Chapter1-: The virus attack

" It's an emergency... I repeat it's an emergency all the department officers please gather at the meeting room.... I repeat all the department officers please gather at the meeting room" the speaker were bursting all around the office. I wondered that it was only 10 am in the morning what might have happened this early which called for such an emergency nevertheless I stood up and ran to the meeting room.

After reaching the room I found all the department officers talking to eachother and looked confused.

Before I tell further let me give a quick introduction of myself. Hey I am Ariana, not Ariana Grande but Ariana Hill, I am 24 and currently the second department chief officer of the Cyber Security Association (CSA). After graduation I started working for th CSA and also continued with my studies and slowly became the chief officer, my hobbies including simping over fictional men, reading spicy romance novels and making coffee. Netflix and chill is my love language.

Now back to the story, our head chief entered the room, everyone stood up to greet him and he motioned everyone to take their seats. The chief started speaking" Good morning officers, firstly I am very sorry that you had to leave all your works and join this emergency meeting and secondly this meeting is indeed important, as you all are aware that there are certain shareholders and other investors of CSA who help us with the company" He paused as all looked at him with curiosity. "Knight and co. suffered a serious cyber attack at their head quarters in Los Angeles this morning, but luckily they have backups to hold up for a few days, hence we need to work fast. I am asking all of you to do your best and prepare the proposals how to rescue their data and systems within tommorow 10a.m." he stopped as Bill the third department chief questioned "Sir, what kind of virus attacked them? Can we get some details"

Chief's assistant Marie quickly responded " We could not indentify the virus, but it has entered the system through common wi-fi networks, the speed of data transfer is rather slow and the data cannot be accessed until fully transferred. This was all that we could gather "

All remained silent so the chief spoke again "I am expecting to recieve good responses. Do you have any more questions?" No one raised a question so the chief stated " Well then, please submit your proposals on time. Miss Marie will give you a file each, stating the details and nature of the virus. You all are dismissed"

All the ten department officers came out of the meeting room and proceeded towards their respective departments. I was walking too when someone grabbed my shoulders, I turned to see Bella, Isabella Carter the fourth department officer and my best work-friend smiling cheerfully at me, I was so focused at the meeting room that I failed to notice her there. Bella said," Hey Ari, ready to kill a virus" I smiled at her energy and wondered what coffee she takes every day to stay this cheerful, I replied "Not really, I mean it's really very short time to make a new virus to destroy that one." Bella replied " Oh come on, it will only take an hour for you to develop the virus. I know your potential" I smiled at her and asked her" What about you? What did you plan?" She twisted her face which made her look funny and replied " I am not interested in traveling all the was to Los Angeles just to repair a software especially because BTS will soon perform at our city and I am not going to miss it. I'll come up with an excuse to escape the chief" and she grinned this made me laugh, Bella was a die hard BTS Army she was crazy for those boys and I knew she was never going to miss their concert.

"Miss Hill, can you please come to the department for a quick check" someone called. I hugged Bella and bid her a quick goodbye before walking to my department.

The rest of the day was pretty much ordinary I was assigned to make the proposal and all the officers were trying their best to make a good proposal except Bella who was busy making up an excuse. I came up with a software which would enter the system of the hacker along with the other data and when the whole transfer was complete the virus would destroy all the data and clean the system... It took me nine full hours to complete the proposal, the clock struck one and I was still at the office, probably alone so I quickly took the elevator and got out of my office and drove myself home.

Today my apartment looked decent, because I cleaned it up last weekend. I quickly got in my room, striped off my clothes and ran to shower. The warm water calmed me and removed all the sweat off my body. After almost half an hour, I moved out of the shower and dropped dead on my bed. I was just too tired to make dinner and decided against it, and anyways I was not hungry at all or that was what I told myself. I switched off the lights in my room and slowly drifted off to sleep.
