chapter 5

I was brought in front of a large door. The man beside me entered a passcode and the door opened as he led me in.

"This is subject 008 sir". He said to the man sitting in the chair who. was none other than Brain.

"I see". Brain replied a smirk tugging at his lips."Leave us alone". He ordered and the man left.

"So kid what's your name?".He asked.

"Jin Russel". I said.

"Jin. Do you know why you are here?". He asked with the same smile.

"No". I answered.

"Ah, you my boy are a special one a diamond in the rough a very valuable asset".

He leaned in closer to his table.

"Do you have any idea of how much magic that little body of yours has. Enough that we have to keep those cuffs on you until we develop something that could prevent you from escaping here".

He then came closer to me with a collar in his hand and handed it to me. "Put it on and I will remove your cuffs".

I did as I was told and Brain removed the cuffs on my hand. Oh boy was that good. It felt like I was in a cage and someone opened the door and now I could fly as high as I wanted However his next words shocked me.

"That collar doesn't have any way of suppressing magic however if you run, I will simply activate my magic seal and the collar will explode with more than enough force to take out you and anything that resides in a 50-meter radius, turning it to dust".

I looked in shock which made him quite happy.

"I want to know what makes you tick and I want you to be cooperative for both of our sakes and don't lie when I ask questions, trust me I'll know". Then he stood up from his seat and walked beside me.

"What magic do you use and where did you learn it?".

"It's just normal reinforcement magic and-". Before I could complete my sentence I was zapped by volts of electricity which radiated from the collar.

"Hahaha Brat didn't I say not to lie". Brain said as he held a small controller which he used to zap me with."I am quite good at catching lies, Now I will ask again what is your magic and how did you learn it?". He asked my heaving body with a sadistic smirk.

"Spatial Dragon Slayer Magic, ya bastard". I said still recoiling from the pain and shock

Brain however was taken aback before a wide grin came on his face. " Oh, you are more special than I gave you credit for...hmm but still you haven't answered where you learned it from".

'Sage help me...I can't lie or he will catch me'.

[Answer: He is reading your lies based on fluctuations in your magic power. The problem can be solved using Control magic].

'I learned it from a dragon when I was young'. I said hoping not to get electrocuted again.

"Hm... Hahaha, you are telling the truth...but how you haven't had the time or years to learn something as complicated as Slayer magic but you aren't lying... Well eventually I will extract all your secrets so don't worry". He said menacing which showed off his yellow teeth.

[Jin POV].

The moment that bastard took me as his new protege I was screwed. He was painful and above all I gained little to nothing from it. He simply wanted to see my response to everything I did and hence did not try and teach me any basics of magic for the first two weeks.

I was beaten down and pierced using his magic and eventually, he discovered my High-speed healing which made the torture in the name of training harder.

"I will kill that bastard..screw everything I will kill him".

Every two days or so I was healed by a mage but Brain only allowed lethal wounds to be healed.

He was a sadistic bastard and the first week of his training was to beat me up to make me obedient and follow him however I wasn't gonna let that son of a bitch Corrupt me. I had planned an escape using my 'Spatial Dragon: Greater Teleport' but Sage told me to stay because training under Brain although painful would eventually be better than training alone.

I was standing in the training facility battered and bruised.

"Come at me kid". He said mockingly.

I infused my first with Spacial magic and a pushing force enveloped it as I ran to attack Brain and punched him in the face

"Spatial dragon: Iron fist". However, Brain dodged it in the nick of time and all it did was draw a drop of blood before he used his 'Dark Capriccio' to counter sending me flying.

"You Maggot..to think you could draw blood..perhaps I was too lenient on you..we will up the training from tomorrow onwards". Brain said angrily.

I stayed there with a giant bruise on my stomach, it hurt like hell however it was something I was suffering from for the past 6 months. 'I swear I will kill you..you will regret giving me the opportunity and power to grow. I swear.

I was then escorted to my room where the doctor started his daily routine of curing my lethal wounds but not the small bruises I had as per Brain's order.

"All right brat Defend yourself". He said as he launched into an attack. For the next 2 hours, it was pain and torment for me. He would aim for my non-vitals just to make it more gruelling and even hit me in my vitals but not with enough force to do any permanent damage, He was a pro at torturing his victims.

"This Bastard I will kill him. He didn't deserve to breathe and I was gonna make sure of it one day". I knew how Cannon would work but due to me staying in this world for a long time, I was starting to forget the details.

A Man brought some books into my room and simply placed them near my table. They were usually on basic types of magic like transformation. I wasn't in the state to read so I simply drifted off to sleep. It was the year X773 bordering on X774 and I was about to be 9 years old.

[Brain POV].

That brat is talented, he has had significant growth in physical and magical prowess during the last year alone however his magic output per attack doesn't match the amount of magic power he has in him. It is possibly a byproduct of him not clearly understanding his element which is quite a tricky one to understand being a Spatial element. I could have him taught under someone like Hades however the brat is exceptional and I will be damned to let another person have him. For now, though his hatred towards me is fueling his growth and that will do for now.
