The Public

The public at large was confused, since they were told it was going to be a viewing of people living happily in the other world. It was promoted on the media as showing the family members of the worried world it was fine, they still could live in the other world.

The result didn't scare them like the death scenes or the murder ones, but was confusing it didn't explain why the radical change. It was not the person they expected to connect to, it was one of the briefest and the most confusing of all viewed people they saw. Speculation ran from wrong person, to alien surgery, to advanced trickery to hide the truth from them.

(Newscaster)"We should think the world of magic they live in can transform the whole body, maybe even the soul!"

(Guest Host)"That is preposterous, they have shown far little advancement in medical sciences, it is something we cannot even do. We know Vorruck the boy had horns attached to his head, perhaps they are interfering with the signal we receive and it was all fake."

(Newscaster)"But that is you admitting that part of it is real! You cannot admit he has horns on his head, nor his entire being was changed!"

The news had debates like it was a drama on tv and they were picking and writing their own stories for the scenes described, it was the talk of anyone who also nothing else to do.

In prison where entertainment was banned, the people would watch it day and night. The guards had no way to interfere since they could turn the screen invisible for the guards. It was everyone's choice to view it, nobody could truly enforce a ban.

The internet was no different as different conspiracies grew and people began to favor some people in the other world over others. It was like a drama show to some, while others it felt like the best video game ever, nobody could escape it with everyone able to view.

It was watched by people for fun or by some to see this odd world in their unfortunate circumstances. The medical community tried to gather up what they knew and confirmed such a bizarre life altering surgery couldn't be completed.

it was not possible there was not only a height difference, a muscle density difference, the very skeleton had changed it was not a mere cosmetic change it was a true change into another person. This form of technology was far from present, it was mere science fiction currently.

(Government official)"The horns we believe are essential clue, we should put people with these characteristics on the top of the goal for getting information on. They could be in possession or work for those who have more advanced technology than even us."

The top brass for the Other world met again, and realized they messed up. They put an individual probably who could provide world changing information in the bottom of their list. They instantly began a new goal of tighter surveillance by switching target instead focusing their efforts on one.

(Government Official)"If we got another unexpected variable we could be hit more unrest then the day the screen appeared, it is essential we make it seem we always knew the truth even more then our neighbours."

The Russians, EU, and China all pretended it was standard procedure and nothing different happened but underneath they had the same issues. It was dangerous to have your failures pointed out by the followers, they should believe the government knew it all along and played stupid and not was actually stupid.
