He finds himself finally being able to finally sleep despite the horrible feeling of what happened with Sophia, as though he was wide awake in his dreams able to move he catches sight of a large eyeball staring deeply into his view.
It fades to the woman dressed in black, she takes his hand making him follow her down a road of spider lily, he would be lead to a vision of Gavyn falling into a slumber and never awakening.
In his hands would appear to shake as Lady Trinity would sprint into the room mourning as he turns to dust, his body would linger in the air.
Dominique would wake up in sweat unable to shake the horrible thought he would be to blame for Gavyn's death, was it real?
He crawls from bed around seven at night taking his time to see if anyone else was up that very second, first person he sees is Sophia taking tea with Gavyn.
Sophia takes notice of his complexion, she gets up from the seat to touch his face, "Dominique?"
Slapping her hand away shocks her, "I see now...you have feelings for Gavyn."
They both blush at the same time, Gavyn says nothing at first to Dominique scratching the back of his head, "We didn't want to announce anything at first since we only just seeing each other."
"Please don't tell anyone you saw us together please Dominique."
Disheartened he withdrawals from their company slamming the doors behind him.
"I was such a fool."
He would go to town on his own accord instead of without Gavyn, he becomes aware of his appearance quickly visiting a clothing shop after catching wind of how people dress currently.
Dominique slicks his hair back after tossing his old fashion into the dumpster, he no longer had a taste for old styles such as suspenders and bland brown trousers.
Stepping into the most hopping nightclubs and mingling local women he found this life exciting, he had to limit the amount of alcohol he would intake since he would often initiate fights and get kicked out.
He learned women would take the ugliest of men, he would sleep with them ending their lives in a flurry of rush caught in the excitement of blood-rush in the moment of climax.
Dominique would binge endless nights getting lost coming back nearly early morning, he often would miss Gavyn who was becoming steadily worried by his newfound activities.
He no longer was the wide-eyed enthusiast who loved to be around others, he would have deep bags under his eyes, he was heavily exploring drugs.
One day he was getting dressed when Gavyn knocks on his door, "Dominique, can we talk please?"
"You have Sophie to yourself, you should be happy Gavyn," Dominique responds opening the door.
"Do not tell me this is why you are doing this?"
"I am now up to date, I am having a blast with my life now!"
"But...isn't this too excessive Dominique?"
"What could possibly be bad about this as I am finally getting out."
Finishing tying his tie he pushes Gavyn out of the way making clicking noises with motions with finger guns, he accidentally bumps into Sophie.
She thumps onto the ground, Dominique helps her get back up dusting her off, "Dominique?"
He does a spin in his newest outfit showing it off, "I am finally with it, how do I look?"
"Did you really need to get rid of your charming dress?"She questions.
"Charming doesn't get the girl..." He says departing, "Catch you later babe!"
Gavyn and Sophie watch in confusion the more they watch him change almost daily obsessed with fashion, designer drugs, and sleeping habits becoming atrocious.
Downtown he would strut his stuff meeting new groups of people till the point where he would be waking up in alleyways throwing up, eating food to keep up the charade of human-like nature was starting to wear him down.
It began to pour down rain pulling a vanishing act on a party of people he met with, he began to find them boring night after night.
He hobbled down the watery streets with a horrible headache after drinking too much, he knew very well he should have been more careful as his vision blurred.
"This isn't what I wanted..." Dominique told himself watching lines in his vision start to curve trying to make it to the curb, he falls to the center of the street passing out.
Cars started to honk carrying on, people shouting from their windows; a lady in black holds her hands out the vehicles, "Please hold a moment while I get him."
She dunks down pulling his hand around her shoulder leading him away taking him to a den not too far from he was, she lays him down on a couch moving to the kitchen handing him a bag of frozen peas.
He blacks out the rest of the night sleeping at this stranger's abode waking up to the lady getting dressed in her usual all-black attire, she hands him a vial of blood.
Dominique sits up slowly taking it, "Hey...thank you for this."
"Don't mention it...make sure to take your book on the way out please."
"Book, I don't have a book?"
"You do...good day." She says nothing more before leaving, he pages through the pages before stuffing it under his arm shuffling home that night, only to be caught by Gavyn, but ignores him locking his bedroom door.
The rest of the night he would examine the writings instead of going out.
