Chapter 30: I deserved the punishment.

Alyssa's office...

After looking through most of the documents about the company , Alyssa leaned back on her chair thinking of what to do next. Though she had been given the office , She wasn't sure of what she was really going to do. The new costmetics project had been handed over to her , How was she going to run it yet she really knew nothing about this ,?

Something came into her mind and she decided to leave the office. Good thing she had been asked to request May anything she needs so there she went to May's office.

" Come in ! " May said hearing the knock on her.

" Mrs Wong ? " She called realising that it was Alyssa.

" Good afternoon.." Alyssa greeted.

" Good afternoon Ma'am. Sit down please ! "

Alyssa sat down and looked around the office .

" How may I help you ? " May asked.

" Am...Can I find any costmetics books in the company ? "

" Yes , We have many. " May said.

" Oh that's good. You know I am new in the thing so I want to get some knowledge about it. "

" I see that ma'am. " May said getting up from her seat to the shelf.

She got three books from it and put them on the desk.

" These are the best books for beginners. " May said with a smile.

" Sure , Hope they will be easy for me for read. I will go ! " Alyssa said and left May's office.

Alyssa read through the books till evening. She checked on her phone to find that it was already 5pm. David hadn't returned , ' Did he go somewhere very far ? ' She asked herself before getting up from the seat.

Walking out of the office , Alyssa headed down stairs. Most of the workers were quiting so she also ought to leave.

She stood by the road side to get a cub when she heard a voice asking from behind.

" What do you think you are doing here ? "

Hearing the voice , Alyssa turned around to look at who it were . It was Calcel again.

" Calcel.." She called .

Calcel didn't say anything but grabbed her hand and dragged her out of the place to his car which he opened forcing her to get inside. He closed door and walked to the other side where he got inside onto the driver's seat.

Alyssa was confused that she put a perplexed face.

Calcel put on his seat belt and was about to start the car when Alyssa Asked.

" What's wrong ? Why did you bring me into your car ? " Alyssa asked worriedly.

Calcel gave her a nasty look and said. " Don't ever repeat the mistake you just made ! "

" Mistake ? What did I do wrong ? " Aly was confused.

" It's a big shame for the president's wife to board a taxi . Do you get that ? " Calcel questioned.

" That's because I didn't come with my car and Mr Wong didn't come back to pick me. " She argued.

" That's not an excuse. We have many cars at home so you would have sent for any. " Calcel said and then started the car.

Alyssa didn't say anything more but looked at him while he started the car.

Wong's Mansion...

Calcel parked the car in the parking lot . Alyssa got out and went inside the house .

" Welcome back Madam Alyssa . " Jenny said.

" Thanks ..." Alyssa smiled and headed to her room.

" Did father come yet ? " Calcel asked when he was also inside.

" He gave me a call saying that he might not make it home today. " Jenny said.

" What happened ? "

" Am really not sure but I just hope that everything will be okay. You know he has very many roles since he finally became the Mayor "

" I get it. " Calcel said and bowed before Jenny before proceeding to his room.

After having her shower , Alyssa got dressed and went to the living room . She got out her phone and logged into her Instagram . The movie was really trending and she was glad about this. Jenny who was helping the maids organize the dinning table passed by Alyssa and noticed her big smile. She decided to walk to her and asked what was going on.

" Alyssa ? " She called bringing Alyssa out of her daze.

" Ah..." She muttered.

" It has been long ever since I saw you smile. Do you mind telling me the source of your smile ? " Jenny asked as she sat Besides Alyssa.

" Its my new movie . " Alyssa said smiling.

" Really ? "

" Look , It has been released just two weeks ago and now it has 20M views." Alyssa said giving Jenny the phone.

" This is wow ! Sometimes I don't believe that it's really you Alyssa that got married into this house. " Jenny attered out making Alyssa's smile fade

" Did I say something wrong ? " Jenny asked noticing that.

" Not really. Somethings but have gone wrong but I don't regret getting married to Mr Wong. " Alyssa said with a gasp.

" Really ? Doesn't it give you hard time most especially that Mr Wong stopped you from acting ? " Jenny asked .

" I did a mistake so I deserved the punishment. " Alyssa muttered and looked at Jenny. " Good enough he gave me a new job so I will be fine with that. " She added.

Jenny cupped Alyssa's cheek and with a smile. " Am glad that you are able to understand Mr Wong. "

They were like this when a maid came.

" Madam Alyssa , Dinner is ready ! " She informed them.

" Please go have dinner , I will go inform Calcel. " Jenny said and left to Calcel's room.

The next day , Alyssa used her car to drive to the company. She spent most of her time reading through the books and if there was any work assigned for her to do she made sure that she did it to her best. She was in her office when someone knocked.

" Enter ! " She said when May got inside.

" Secretary May , What brings you here ? " She asked.

" I have good news for you. " May said with a smile.

" Really , What news could it be ? " She asked.

" The President has informed us to organize a welcome party for you. " May said.

" Welcome party for me ? " Alyssa was confused and surprised.
