CHAPTER 682: Dividing The Spoils

Akley stared foolishly at the divine essences being poured onto the ground. He was completely stunned.

The earth elite zombie who had emptied the sack of divine essence onto the ground looked at Akley with a hostile gaze. It was as if it was about to pounce on Akley and tear him to pieces as soon as Han Shuo gave the signal.

Han Shuo heaved a sigh of relief when he heard from the earth elite zombie that the metal elite zombie was fine. He was lucky to have even taken thirty percent in the end.

Besides, under the current circumstances, even if Han Shuo wanted to take all the divine essence for himself, there was nothing Akley could do to stop him.

"I have no objection to the division, but since you are not cultivating in the Edict of Destruction, why don't you give me all sixteen of the Destruction Divine Essences? You can have all the wind and lightning divine essence. How about that?" Akley hesitated before making a counter-proposal.

"That won't be enough. I need some Destruction Divine Essences as well. I have a use for them!" "What use do you have for Destruction Divine Essences?" Akley asked, forcing a smile. He had no idea why Han Shuo was so insistent on taking some of the Destruction Divine Essences.

Han Shuo had three souls that were connected but independent of each other, so he was immune to the problem Akley described. Han Shuo smiled and shook his head before replying, "You don't have to worry about that for me. I know what I'm doing!"

As he spoke, Han Shuo took the initiative to help Akley divide his share of the divine essence. Han Shuo was quite generous and did not select only the smallest pieces of Divine Essence for Akley.

Han Shuo selected thirty pieces of Destruction, Wind, and Lightning Divine Essence from the bundle and pushed them to Akley, "This is the share you deserve. With these ten pieces of Destruction Divine Essence, I believe you can at least reach the late stage of the Lowgod Realm. I wish you the best of luck in your quest to avenge your master's death!" Han Shuo told Akley in a deep voice.

Akley forced a smile and put the thirty divine essences away. He sighed, "Too bad, too bad it's not one hundred and six Destruction Divine Essences. Just ten of them isn't nearly enough for a substantial breakthrough!"

"Be satisfied with what you have. Consuming divine essence is the safest way to increase the divine energy you have. Ten pieces of Divine Essence are considered a very valuable treasure on Elysium. Keep them safe and find a safe place to absorb the energy they contain," Han Shuo reminded him.

"Where are you going?" Akley could tell that the two were about to part ways. After interacting with Han Shuo for a few days, Akley had a pretty positive feeling about Han Shuo. Therefore, he asked where Han Shuo was going.

Han Shuo's mind was filled with indecision during the journey. Based on the words of the Earth Elite Zombie, the five Elite Zombies could grow better on Elysium. However, four of the five cultivated in the energy of Earth, Life, Fire and Water. These energies were incompatible with the dominion of the Calamity Overgods, where Han Shuo was. If they stayed with Han Shuo, sooner or later they would cause trouble.

However, Han Shuo could not be completely at ease letting them off to the four respective Dominions separately. This plane was, after all, the Plane of Gods. There were all kinds of mighty gods all around. Han Shuo was concerned about their safety.

With that, Han Shuo was at a total loss for what to do. He had chosen to stand in the camp of the Calamity Overgods. If others were to discover his relationship with earth and wood elite zombie who cultivated in the earth element and edict life, he would be in great danger and might even be taken as a traitor by the Calamity Church.

The Dominion of Darkness was many times larger than the Profound Continent. The City of Shadows was one of the five major cities in the Dominion of Darkness. But before Han Shuo even got close to the fort, six tall boundary towers reaching through the clouds caught his eye. The tops of the boundary towers glowed with a deep, dark radiance. They took the shape of a six-pointed star, constantly spreading a powerful boundary around the fort.

It was impossible to enter the fort without a divine tablet and crystal coins.

Divine guards were stationed in the gaps between the boundary towers. Their figures blended with the darkness and their appearance was indistinguishable as they coldly watched the movements of all those who entered the fort.

Han Shuo found himself in the middle of a crowd of gods cultivating in the energy of darkness, death and destruction heading towards the fort. After carefully observing his surroundings, Han Shuo discovered the presence of gods cultivating in other energies such as space, earth and fire. It seemed that the Dominion of Darkness did indeed allow gods of other energies to enter.

After a moment of careful observation and listening, Han Shuo learned that with the exception of the gods who cultivated in the Edict of Life and the Element of Light, all other gods were allowed to enter. This was because the Overgods of Calamity were eternal enemies of the Overgods of Light and Life.
