears realising her mistake. She slowly walked to Alyssa's room and opened the door and entered. Alyssa was lying on her bed in tears.

Gladys stood before her. Her eyes had turned red too.

" Dear , I am sorry. " She said.

" Mom , Leave me alone ! " Alyssa gasped still crying.

" Dear , " Gladys called solemnly and went to sit on Alyssa's bed.

" When you got married to David , I was so happy. " Gladys murmured. She could hear Alyssa in her sniffs.

Alyssa didn't say a word but continued crying.

" I became famous over being a mother in.law to such a tycon and many women from different families came to be asking for friendship. But they were on a higher standards than me. So , I tried my best , To fit in their category by buying new nice bags , Clothes , Shoes , Make up and whatever. And I didn't want to use the shop's money again. I swear I didn't mean to gamble again. I just did this to look like an expensive woman too. " Gladys cried out.

" But Mom , If it's money you wanted , You would have asked me ! " Alyssa condemned still under her blanket.

" Aly , I couldn't. You are no longer working ! " Gladys said.

" Mom , I saved enough money for us. And besides that you don't need to look like these women , Afterlol the marriage is just contract. " Alyssa said.

" Dear , You don't get it. You still David's wife my law. " Gladys said. " There's no way you tell or prove people that it's fake marriage. " Gladys said.

As she said these Alyssa's mind went back to the night she spend with Calcel. Her tears increased on that ,She now remembered that she had committed adultery , Moreover with her son.

" Mom , Please leave me alone ! " She begged. Gladys didn't understand but she decided to let go and left her.

Later that evening Alyssa woke up again. She had been in bed for almost the whole day. She walked to the sitting room to find Gladys no where. She sat down and started thinking about the night again. How was she going to face David again.

" I have to go ! " The strong woman in her said.

She went had a shower and changed clothes to go to the mansion.
