Chapter 110: The Battle of Fairy Tail (7)

~Third POV~

"The battle of Fairy Tail?"

"Laxus did something like that?"

After listening to the sounds and explanation from Makarov he continued to give them the uptake of the situation but with a smug grin on his face, "…But this should end this. Now that you girls are back to normal, I have no intention of playing Laxus's twisted game!"

Mirajane hangs her head low remembering that the other members might have scared the people of today's actions in a sad tone, "But… when I think of the people scared because of Fried's traps…"

Bisca raised her fist clenched into the air as she cried out wanting to give Laxus a piece of her mind in an angry tone, "That's right!!! If we don't teach Laxus a lesson, it'll set a bad precedent!"

Ur agrees with Bisca's claims clenching her fist and wanting to give Laxus a piece of her mind for slamming her fist to the palm of her hand, "Ain't that right sister. I for one don't appreciate being stuck again in a statute state. Once was enough."

Makarov agrees with their claims as he makes an angry expression on his face as he'll be the one to personally punish Laxus, "I know, I know. I'm planning on giving Laxus the strictest punishment afterward. Damn, Laxus!! You may have gotten away with a lot in the past, but not this time!!"

However, surprisingly enough Natsu stops them as he raises his hand as he tries to explain his reasoning trying to convince Makarov to lighten up with his grandson, "Wait one, minute, please! I agree with you guys that he took the wrong path, setting up friends and forcing them to fight against each other. But I can't help but go along with Laxus's goal of figuring out who's the strongest of Fairy Tail. I think you shouldn't get too mad at Laxus… old man!"

Makarov was moved by Natsu's words as he thought to himself in surprise, 'Natsu… I didn't know you were so…'

However, whatever Makarov was about to think about went down the drain immediately as Natsu declared another fight, "I now declare the second battle of Fairy Tail to be underway!!! Let's all fight, everybody!!!!"

"Whaaat?!!!"

"Don't even think it!!!"

"Stop it, Natsu. When you say it, it doesn't sound like a joke."

"If you're set on it, I think you might find somebody to beat you silly. Me, maybe?"

"Cana!! Don't encourage him!!!"

Everyone had their reactions towards Natsu's words but then all of them heard buzzing sounds from the screens of the <Jutsu Shiki> seeing a crossbones and skull with a lightning bolt flashing one of the skull's eyes.

As soon as the screens changed, they all heard Laxus's voice along with a new rule to hear making Makarov react negatively towards the situation, "Can you hear me, old man?!! And all you wimps in the guild too?!! One of the rules stopped making sense, so I thought I'd follow up with a new rule. The Battle of Fairy Tail is going to continue on, and to make sure it does… I started up a dose of Thunder Palace Magic."

Makarov's eyes widen in shock as he voices what he heard as beads of sweat begin to drop on his face, "Did he say Thunder Palace?!"

Laxus continues with his message with Makarov looking worried hearing that Laxus was serious about what he had done, "You have 1 hour and 10 minutes left. Do you think you can beat me? Or do you want to retire now, Master? Hahahaha!!!!"

Anger evident on his face and veins popping out Makarov roars out in clear rage for him crossing the line, "What are you thinking, Laxus?!!!! Do you intend to involve everyone, whether they have a connection to the guild or not?!!!! Ngah!!!!"

*THUD*

Suddenly he took a step down then fell on the floor in pain that his old heart couldn't take the stress any longer. Everyone had a worried expression on their faces seeing his expression as they all cried out in clear worry.

"Old man!!"

"What's wrong?!"

"Urnnn…"

"This is bad!! I have to get his medicine!!"

"At a time like this…"

"Master!! Hang in there!!"

"What's this Thunder Palace?!!"

"Urhhhh…"

"Old man!!!"

Mirajane soon comes over as she warns everyone to come upstairs to see outside, "Oh, no… everyone… look outside!!!!"

Everyone soon appeared outside to see the Thunder Palace as Bisca was explained that the Lightning Lacrima's to destroy Magnolia Town she Requip to her sniper gun shooting it down with Ur releasing her Ice Maker Magic along.

*BANG*

"Aaaaaahh!!!!!"

But suddenly they both got shocked as they soon revealed to the group that Laxus using Organic Link Magic as Cana made her conclusion of what it's made of.

Mavis gazed at Makarov with a worried expression voicing out loud with no one to listen to her using her <Illusion Magic>, "Come on you two... You have to hurry and defeat Laxus or else Makarov might die to the stress... Come Silva what are you doing?"

Mavis looked worried clenching her fist seeing all she could do now is hope Erza and Silva manages to defeat Laxus in time seeing all she could is merely spectate annoying her not able to help.

With that, the remaining members that can move freely except for Levy helping Gajeel and Natsu to get out to assist everyone with the remaining group trying to search for Laxus…

Erza and Silva both moved around Magnolia Town heading towards the Kardina Cathedral when they noticed the Thunder Palace Lacrima in place Erza's eyes widened in shock recognizing the spell in use, "The Thunder Palace!!"

They both stopped as Silva looked confused gesturing for Erza to explain to him in a confused tone, "Something tells me with the way you reacted it's a very bad thing to happen right?"

Taking the moment to explain to Silva about the Thunder Palace Erza explains in a serious tone the situation occurring to them, "Affirmative. The Thunder Palace is a Magic spell in which multiple lacrimas are filled with enormous amounts of Lightning Magic and suspends them high up in the air around the target. When the orbs are released, everything below the circle is struck by powerful lightning bolts. And to make matters worse if the orbs are destroyed by an outside force, the attacker is instantly electrocuted through Organic Link Magic."

Silva flinches at this observing the number of Thunder Lacrimas in the air voicing the concern in his tone of the number surrounding Magnolia Town, "Damn… Judging by the amount present I would say if all the Lacrimas are released at once, this spell should be powerful enough to destroy the entire Magnolia Town."

Understanding the severity of the situation and having an idea in place he talked to Erza surprising her with what he plans to do in a serious tone, "In that case Erza I'll leave it up to you and Mystogan to defeat Laxus. Let me handle the Thunder Palace and hopefully meet up with you both to defeat Laxus. Do you trust me?"

Asking such a question and the seriousness of the situation Erza remained determined and responded already leaving for the Kardina Cathedral entrusting Silva to deal with the Thunder Palace, "Very well. You haven't been wrong or led astray in your planning so I shall trust your judgment to deal with the Thunder Palace. Hopefully enough to come and assist us if you have the energy. I wish you the best of luck, Silva!!"

Rushing off with Silva nodding in understanding he observes the Thunder Palace with many ways to deal with this smirking at such an opportunity presented to him, 'There are many ways to handle this. Destroying them like in canon was certainly one method… but if they are simply Lacrima's containing Lightning Magic only and react when they are destroyed… why not take them instead?'

Flying towards one of the Lightning Lacrima orbs using his <Aerokinesis > to fly towards one when he got close he began to touch it feeling a jolt through him.

*Zzzzz*

The jolt of electricity only lasted a second when he checked his HP lost about 15% of the damage but also gained a new skill because of the jolt while storing the orb into his <Requip > for keeping, "Yeowch!! That stings like a bitch…! But worth it getting this skill…. Skill List."

Viewing his new skill he grinned reading the description along with reading the orb that contained lightning Magic and an interesting piece of Magic inside.

If the orbs are destroyed by an outside force, the attacker is instantly electrocuted through Organic Link Magic.

Reading the descriptions summoning both Archer and Saber out in the open he gave them their next set of orders having Salves at the ready, "Alright boys you know what to do. Gather the orbs in our Requip space for later and then help ambush Laxus. Let's do this!"

The two nodded and began to collect the Orbs used for the Thunder Palace at a quick pace to effectively cancel out Laxus' plans in the process.

Standing alone contemplating everything going on Laxus views the interior of the Cathedral speaking to himself in a neutral tone, "This means you got no intention of giving up? You always were the stubborn one, old man!"

Hearing steps of someone entering inside the Kardina Cathedral Laxus grins viewing Mystogan appearing participating in the Battle of Fairy Tail grinning happily, "So you came. Mystogan! I never for a minute thought you'd take part in this game."

Mystogan merely replied to Laxus in a neutral tone demanding him to cancel his Thunder Palace he placed around Magnolia Town, "Take down the Thunder Palace immediately. It is possible we can still smooth this over as being part of the entertainment."

Laxus merely scoffs at the suggestion answering Mystogan's question of who's the strongest within the Guild responding in an arrogant tone, "Don't be a pea-brain. You already know who's rumored to be the strongest in Fairy Tail, right? Everyone says it's me or you."

Swirls of wind began to pick up between them as Mystogan responded in the same tone uncaring about such topics, "I don't really care. If I did, I would say Gildarts."

Laxus counters his words with his own filled with arrogance and pride in his tone replying, "Not a chance! He's never coming back. And Erza's a no go too. She's on her way, but now she's too weak."

Then another voice enters the conversation challenging Laxus's words anger in her tone, "Who are you calling weak!!!"

Laxus narrows his eyes seeing Erza come right in time marching forward with Mystogan present this time around as he voices to her in a neutral tone, "Glad to see you here Erza. You came right on time."

Erza seeing the unknown figure in front of her realized quickly with surprise evident in her eyes responding in a respectful tone, "And you must be Mystogan. I would say it's an honor to finally meet you in person without being put to sleep. Sadly, such a situation doesn't allow such a luxury at this moment."

Laxus merely growls at the two but then smirks with a confident grin on his face against two wizards, "Fine!!! I'll take both of you on! But it won't matter if the Thunder Palace will be activated! But you both won't be alive to witness it!! Let's settle who's really the strongest in Fairy Tail!!!!"

*Zzzz*

Laxus flares up his Magic Power showing his Lightning Magic with Erza having her blades drawn and Mystogan beginning to prepare his setup.
