Chapter; What now?

Zexxn gets up and walks up to the edge of the lake and lifts himself up and onto the grass, he rolls over and looks at the stars.

"I hope I didn't make a bad first impression... with accidentally marking her and all..."

he turns to see the father of Seria not impressed.

"You marked my daughter!? is that why you're here? To take her away and marry her?"

Zexxn froze, "Sir it was an accident, we were drunk at a tavern after a long day of helping the locals with packing up the festival."

The old man looks like he's about to punch something, but just sighs and tells him "You'd better set off with her tomorrow morning, and take her to the Hajim Mountains. I don't want to see both of you hurt"

Zexxn wonders what he means by that, and asks "why do we need to set off for the Hajim Mountains?"

The old man just says "The prophecy of course! when a white and black panther saves our lands from evil, the balance will hold with no sick lands, and the moon will glow more once again"

Zexxn gets up and says "thank you for the hospitality, we'll go by morning", the old man grins and lends his cape to cover Zexxn.

"I'm Chief Albern by the way"

they walk back upstairs together and Chief Albern addresses him to his new partner, "Seria, Zexxn will be staying in your room for the night, you two will be leaving for the Hajim Mountains by morning and Zexxn, here's some spare clothes, goodnight you two!"

Chief Albern leaves and Zexxn awkwardly walks over with the spare clothes to a nook to get changed.

I can't help but watch him walk past then blush, I turn over and try to ignore the fact I was staring at how bad he is with capes.

"You can look you know, I don't mind"

I squeeze my pillow in shame and then pretend I'm sleeping.

He finally finishes dressing and hops in bed next to me.

I turn to him to see him glaring at me.

I shriek blushing and say "WHY ARE YOU IN MY BED? WHAT DID MY DAD SAY TO YOU?"

he looks down then up as if he was finding the right words to say, "remember that night at the tavern?"

I nod, he continues "well I accidentally marked you..."

I sit up straight away and get out of bed and walk towards a standing mirror in the hut.

I unravel my night dress enough to see a faded bite mark on the shoulder to the right on my back.

I froze and silently moved back to bed and face opposite Zexxn, he worries and whispers "I'm so sorry!"

Zexxn starts thinking what now?
