Chapter 4: Shopping trip & trying my hands on Transmutation
"Haha, Okay if you say so, Bring it all here." Asked the shopkeeper while laughing.
Then the Shopkeeper billed them and I left the shop after paying for all that. Then after I reach a good distance from the shop I enter the back alley after checking my surroundings where I put all this into my inventory and then take off my clothes and use Shape-shifting to change into my older version and then change into bigger clothes I found in my house.
Then I went into a book shop where I bought books containing knowledge on Chemistry, Physics, mathematics from HIgh school to university level with a lot of notebooks for taking notes and writing stationeries and some old books on martial arts and swordsmanship as I have an interest in it in my previous life.
Now after returning home, I take out all the stuff I bought during my shopping trip and create a Shadow clone to short out all the things according to their uses, and it starts doing it without any rebuttal as it doesn't have a full one personality of itself and I achieved it by using a bit of Mana while creating it as I think of giving it a consciousness that will follow every order of mine.
After giving orders to the clone I myself went into the basement that is the study room. It also contains a large free space I am thinking of using as my Library.
To start making a library for myself I first start to imagine who I want it to look like and make a rough design for it on paper, on a rough one as in my previous life I wasn't very good at working with a plan as I was never able to do everything according to it so, in the end, change my style of doing a thing to plan things as I work on them and it worked.
Then I went inside the shed in my backyard and I don't know for what reason it is filled with a lot of different types of wood ranging from American Oak, rainbow eucalyptus to Japanese Sakura and some low-quality wood that I don't know.
As for how I knew the names of different types of wood, it was because I have watched many woodworking videos on youtube in my previous life and have picked up many things from them on how to work with wood.
First I put many plants of Alder, Oak, Rainbow eucalyptus, Japanese Sakura, and some ordinary wood and put them into my inventory and went downstairs to the basement.
There I take out ordinary wood and start testing my Transmutation skill on it as I start concentrating on changing its shape as I channel my energy into it and 'Wu Lala' it changes its shape according to my thoughts but more than 40% of the energy I supplied to it went into waste then I tried, again and again, trying different ways to use transmutation without wasting any energy.
After many trials and errors, I found a way, at first I was just channeling energy into the wood and as I try to change its shape I lose connection to my energy.
So I think why not channel my energy into the wood in a form of a string that slowly spreads into every part of it while still connected to me then I started to change its shape as I want and it succeed at the cost of only 10% of the energy I required before and it all went into changing the structure of the wood that the part that has changed at.
Then I try using the same process of manipulating my energy into thin and sharp threads, sharp enough to cut wood.
With two hours of practice, I was able to harden and sharpen it to the point that my threads can easily penetrate a 1 cm thick steel plate.
Then started and create three 2 m tall bookcases the first and second try was a little bit crude at some edges but it fixed it all on my third try and then I create the same thing with Rainbow eucalyptus wood and it came out even better than I imagine of with its different colored grains creating an interesting pattern to look at, I also used my imagination with my energy to harden its surface a little and it worked out on the end and now its will be protected against the weather.
When I finished making the bookcase it was already night time and my Shadow clone was hard at work as it cooked dinner for me.
Leaving the clone to do its work I went to take a nice long bath and after that, I dispel the Shadow clone and get all its memories and find out that while I was in the basement working it cleaned everything in the house and also practice a bit of Energy control and even read some of the books on chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics a bought today.
Then I eat dinner cooked by the clone as I watch TV, then go to my room where I meditate for two to three hours controlling my energies to flow through every part of my body in a cycle as they nourish my body bit by bit.
The next day I decided to buy two skills from the Skill list in the next three days, [Double System Points] at cost of 2 Skill Pt.s same as [Double Skill Points] but for system points and [All Element Manipulation Rank D] at cost of 10 Skill Pt.s and it also become the most costly skill I have.
I also bought [Grimoire of Souls Rank B] costing 700 System points from the shop leaving 1,300 System points. I bought it so I can get knowledge on the soul as I am thinking of getting the 'Boosted Gear' for myself and the best way to take it without killing Issei is to detach it from his soul.
For the next month, I continue to do physical training myself whereas I create shadow clones to do things like reading books doing house chores and being an opponent of mine in sparring matches I also started my swordsmanship training with a strong wooden sword that I created using Transmutation on a piece of Australian Buloke of that I found in my backyard shed.
