Shigure

[ January 16, Year 772 ]

I have been in this godforsaken place for 3 days, all I have been doing so far was running away every second and minute.

This forest is full of monsters' nests which consist of Lizardmen, Wyverns, Weretiger, Vulcan and a lot more that I couldn't even remember.

I have never read nor heard of any forest that could have so many monsters exist in one place but it doesn't matter anymore since the only thing I can focus on is to survive.

Growl~

"Goddammit... again really?"

I cursed, every time I try to even take a rest a monster would show up to annoy me.

"Water Breathing... Second form: Water Wheel!"

I muttered while I dashed and leaped as I vertically spun forward in the air towards it while releasing a flowing attack in a circular motion.

Swish~

"Hah~ I need to find another place to rest again"

I sighed dejectedly knowing the blood would attract other monsters, therefore starting another round of hordes that would come after me.

Well, Mabel wasn't lying about my instinct being trained since staying in this godforsaken place has actually slightly improved my instinct

After a while, I managed to find a small cave where I could rest for a while. I started to gather leaves and moss to cover up the entrance since I don't want any unwanted visitors to accidentally walk inside.

"Finally... I could have a proper sleep again"

I commented as I laid down on a makeshift bed, looking at the dark ceiling as I slowly starts to fall asleep.

...

Crack~

Kazemi twitched his eyelids when he heard a slight cracking sound as he opened his eyes and woke up from his sleep.

"That was the best sleep I've ever had since coming from this place"

Kazemi yawned and commented with a smile and stood up as he stretched his body while thinking of making this place his temporary base.

Crack~

"Hmm?"

He turned his head back and saw a tiny crack with light passing through it as he walked towards it, with the blade he had, he used the scabbard to crack it open as the wall crumbled up.

With the crack opening up, the hole was now big enough to fit a person as he walked inside due to curiosity while still having a cautious look.

As he was about to walk out at the end of the hole, a light shined on his eyes and momentarily flinched as he opened his eyes after a while.

Kazemi saw a wide underground lake with a small island in the middle of it as the sunlight shine down through the hole in the ceiling, he halted and was in awe at the beautiful sight of the view.

Growl~

He was thinking about whether to swim to the island or not when a growl of a beast was heard through the hole he came out and immediately jumped in as he started swimming towards it.

Hah~ Hah~

Kazemi emerged out of the water after a while and arrived at the small island, he started to look around for a place to hide temporarily.

When he did, he saw a skeleton in a samurai outfit leaning on a tree with a sheathed katana on his chest.

"This is..."

Kazemi bent down with him already forgetting about the danger behind him as he gently took the katana and unsheathed it.

Whistle~

He whistled as he saw the blade knowing that it was a masterpiece just by feeling the surface of the blade itself, there he saw a name written at the bottom of the handle.

"Shigure... this must be the name of the blade"

( N/A: the blade description and whatnot as well as Mc future equipment is in the auxiliary volume )

Kazemi whispered, after a minute of studying it, a loud flapping sound was heard as a single Cave Wyvern was rushing towards him.

"Tch... I didn't want to do this due to my young body but... screw it"

Kazemi stated, he then went on to position himself as he muttered something while facing the Cave Wyvern.

"Sword Magic: Water Style..."

"Second Form: Improved, Lateral Water Wheel!"

( N/A: this magic is just the same as the water breathing technique except that its power is amplified by magic so it's much more powerful, I just didn't change the name of the forms cause I was lazy )

Kazemi leaps and horizontally spins forward in the air while releasing a flowing attack in a circular motion.

Swish~ Slash~

The blade cut off the Wyvern's head cleanly as the body fell on the island which created a small crater.

"It's a really nice blade" Kazemi commented in delight.

He landed smoothly and sheathed the blade as he looked at it in approval while he glanced at the skeleton and thought for a minute.

Kazemi wandered into an empty area and created a hole enough for a person to fit into, he walked towards the skeleton and carried it before gently laying it down the hole.

He covered it back with dirt and grabbed a few stones as he laid down where he made the hole as he stared at it for a few minutes and bowed in respect.

"I'll make sure to take care of your blade... I hope you'll be able to rest in peace"

Kazemi said, after finishing the ceremony, he walked towards the Wyvern's body and thought if it could be eaten since for the past three days all he has eaten was the rejuvenating pills.

"Ah... screw it!"

He said while dragging it towards a fire he made earlier with a drool trickling down his mouth at the prospect of eating meat.
