Evan remembered Lucia's words that some races did intend to kill her as their revenge for the death of their ancestors. But that was a bit contradictory to Piwood's explanation which said they were after Lucia's power.
'Wait a minute... They're not only aiming for the King's position but also power, which means...they want to get Lucia's Core Energy! This is dangerous!!'
"Let's go back to the throne room, Piwood! Lucia is in danger." Evan panicked when he realized that the snake he previously killed was indeed on duty to kill Lucia.
"What happened??" Piwood was shocked when Evan screamed in his ear.
"I'll explain later. Let's hurry!" Evan tugged at the branch on Piwood's head.
Just as Piwood and Gerrow were about to go up the stairs, Piwood's steps stopped as vibrations were felt throughout the castle.
"Earthquake?" Evan, who was on Piwood's shoulder, also felt quite strong vibrations even though his feet didn't touch the floor.
"No, it wasn't an earthquake. However, it was the Lamia Race who carried out the attack on this castle. My King, it looks like I will finish them off below. You come with Gerrow to protect the Princess." Piwood lowered his body to put Evan down.
Evan hesitated a little while deciding on Piwood's request. He felt responsible for his carelessness in eating the snakes of the Lamia Race. They, too, would definitely take advantage of this momentum to attack Darkness Castle with all their might.
"I'm coming with you, Piwood. As King, I must do something to get them to stop the attack. Gerrow! I entrust Lucia to you. Use your best ability to protect her." Evan gave emergency orders to Gerrow.
"Yes, My King." The penguin saluted then instantly disappeared from its place after touching his black bow tie.
"Ehhh!! What kind of trick is that... What is teleportation magic?" Evan wondered how a penguin could use high-level magic that only a Saint could use.
"Even if you lose your memory, your authority will never be lost. So hold on tight, My King. We will head to the ground floor." Piwood, the True Dragon King's longest-serving servant, was genuinely moved by Evan's attitude.
"W-wait a minute... I can't grip with paws!!"
Without waiting for Evan to be ready, Piwood touched the ring on one of his fingers and...
*Zap*
They moved to the top of one of the 20-meter tall trees in the forest surrounding Darkness Castle.
Evan let go of his bite from Piwood's hair and tried to keep something out of his mouth after feeling the side effects of Teleportation Magic. "Hueek... So that's called turbulence?"
"Oops, I'm sorry, My King. I thought you still had your Turbulence resistance ability."
When nausea began to subside, he began to look around him.
"W-what is this? Are they all snakes?!" Evan was surprised to realize that the towering castle had been shrouded in tens of thousands of snakes wriggling upwards. Not only snakes measuring 5 meters but there were 5 times bigger than that.
"Attacking when the Princess is weak? Coward!" Piwood was really annoyed by Lamia Lord's cowardly actions.
Evan tried to think objectively about the problems that occurred by reducing his annoyance. When he realized that the snakes only reached 1/10 of the castle's height.
"Piwood, can you use magic to stop them? Remember, just stop them and don't kill any of them."
Evan felt helpless if he had to fight so many snakes. Actually, he wanted to test how vital his new skill was to fight the snake. Still, after seeing that there were several snakes of giant size, he stopped his intention.
"Yes, My King. As long as there is land and trees, this is my territory. Judgment of Forest!" Piwood raised long roots from the ground with his magic to knock down the snakes that had climbed up the castle walls and pushed them away from the castle. Not only that, but he also controls the large trees around the castle to make walls from branches.
Evan was stunned by Piwood's magic. First, all the snakes were brought down, and then the branches of the large tree surrounding the castle connected to each other to form a 20-meter high barricade.
Evan didn't waste this opportunity to look for the Lamia Lord among the crowd of snakes. Instead, with his Appraiser Skill, he checked the snake suspected to be the Lamia Lord because it had the largest size.

'Whoa! I can finally unlock the hidden status!' Evan slowly began to understand how his Appraiser Skill worked.
Because his level was not far from him's level, Evan concluded that the Monster Class was above his Mob Class level. But after noticing that the title was empty, he was sure that it wasn't Lamia Lord.
'Where's the Lord... Where's the Lord...??'
His Appraiser skill was completely ineffective because it could only check one by one monster. He found it difficult to search among the tens of thousands of snakes.
"My King, are you sure you don't want to kill them? Because my wooden walls can only hold them back for a few more minutes."
The snakes could easily climb the wooden walls that Piwood made. Judging from Evan's status, the Lamia Race did have high Agility, which made them excellent climbers. Using the same method still wouldn't discourage them. In fact, it would only make Piwood tired quickly.
Evan thought for a moment to stop the snakes' movement while he searched for Lamia Lord. Still, he only found a deadlock in his mind because he was too panicked.
But he accidentally saw that several snakes fell in the same place and some snakes that avoided certain areas.
'Oh, yes! Even though I've done it before! This will be an easy opponent!'
"Piwood, create thorny bushes around the castle. A giant version." Evan pointed to how big of a bush Piwood needed to make.
"That big? So easy, My King. Seed Magic! Thorn Bush." Piwood spread his arms, and slowly around the castle, the green dots were shining brightly. In just seconds, the light instantly turned into vines that had sharp thorns.
Evan watched for a moment what the snakes were doing. Then, according to Evan's prediction, they just circled around the castle and didn't dare to climb it again.
"They're confused. A clever trick, My King."
"Hehe, now we just have to wait for their Lord to come. And one more thing, can you make a plant like that?" Evan pointed to one of the bright yellow plants.
If it was according to Evan's prediction, Lamia Lord would definitely be upset when his plan failed. Then, he hoped that his prediction would be successful.
