Beast

A few moments later

They have been walking for quite a while now, he had realized that this part of the forest that they were walking to is unfamiliar to him.

He couldn't say that he knew this forest like the back of his hand but he at least know some areas that could be considered dangerous.

"Say... where are we going?"

Kazemi asked, he had been suppressing his curiosity and doubt for a while now. He understands Mabel enough to know that she wouldn't aimlessly walk here for no reason.

Mabel only glanced at him before forming a smile on her face, she suddenly raised her right hand and muttered a spell that was unrecognizable to him.

"Aqua Aera..."

The surrounding waters started to float up as they started whirling which created a portal in front of them that leads to an unknown place.

"Mabel-san, what exactly are we doing here?"

Kazemi couldn't help but ask with doubt and suspicion, he didn't understand what Mabel's plan is.

"Hmm... it is to train your instinct" Mabel stated.

"...Instinct?" Kazemi asked.

Mabel then went on to explain the importance of instinct while Kazemi couldn't help but remembered that he had already honed his instinct in his last life.

"I don't think I need to train in my instinct anymore..." Kazemi stated.

"Oh? care to tell me the reason for that?" Mabel asked

"I have a feeling that my instinct is already good enough" Kazemi answered.

He couldn't just tell her that he had trained his instinct through an obstacle course created by a certain mask person in his past life.

"I find that hard to believe... well, it doesn't matter anymore since I'll be able to see whether your words are true"

Mabel stated, she walked towards Kazemi until she was in front of him and grabbed his collar with a smile on her face.

"Ummm... what are you doing, Mabel-san?"

Kazemi asked as Mabel just stared at him with a smile, he suddenly thought of something and looked at the portal and realized what she planned to do.

"Wait a mi-"

Mabel didn't let him finish as she shoved him up on the portal and he disappeared to somewhere else as she watch the portal close up.

"Good luck..."

...

Thud~

"Ugh... couldn't she have thrown me more gently"

Kazemi grumbled, he stood up and patted his back as the dirt fell off. He looked around and observed his surroundings to determine where he is at.

Rustle~ Rustle~

He heard a rustle on the nearby bush and turned his head towards it as a humanoid creature walk out.

Growl~

"Oh... a Weretiger, huh?" Kazemi muttered with a surprised look.

He immediately recognized the monster as they would occasionally appear near their hut. If he remembers correctly, they are humanoid feline beasts that specialized in speed and their sharp claws.

The moment the Weretiger saw him, it immediately rushed to him with claws that were ready to slice him apart.

Kazemi saw that and sneered at it, he didn't know whether the Weretiger understood him but it clearly increased its speed.

"So be it then, let me see how fast you really are" Kazemi stated with a confident tone.

The Weretiger was already in front of him when he said that as the beast raised his claws and slash them down at him.

The moment the claws were about to slice at him, he vanish and reappeared behind it as he kicks its buttocks with a mocking smile.

The Weretiger tumbled as it fell to the ground, it turned around at him and roared an infuriated shout.

Roar~

"There's no need to shout at me" Kazemi complained with an annoyed look as he rub his ear to ease the pain.

What he didn't know was that the beast wasn't shouting at him but instead at something else.

Rumble~

As Kazemi was about to kill the Weretiger, he paused and looked behind him as he saw a fog of dust slowly getting close to him.

He squint his eyes to get a better look at it and when he did, his body trembled as he saw a horde of Weretigers and he immediately ran away in a hurry.

'Damn...' Kazemi thought as he cursed inwardly.

Even though he has the head start, the horde of beasts slowly started to catch up as they roared at him in anger.

'Think... think... how can I get away from them?'

Kazemi was thinking of all kinds of plans to escape safely when he saw a deep ravine and he jumped down without any hesitation.

"Water-Make: Azure Eagle" Kazemi muttered as he crossed his hands forward.

A large eagle that is made up of water manifested behind him as it grab his shoulder and glide down slowly until they landed at the bottom of the ravine.

"Whew~ well that was a terrifying experience"

Kazemi commented with a chuckle and now that he was safe at the moment, he started to observe his surroundings with a cautious look.

It was quite dark down here but after a while, his eyes had adapted to the lighting of the environment. He was finally able to see it clearly, he realized that there weren't any abnormalities that could be found as it was just a normal ravine.

"Hah~ I can finally rest..." Kazemi said with a sigh.

He took out a rejuvenating pill and gulped it down as he felt refreshed all over his body. He sat down and leaned on the walls as he wanted to take a nap but was interrupted by a sound.

Growl~

Kazemi turned his head to the right and saw a group of Cave Wyverns. These creatures are almost identical to the Green Wyvern, except for their predominant brown color, rocky talons on their feet and stalagmites running down their backs.

The group of Wyvern looked at him with drool on their mouth as they roared and rushed towards him.

"You have got to be kidding me!"

Kazemi commented with an infuriated look as he started running away again while dodging the occasional attacks of the Wyverns.

"I HATE THIS PLACE!"
