(Rohn)"The cannon as I call it will pierce through the wooden fence then continue though the abandoned shed."

(Stranger)"At this range, are you mad sir Rohn?"

They were set up to view the cannon, once the word got out he was testing a new war device the knights and the Zotts family attended. It was first for seeing the Zotts family.

They had the head who was a man with a long beard and his wife who still looked young with blond hair, and three sons who became knights with two daughters one youngest one the eldest of the children. They sat underneath a pitched patio as they watched Rohn talk with the knight over his crude cannon.

(Rohn)"The target is less then 50 yards, we can easily reach it and smash through it."

(Stranger)"Easily? I think you trust this new toy of yours too much."

The head of knights was talking with him light banter, the two both were stubborn and wouldn't change. After loading the cannon and aiming it enough, it fired with a loud bang. The trajectory was off, and the cannon ball flew away into the distant field.

(Head Knight)"Impressive range sir Rohn, but you lack the capacity to aim such a device I bet."

(Rohn)"Not quite, just requires practice first time for me you know."

The cannon design came from him when he recalled how his buddie was into civil war reenactments, it was a simply front loader based off what he knew. It didn't come from a official design but was more along the lines of putting together pieces that should work, and shouldn't blow up in his face.

(Head Knight)"The elemental sorcerers must love you, always employing them for your gadgets."

(Rohn)"They are useful, they just need direction."

He was able to make a steel cannon from them, usually they just made advanced metals that most blacksmiths couldn't make. But he employed them to make stuff, it was on a pay per creation so they were eager for his new ideas or next thing.

(Rohn)"Firing again, in three two one fire!"

With another lowd bang it launched through the house and kept going, it eventually hit a cow on the field making a gore filled hole in the center of it. The knights all eagerly inspected the house and cow, and were contemplating the weapon.

(Knight)"It''s heavy, and way to loud for an ambush or for fast warfare. It also require the special formula he invented called gunpowder, the cannon balls can be replaced with anything after test but it lacks offensive capacity."

The head of knights was listening to the detailed report and deemed the invention perfect for defensive of forts and city's, minimal training could make them deadly defensive.
