Chapter 58- Reunion

Alana POV

After we left the council room, I had a lot of questions for Tera, but I could feel that she was in no mood to talk.

Anything that she would have to share with me I was willing to wait for when she would be ready.

"Wait, Lady Alana...." Jakos called for me ."I will not ask you what is going on right now but when you ready to tell me please come find me. I know you may think you own me no explanation, however if I can help you in any way please tell me."

I just nodded, I didn't know what do say. I knew I was hiding something too that someday I would have to come clean to everyone, my only fear is that they wouldn't accept me.

Jakos entered his room, I kept following Glacies.

'Tera?' she still didn't respond. I guess she wanted to be alone for now.

"Here is your room Tera." Glacies wanted to hug Tera but she held back. She really seemed to like Tera alot.

I thanked and entered the room.

Inside it looked different from a human room. It was almost magical.

Around the room there were golden orbs of pure magic floating serenely illumating the room.

The walls felt like I was inside of a huge tree,

there was a enormous oval window next to the bed, the view outside was full with the lights globes all around, dragons and others flying creatures up in the sky. The streets looked busy, althought it looked so close, it all seemed far away.

The room felt like it was designed just for Tera.

3rd POV

As Tera entered her father's study, she could feel the heavy tension in the air. Elder Ter was a formidable dragon, known for his iron-clad rule and unwavering commitment to the protection of the Federation.

They both looked at eachother without saying a word, it was a while and the silent persisted. Tera was still standing in front of the door, as if she was waiting for a moment she could turn and leave.

"You still remained stubborn child." Elder Ter sighted.

"I am my father's daughter, I could be no different." Tera said finally sitting down.

"You haven't change a bit, always so quick to answer. I see you soulbounded with a human."

Tera didn't say anything. Just stared at her father.

Elder Ter sighted, "I have been worried. There's so much I wanted to explain to you at that time, if you had listened to me.... You wouldn't have ended having the same fate as my brother."

"I regret nothing." Tera said.

"Stubborn child." Ter grawled loudly. "Do you not understand this has taken most of your life span, this soulbounding is just a momentary thing. You then lose everything once that human perishes."

"At least, father I would have lived, I experienced so much, in this momentarily thing as you say, more than you lived in your life time. This connection...."

"You sound just like my brother." Elder Ter was distraught."if was up to you and him, there would be no more dragons left to protect the federation, to protect the weaker beings."

"There is always going to be dragons, Father."

Elder Ter sighted again, his daughter was too stubborn, but so was he.

After a moment of silence, he was looking at Tera with endearing eyes.

"After you and Ignis ran away, I wished, I hadn't forbidden that relationship. Ignis was not I had in visioned for you but that's who you chose ... how is he?"

Tera clenched her fist, " I don't know, after we were attacked we got separated in the human realm. I was too weak and me a the human soulbounded to save each other. I haven't seen him since." She said looking away.

Elder Ter came closer to her, now in more smaller form, he looked almost human, in two legs, but had his dragon horns, a long white beard and his tail, to see his daughter in a human body was a very painful sight to see.

He touched Tera's cheeks, and he could see everything that had happened.

"I can't believe you did this, you soulbounded while the human was still a child, you could have perished."

"It's not like we both did have much choice either. If you hadn't attacked Ignis and I, I wouldn't be weak enough to fight it. That almost killed this child as well. But we fought hard together to get stronger, and we did."

"Is that so? " He tilted his head. "Why is there a seal on this child mind and in your power? Should I remove it." He extended his hand ready to remove it.

"DON'T!!" Tera screamed, hold her father's hand away. Tera's heart raced in fear. "No you can't remove it, not yet, she is not ready."

"Didn't you just say that you became stronger??" Elder Ter said enuncianting every word.

"There's so much you don't understand. Your fear of losing your life keeps you from living and you and your council prevent the others from living, only in living and experiencing things you can develop understanding for many other things in life, Father."

"Humans have flimsy time span, that little time they manage to destroy and break things."

"Weren't we the same once ruling with greed and wanting power..?"

"But we evolved and we learned from our mistakes." Elder Ter was holding Tera by her shoulders. "We can argue all night about this. And is not like I wouldn't like to that... But" he sighted once again, he felt no matter what he would say, she would resist with all her being.

"What are you planning to do?" He asked.

"Whatever she wants and needs to do. "

"Are you her vessel?" He asked angerly

"You don't understand the soulbounding, father, until you soulbound with another being, you won't understand." Tera gets out of her father's grasp and turn to leave, before she does so she turns around, looking at him. " It was nice seeing you again." She closed the door behind her.

'I know you have a lot of questions but please trust me, you will have everything revealed when you are ready.' Said Tera while Alana remained silent.
