Chapter Seven

Felicity's POV

I leave the living room blushing like crazy. Why I decided to kiss his cheek in front of Ace and his DAD, is beyond me. I definitely feel like I'm about to throw up, and I probably would have if I wasn't worried about one of my best friends. I continue to the basement door and the proceed down the stairs. I don't know about you, but I hate basements. And attics. Creepy stuff always happens in those two places. I try to stay away from them, but Ace has a cool basement. It is set up as a movie room with a big tv and reclining seats. There is a many snack bar with all kinds of different snacks you could want. There is also a popcorn machine, which is my personal favorite I LOVE popcorn, with movie theater butter and different kind of salts and flavors to add to its amazingness. This is probably my favorite room in the house I just wish it wasn't the basement.

I walk to the back of the room where Aiden's fridge is, and find Aiden sitting on the floor with already two empty blood packages on the ground with him working on the third. Now, you probably think I'm crazy walking down here with a hungry vampire, but I am absolutely positive that Aiden will not hurt because this has happened before. He smells human blood pretty much all day every day, but when he gets really hungry, he knows to get blood. He normally doesn't ever get this hungry, which is why I know something is wrong. So, I slide down to the floor beside him and let him finish the third thing of blood before I interrogate him.

"What's wrong? Why did it take you this long to feed?"

"We are running out of supply at my house and I have to make sure my family feeds first. You know how they are. They don't have the discipline I do." He states.

"How are y'all running out of supply? Y'all you hunt and fix the pouches every week to ensure you don't run out." I'm starting to get really worried when he doesn't meet my eyes or answers right away.

"Aiden, you know you can tell me anything. Ace and I will always be here for you. If you need help, all you have to do is ask."

"I know that, but I thought I could take care of it myself." He answered.

"Take care of what?" I ask.

"There is this group of hunters out in the woods. Vampire hunters. We can barely get anywhere near the woods before we see one. I have tried slipping in and out by myself, but I can't even go a hundred feet before I see at least one hunter. If I wasn't as fast as I was, I would have been caught by now."

I was still and silent for all of point two seconds before I punched him in the arm.

"You idiot. You should have told us. We, and when I say we you know I'm talking about Ace since I'm human and all, can go in the woods and get you the animals. You didn't have to starve. On top of this fridge is always here for you, you should have fed yesterday."

"Ow. Way to hit a man while he is down. And, I know, I'm sorry, okay. Are you still mad at me?"

"No, doofus, but next time put your pride aside and ask for help. Now we better head up.

Ace's parents are probably already here." I say and stand up and grab his arm. He is always weak after feeding for the first time in days. "We will talk to Ace later about the hunters, okay?"

"Okay."

With that I assist him in making it up the stairs and into the living room where everyone else is, including Ace's parents. I get him to the couch and grab him a throw blanket to cover himself with. As I go to return to my seat beside Grey, I give Ace a look that says we need to talk later and he nods, letting me know he understands.

"Aiden, Sweetie, are you okay?" Ace's mom asked from the other couch where she sat with Ace's dad.

"Yes ma'am. Just tired" I gave him a pointed look but didn't say anything. Ace's parents didn't look like they believed him either, but no one pressed the matter further.

"Felicity, when were you going to tell us that you have a mate and that he is the future Alpha?" Ace's dad asked. How, to this day, this man still intimidates me is insane.

"Well, sir, it just kind of happened. And, of course I was going to tell you, but I haven't seen y'all since I found out." I ramble while looking at the floor and blushing.

"Dear, he is just messing with you. Right, Hun?" Ace's mom says with a small laugh and an elbow to her husband who just laughs.

"Right. And how many times have I told you about calling me sir."

"I know but I feel like its disrespectful."

"Well you are family, so I assure you it is not, in any case, disrespectful."

"So, Andrew, why don't you feel in our new arrivals on what has been going on so that everyone is up to speed." Grey's dad says.

I just sit back and listen as Grey retells the story again. When he finishes Ace's, parents are sitting up on the couch. They ask me the same question as Grey's dad, and I give them the same answer. Ace's parents look at each other and have a silent conversation and the look to Grey's dad. I suddenly feel very uncomfortable. Is there something wrong with us? I start to freak out with all of the quietness. I really wish someone would say something. Anything is better than my imagination.

I look down when I feel someone clutch my hand. Grey has a hold of my hand. He feels what I feel. This is really going to take some getting used to. I am starting to get overwhelmed.

"Someone say something. Felicity is about to explode with anxiety." Grey informs them.

"When I was a boy, my mom used to tell me a story to go to sleep. I thought it was only a story and that it was just told for children to fall asleep and have good dreams. It was about a special type of mates. These types of mates were called true mates. They had a different kind of bond. It was stronger, more extraordinary. Now, I'm not saying regular mates aren't special, they are, but true mates were like a different breed." Grey's dad says.

"My parents told me the same story. True mates can't survive without the other. The story said that if they were to never meet or to live apart from each other they both would die in agony. It was told that they can feel each other's emotions even more so than regular mates, they get inklings. They can also mind-link without completely the mating process, but it is very weak. Once the mating process is done, everything is multiplied by tenfold." This was Ace's dad.

"Is that what you think we are? True mates?" Grey asks. He hasn't let go of my hand, and I don't want him to. His is my anchor right now.

"I believe it is a possibility," his dad answers. "I need to do more digging. I also want y'all to keep both us all informed over any new developments between you two, so we can figure it out."

"Yes sir." Grey answers.

"I think you should consider seeing a seer?" This came from Mrs. Claire.

"A seer?" I ask.

"A witch who sees the future. She is kind of like an oracle in those Greek mythologies that you read so much. But back to the conversation beforehand, I would at consider it as an option, even if it is not right now but in the future." She says.

"I would wait. Only because it's only been a day." Mr. Smith says.

"The closes seer is not even close. I don't think it would be safe for Felicity to go on the journey. If she was a wolf, then maybe but it would still be dangerous either way." Mr. Michaelson inputs.

All of a sudden, I went through many different emotions from curious, to worried, to angry. Not just any type of angry either. I was livid. But all of that was Grey, I could tell, because I was FREAKING out. We really have to get a handle on all of this sooner rather than later. This makes me feel sick. Like nauseated to the max.

All of a sudden, Grey takes off into the kitchen. Within a few seconds he comes back with the garbage can, ginger ale, and a rag. He sits back beside me and puts the rag on my head.

Everyone in the room is watching Grey with curiosity while I just lean into him and allow him to hold me up. I sip some of the ginger ale, it takes everything in me to not throw up from all of this. I feel like my brain is about to explode. This is all so overwhelming.

"While even though I believed you one hundred percent, that was definitely physical proof." Mr. Michaelson said.

"Felicity are you okay?" Ace asked.

"Dad, we need to get this under control, this is making her sick. She is nauseous just from both of our feelings colliding inside her at once. I'm used to it from my wolf and the pack bond, but this is all new for her." Grey seems really stressed, and if he wasn't holding the ginger ale, the rag, and all of my body weight into his side I would hold his hand to calm him down.

"We will try to come up with a plan for a permanent solution, but I would suggest trying to block your emotions from her Son. Maybe if you can control your side of things, it won't go all crashing her at once." Mr. Michaelson says.

"Felicity we can also try maybe some yoga or mind exercises for you to help center yourself." Mrs. Claire suggests.

I weakly reply, "I'll try anything, thank you."

After that we all sit around and digest what was said. Well, everyone else is, I'm assuming, I'm still trying not to throw up. I can still feel Grey's anger at the situation, but also his worry for me. I can tell he is trying to reign it all in, but he is feeling those so much that I can still feel them too.

"Would everyone like to stay for dinner?" Mrs. Claire asks as she gets up.

"Yeah, we can still think over this, but let's not do it with empty stomachs." Mr. Smith adds.

"I wouldn't want us to be any trouble. That's a lot of food." Mr. Michaelson says.

"It's no trouble at all. We would love to have you. Felicity I'll make you some soup to help ease your stomach." Mrs. Claire. "In the meantime, call your dad so he doesn't worry. You can invite him over if you want."

I blush when she mentions inviting my dad. While I know all about the supernatural world, he does not. So, him meeting Grey, he won't understand the connection we have from only two days, but he does still need to meet him. On top of all of the food they will put away. I have shared many a meals with them, but not my dad.

"Yes ma'am. Thank you," I answer her. I then turn to Grey, "do you want me to invite my dad or do you want to wait to meet him?"

"It is up to you. I want to meet your dad, but only on your terms," Grey answered, while caressing my cheek. The rag has long been forgotten on the couch beside him.

I nod my head and get up to call my dad. He answers on the third ring.

"Felicity, where are you? Are you okay?" He immediately asks.

"Hey Dad, I'm alright. I'm at Ace's. I was actually calling to see if you want to join us for dinner. Mrs. Claire is cooking." I answer.

"Yeah. I don't have any plans, so that sounds great. I'll be over in just a short while."

"Okay. And Dad?"

"Yes Sweetie?"

"Someone is here that I want you to meet, just promise to have an open mind. Okay?"

"Who?"

"Just someone that is important to me."

"Okay. I'll be there soon. Love you."

"I love you too." I say and end the call.

I walk into the kitchen where Mrs. Claire is cooking.

"My dad said he would be here soon. Thank you for inviting him."

"You both are always welcome here, you know that. But you're welcome just the same." She says.

I walk into the living room to inform my boyfriend that he is going to meet my father soon. I hope everything goes swimmingly. I don't think I could take anything else at this point.
