Fingers clutching the front brake, I pushed down the rear one slowly, to take some more time to impede the speed and observe the reflection on the rearview mirror. The diminutive structure of a brown Infiniti followed along.
Pretty soon my engine stopped, bike placed within one of the rectangles of the parking spot. Mimicking my action, the car stopped too, behind the small entrance to the parking. How smart they were thinking that it wasn't possible to notice them from this distance. Blimey!
I unbelted my helmet and slid it off my head taking more than some seconds. My eyes lazily remained settled upon nowhere, but obliquely to the rearview again as I observed the group of four men who stepped out of the car and peeked from the wall, vigilant about every movement to be done by me.
So I moved. One step at a time had an echo of four pairs from behind in the silent vacant lane. After Big Hit changed their office location to this side of the city, the parking lot had become distant. So every day I had to travel a small distance to reach the office. These guys must have known it.
Who were they? Why were they following me?
Coming from the BTS case, I hadn't made any such lovely enemies yet then who needed to follow me to Big Hit. Then? Sasengs? Anyone from my previous cases? I wasn't sure...
'Excuse me, miss.' My legs stopped. To hide the amusement tinted smile on my lips, I lowered my head slightly and turned around. This time I clearly saw their faces. 'Yes? How may I help you?' Their gaze scanned my whole body. My brain warned me to get ready for future actions. They took a step forward, and I took a step back.
'I'm sorry but you will have to come with us.' They didn't tell, they ordered. I scrutinized them for the quickest span. The man who stood ahead from all of them, he was probably the leader. Korean-white and slender, had stubbles and a big cut on his right cheek, almost like a cross it appeared. Though they presented an overall strong audacious built, their current relaxed body posture certified them as unprepared with no caution that any sudden attack may be received.
'Who are you?' I questioned. They wouldn't reply of course. The leader cued and one of them took steps forward to get behind to lift me up unarmed.
I clenched my knuckles and shot a quick punch to the proceeding one and paced back. They were a bit appalled by the fact that I would fight back hard like that but didn't take much time to restore themselves.
'Get her.' The leader ordered and all of them jumped on me, trying to twist my arms backward to leave me unviable. I kneed the second on his stomach while observing the motion of hands of the leader to the inside of his pocket, bringing out something a silver part of which glistened under the morning sun.
They came armed. But they wouldn't dare to shoot in broad daylight, on that in such a place where people can come by anytime, would they? Just to scare me with that. I kicked on his hand to cause some delay in the process, a sudden quick glance my eyes took towards the nearby lamppost took away the seconds. For, I just stared still.
A few mint locks swayed in the air for the shortest period. A pale face quickly slipped away.
S...Suga...?
What was he doing here?
The time was over. My arms were held against my back already twisted, my legs had partially lost touch with the surface as I was lifted upward. The fourth man was coming forward with a half-gauze wet rag in his hand, perhaps to knock me out. I stepped on the man's foot who was holding me tightly from back. He let out a small groan. His grip on my wrists loosened, I pushed him forward to the side and ran.
Bad time. Bad time. Bad time. I couldn't fight in front of the male, I needed to get away.
They were fast, and I was tired. I shot long steps to create the maximum distance I could then took a right turn. In the time I was turning my head to take a look behind, out of the blue, a pair of fast hands pulled me into the narrow crevice between the walls.
I tussled to free myself from the grip but failed as the silhouette yanked me closer, placing his palm on my lips. 'Ssh...Y/N. It's me.' Brown eyes shimmered under the pallid partial ray reaching into the resident dark edge.
'...Jimin??' I mouthed under his palm, beyond surprised. Before I could speak anything further, he hastily turned me around and kept me held within his resting fort arms.
Marching footsteps soon reached nearby. Through the small corner, our two pair eyes stared, unblinking to the forms, how restless they looked around.
'Where did she go?!' Brisky orbs roamed around with ire. Menaces through their form and their faces had turned into a twisted shape which would be pacified by nothing other than the sight of me, the prey they are resolved to find.
'Ouc-' My mumbling smallest groan getting sharply prodded by something was buried under a meteoric stable palm. Jimin pushed me back abruptly against his chest hard and hissed. 'Shut up...'
The motion of the guys stopped. They slowly took a look around.
'...Did you hear anything?'
The place was silent. The only sound that could be heard if you sharpened your ears, would have been of my fast-beating heart.
I subconsciously shifted my sweaty hand to the side, shivered slightly as a small soft one intertwined with it, as salty as mine.
'C'mon. Let's go.' Their figures moved away from the side seeable from the small corner. Footsteps to be heard, getting away with the baby walk of time.
We stood immobile for seconds. My eyes blinked finally.
'They're gone...' A small whispering voice claimed from my behind. Jimin's face peeked out from behind the layer of my hair. Our eyes locked for a second. And the realization finally took place.
I looked at the cross formed by our hands, and I looked at him.
My eyes landed on his lips.
Too close.
A small drop of sweat elevated down from his nose, over the slight shine. His pink shapes were like rose petals stitched together, so soft and kissable. Something electrifying gave me a jolt. I tried to push myself one foot away from him, our hands were still laced so I couldn't.
"Are you alright?" I slowly continued to untie the fingers getting over the moment of predicament, "I'm fine."
"But what were you doing here?" He was rather impervious than I thought, as he answered my question. "I saw them coming after you, and you needed help." He said, "But tell me, did they attack you?"
"Ahh they- ouch, don't touch there!" I quickly withdrew my hand by the contact of his palm on my forearm.
"Are you hurt? Let me see."
"No." I stopped him from rolling up my sleeve, "I had hurt myself earlier." I pulled my sleeve down till my wrist again. It was the cut from the earlier fight with the hotel guards. The cut got me some stitches, hadn't healed yet.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm fine." I reiterated, overwhelmed by his words. Was he worried about me? Or trying to sound so? Perhaps the second one.
"But..." Sporadically I questioned. "...who were they?"
There was a quick play of reaction on the male's face which I couldn't but notice, as he bit his lip getting lost in anxious thoughts. "Maybe..." His hand traveled to the back of his tilting neck.
"But you...why would th-" He stared at me for sometimes, before towing my wrist with a jerk.
"We must get out now." He eyed the front direction, turning around to scale the level of the sidewalls.
"Can you climb?" He asked, "Stand on the steep first, I will lift you up..." I jumped onto the broken edges then hopped to the surface.
'So you don't need help? That's good.' He jumped on before me and crawled. 'Which direction is Big Hit?' I had lost directions, so I was about to take out my phone to locate.
'Just follow me.' He calmly replied. 'And cover yourself. Those guys can still be around.'
A short crawl above the wall, then a moderate stroll through a few lanes, finally he stopped. I was lost at the initial, but pretty soon I started to recognize the surroundings.
'We're here.' I looked above at the back of the respective tall building blocking the sky. Even though the location was still new, he seemed to know the roads and lanes better than me. How?
'Bye Y/N.' I was caught off guard. 'Huh?'
'Oh...okay.' He put his sunglasses on and started moving forward, suddenly unwelcoming, cold, and distant. 'Be careful though.' His head didn't turn back, 'You might face it same later times.' My eyebrow curved up in question.
What did he mean?
Suga's P.O.V:-
'Yoongi?' Namjoon's voice reached up from the other side, 'You called?'
'Are you heading for the station now?'
'I am on my train. Why? Is anything wrong?'
'There's a thing.' I made a pause to arrange the next sentences I was about to speak, 'Our manager Y/N, a few guys tried to kidnap her when she was heading for the office. And they didn't seem like some minor kidnappers to me.' I could sense the other male's forehead attaining wrinkles from thoughts, 'Are you trying to say, those guys-'
'There's a chance. Or else why would they be after her? Did they someway get to know who we...are...by any chance?' Strains of worries could be heard from Namjoon's voice, 'But how? We surely didn't leave anything back...'
He soon replied, 'Some big problems might be coming up. I am out of the city now, Yoongi. Can you please keep an eye and manage it until I come back? Our concert is nearby, if we can keep everything in hand until then...it should work out fine.'
'I shall try. I don't wanna ruin your vacation, but please try not to be too late, Namjoon...'
'I understand. Take care of others too. Get Hoseok into work for finding those guys' identities out. You saw them clearly?'
'Yes, I did. And there can be CCTV footages too.'
'Good. Find out the info and inform me right away.'
'Hmm. Okay. Goodbye then.' I cut the call. Thoughts and puzzles flying and dashing around inside the brain, a trident to be formed centering between my eyebrows.
Y/N...I was right about her.
The way she fought, no one can fight like that unless they are trained...
There's something...
Is there something-?
Something that...we don't know??
