Chapter Six

Andrew's POV

After school while we are walking back towards Ace's house, I grab Felicity's hand. She looks at our entwined hands and then to me with a soft smile on her face. Ever since I told her I wanted her to meet my dad and then her realizing that she really didn't have any friends outside Ace or Aiden, she has seemed a little down. I haven't even seen her pick up her book since I finally got her to notice me at lunch.

"What's wrong?" I finally ask.

"May I ask you a question and you be completely honest with the answer?" She asks in return.

"Of course." I say.

"If your dad doesn't like me, do we have to break-up? Or worse, would you reject me?" She asks, worriedly.

"First off, no one in the world could make me reject you. Second off, even though I know that my dad is going to love you because as soon as I told him that I found my mate he has wanted to meet you, I will say this again no one in the world could make me break-up or reject you. Okay?"

"Okay." She sighs, relieved. "Your dad really wants to meet me?"

"Yes, he called me last night while we were at Ace's while you were asleep. He was worried because he didn't know where I was. I told him I was at Ace's and that I had found my mate. He then got all excited and told me to bring you over to meet him. I explained that you were human, and I would have to wait on your terms before I forced him and the pack on you. But now we need answers about our bond, so I'm sorry if I am forcing this on you."

"You aren't forcing it perse, but will I have to meet the whole pack today or just your dad?"

"Just my dad. You can meet the pack later."

"Okay. Then I am fine. You're not forcing anything."

We just got Ace's house and are about to walk in when I feel Felicity stop. I look at her to see she is staring at something in the driveway.

"You parked your car at Ace's just so you could walk with me to and from school?" She asks with a weird look on her face.

"Well yeah. I offered to drive you and you said you walk with Ace and Aiden. I just wanted to spend more time with you. So, after I jumped out of your window last night, I came back here to get my car. I knocked on the door to ask if it was okay if I start parking my car here and walking with y'all to school." I say rather nonchalantly.

She stares at me, intently, for a minute, and then without a word she hugs me.

"Thank you. That is really sweet of you, but you don't have to walk with us if you want to drive." She says.

"As said, I want to spend time with you, even if it means leaving my very much drivable car here and walk with you to school." I say, with a flirty smile. "I also know that you would have said yes to letting me drive you, but you don't want to hurt Ace and Aiden's feelings."

"How do you know me so well when we have only known each other for a day?"

"You're my mate. Plus, I pay attention. It is the same with Sebastian. You don't like him the way he likes you, but you don't want to hurt his feelings either. And it bothered you when Ace said that you didn't let him down easy, right?"

"Yeah. I don't want to send mixed signals, but I didn't mean to hurt his feelings this morning. I honestly thought we were just friends."

"I understand that. And I'm glad you're just friends, if I do say so myself."

"Ha ha. So, what time are we meeting your dad?"

"Well, I need to call him. I was going to see if he could meet us here since it is a comfortable place for you, and we could avoid the pack until you're ready to meet everyone. Also, this way, if needed, you will have Ace and Aiden. Is that okay?"

"Yeah, but did you ask Ace if we could use his house?"

"No. Let's get inside so I can ask him and then I will call my dad."

I grab her hand again and let her lead me inside. I knew she would know where the boys, where it would take me checking every room or calling out for them.

"Hey Ace, do you mind if I invite my dad over to meet Felicity? We need some questions answered and I know she would feel more comfortable here with you guys then going to the pack house. Plus, she doesn't want to meet the whole pack yet" Andrew explains.

Ace looks at Felicity and they seem to have a whole conversation without saying a word to each other.

"Sure man, but what kind of questions?" Ace asks.

"Mate bond questions. I have never heard or seen anyone's being like ours when we have only known each other for a day, especially with Felicity being human" Andrew says. "Thanks. I got to call my dad."

As I go to drop Felicity's hand, she squeezes his hand to gets his attention.

"Are you hungry? I can fix you a snack while you're on the phone." She says.

"Sure. That would be great. Just fix me whatever you fix yourself." I say and walk out of the room to call my dad.

"Dad? Hey, what are you doing?" I ask once my dad answers.

"Hey son, nothing but some paperwork for pack business. Why? What's up?"

"Can you come to Ace Thornsby's house and meet Felicity? She doesn't want to meet the whole pack yet and we were gonna wait for her to meet you, but we have questions that we hope you have answers to" I rush out in one breath.

"Sure son, I'll be right there."

I walk back to the kitchen to see only my mate left in the kitchen and walk around to wrap my arms around Felicity from behind. She is making two sandwiches with peanut butter and white stuff on it.

"What's the white stuff?" I ask.

Startled she jumps and then says, "Marshmallow fluff. This is the only kind of sandwich I will eat besides a plain peanut butter or a peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich. The only way I can eat a plain peanut butter sandwich is with pickle chips" she rambles. "It's called a fluffernutter. My grandmother introduced me to this amazing and sensational sandwich when I was a little girl."

"Well, I can't wait to try it." I reply, glad to see her happier than she was earlier.

"What did your dad say?"

"That he 'will be right there'."

We sit at the island and eat our sandwiches and let me just tell you this is the best sandwich I have ever ate in my entire eighteen years of life.

"This is amazing. I don't think I can eat any other sandwich than this now." I inhale the rest of my sandwich after that.

Felicity giggles and continues to eat hers like a normal person.

By the time we were both done with our sandwiches, there was a knock at the door. I got that panic-y feeling again in my stomach.

"Hey, look me, right at me, nothing or no one can ever make me break up or reject you okay?" I say.

She nods and smiles. She takes a deep breath and grabs my hand.

"Okay. I'm ready." She says with a determined look on her face.

We walk hand and hand to the door where we see my dad, Ace, and Aiden talking.

"Hey, Dad," I say and drop Felicity's hand to give him a hug.

"Hey, Son, and this must be Felicity. You were kidding about her being beautiful." Dad says and brings Felicity into a hug.

Felicity has a look of surprise on her face and starts to blush at the compliment, but very slowly hugs my dad back.

As she steps back, she says, "Hi, it's nice to meet you, Grey has told me wonderful things about you."

When Felicity uses the name 'Grey' my dad looks with a raised eyebrow but doesn't say anything.

"We can all go into the living room if you want so that its more comfortable," Ace says.

"And we can disappear if you need us to Felicity," Aiden says.

"If it's okay, I would like y'all to stay." She answers hesitantly.

"Of course, it's okay," I say and grab and squeeze her hand.

We all walk into the living room and get comfortable on the couches. Ace, Aiden, and Dad are on the long sofa and Felicity and I take the love seat.

"So, what kind of questions do you have son?" Dad asks.

"Well, it'd be easier to explain everything that has happened so far before I ask any questions. So, after we met yesterday, we could feel each other's emotions. For example, I felt panic-y at lunch and Felicity felt it, too. And it like ten-fold compared to everyone else and we haven't even completed the mate bond yet." I say all of this rather quickly.

"I see." My dad looks at Felicity. "You feel his emotions, too?"

"Yes sir. As if I was the one feeling them myself. I was just sitting there reading a book and then all of a sudden I felt like I was freaking out but I had nothing to freak out over, I didn't understand why I felt the way I did until I saw Grey beside me looking freaked out." She answers. "I've never experienced anything like it."

"Uh-huh," Dad says looking deep in thought. "I wonder, Ace when do your parents get home?"

"Not until later. I can mind-link them if you want, but what's going on?" Ace asks worriedly.

"I have a theory, but I would like to talk to your parents first to ask their opinion, is that okay with you Felicity?" He looks at her when he asks the last part.

"Yes sir, that's fine with me. His parents treat as if I'm their own, so I was going to talk to them about all of this eventually anyways, might as well now." She says.

"Okay, well they are on their way. Should be here shortly," Ace says.

We all just sit around waiting for Ace's parents to get home. When out of the blue Aiden shoots up.

"I have to go downstairs! Be right back," and with that he shot off out of the room.

Felicity and Ace shared a look, you know the one where they had a whole conversation without saying a word, yeah, I hate those looks. I feel left out.

"What?" I ask.

"He's hungry. We keep a fridge full of animal blood downstairs in the basement just for Aiden. We all hang out here a lot, so this was the easiest option for him. On top of I'd rather it be downstairs than up here where I would see it every time I open the fridge." Ace replies.

"I'm going to go check on him." Felicity says and stands up to leave, but I grab her hand really quick.

"Is it safe for you? Being human?" I ask.

"First off, Aiden would never hurt me. Second off, we have found out it is easier for me to go because and I quote Ace's words 'that smell is horrendous' to werewolves." She must see the apprehensiveness in my eyes because she squeezes my hand and presses a kiss to my cheek, "I promise it is safe and if not I have a boyfriend who is a werewolf that could come save me, even though I know he won't hurt me."

After that she walks off and I'm sitting there not only blushing and speechless, but I am blushing and speechless in front of my girlfriend's best friend but also my DAD. Embarrassing, I know, but I can't bring myself to care. She KISSED me, yeah it was on the cheek, but she initiated it.

"You have it so bad already, I can't wait to see how much worse you can get." Ace says laughing.

"You my son are completely whipped," This is from my laughing father.

"I know and I love it!" Was my only reply.
