Chapter 39

Emily' s P.O.V

" He lied Leon. He lied. He made it all up. It was all apart of his little plan. He made me believe for 16 years that he was dead. He missed out on everything. And the sad part about it is that he feels satisfied with what he did. He has absolutely no remorse.", I said making up my mind that i was not going to let this ruin my mood. But i couldn' t help it. I felt totally sad on the inside."  What am i going to do Leon?", i asked laying back on the bed and closing my eyes. I took a deep breath in and then out. " I think you should get some rest Em", he said turning around and looking at me. I looked at him. Is he serious right now?. I can' t go to sleep. " I' m serious, maybe it will help you forget all this. Trust me. Sleep is the best medicine", he suggested with a smile. I rose my eyebrows at him. " I do and if i were you i would probably be at a bar or something drinking. I would feel aweful and confused.", he said grabbing my blanket. " That' s exactly how i feel and some ice- cream will help",i said smiling at Leon. He chuckled spreading the blanket over my body and tucking me in. " What is it with girls and ice- cream?", he murmured walking out confused. I smiled. Thank God for a friend like Leon in this time. My phone rang. I glanced at the identification name. Cabello. Ugh... I paid no attention to it.      

How dare he. He of all persons should know me. I hate Liars. It rang again and i hung up the phone. Leon walked in smiling with my pistachio ice- cream in his hand. My my. Pistachio... He sat at the side of the bed now handing me the ice- cream. " Soooo, just coming to think about it, you said there were many secrets i didn' t know. What else is new?.", he asked. I swallowed hard before taking the cup of ice- cream from him. " I ummm. I' ll tell you about it some other time. I' m tired now...........I said eating most of the ice- cream and lying down now. " ok", he replied satisfied. I smiled. " Life is full of so many surprises", Leon said looking at me. " What do you mean by that?", i asked curiously and sitting up a little. "I'm just thinking about what you just told me Em. You must have been shocked when you saw your dad infront of you. Like a ghost, he was just there.", Leon mentioned. " Yeah, like a ghost. Totally out of the bloom and unexpected",i said. " And where exactly did you see him. You didn' t mention that", he said.I didn' t answer him. He looked around at me and by this time i pretended to be asleep. " Em?", he asked laughing. " hmmmm", i asked annoyingly. " I know you heard me.", he said. I found something to say as quickly as possible. " Can we speak about this tommorrow pleaseee?", i asked. I waited for him to answer. I felt when he kissed me on my cheek. " Good night Em",he whispered. A smile crept up on my face. Thank God.
