Ch4: New Family

3rd pov

"Kaiser I welcome you to the house of the Pendragon family, the place that you will spend the rest of your life in, the place that will help you get closer to your goal, your new home." Uther said while smiling warmly at Kaiser.

Kaiser looked at the mansion with an amazed face, or at least tried to but his facial expression didn't change.

"I expected you to be astonished but given your circumstances, it is understandable why you didn't react." Uther said while sighing with disappointment. Uther mood quickly changed and he went back to smiling "Now lets enter the mansion, there are several people you need to know about. The rest of things will be explained to you by Sebastian."

"Sebastian?"

"The head butler of this place. Do not fret as he's a kind and caring guy So you won't have any trouble interacting with him."

As Uther walked closer to the mansion while holding Kaiser in his arms, the gatekeeper noticed them and opened the door. He then stood on the side while doing a military salute.

When the gate opened a single man suited in what could be considered a butler outfit was standing and looking at Uther. The said man had black hair with few shades of gray and sharp black eyes.

He then bowed with respect to Uther "Welcome home my lord." he then looked at Kaiser "May I know who this child is, my lord?"

Uther sighed "How many times do I have to tell you to refer to me as Uther?" He then patted Kaiser's head gently "As for your question, this boy is James's son."

"Ah right, you went out of the house early to meet up with him." Sebastian then looked at Kaiser once again "The young one's condition doesn't seem to be good what has happened to him?"

"Well a few things happened but that's not important right now." Uther said tried to movd on from the subject.

Sebastian getting the hint nodded knowingly "Should I take him to a room to get some rest my lord?"

Uther pondered about it for a moment "I planned for him to meet up with the rest of the family but I guess it would be better if he rested for a bit before that." he then passed Kaiser to Sebastian "Just one thing before you go Sebastian, Treat him like how you would treat my family."

Sebastian's eyes widened for a moment before going back to normal, he then bowed to Uther and a magic circle appeared which teleported Kaiser and him to another location.

As their figure disappeared Uther looked into distance and sighed While remembering a Conversation he had with James a few years ago.

"In case something Happens to me, I want you to take care of my family in my place, you will do that for me old friend, right?" A man with black hair and red eyes asked Uther.

"Come on James why are you speaking as if you are going to die? Don't just go and place your burden on other people. It's your family so stay alive and take care of them yourself." Uther Replied

James chuckled "Don't Worry I don't plan on dying any time soon. I just was asking this from you as a reassurance."

"Even without asking me, I would have done it, also you should stop saying that stuff. you might jinx yourself."

Haha don't worry old friend, I plan on living for a long time- oh guess I did it again."

both figures then chuckled and the memory slowly faded away.

'You said that you planned living for a long time, yet you went and died just like that and left your kid to me. But don't worry I will take care of him as I promised.' Uther thought to himself.

After Sebastian used the teleportation spell, both him and Kaiser appeared in a grand room.

Kaiser's eyes roamed around the room, seeing a plush, king-sized bed that was in the center of the room, dressed in luxurious linens and adorned with an array of plump pillows. Bedside the bed was a table that held an elegant lamp that emitted a warm glow, perfect for late-night reading.

Against one wall stands a beautifully crafted wooden armoire, offering ample storage space for belongings.

A writing desk was positioned near one of the windows that offered a quiet corner to catch up on work or pen their thoughts while enjoying views of the manicured gardens outside.

"Umm is this room mine?" Kaiser asked awestruck by the size of the room.

"For now. This is just a guest room that you will be using for now till we can choose a better room for you. Also, this room has its own bathroom so feel free to use it. There are also a few clothes ready for you in the closet if you need them."

'This is over the board. if all this is just for a guest room I can't imagine what the actual rooms would look like.' Kaiser thought to himself.

"I think this room is enough for me. no need to go through such a hassle for another room."

"Is that so? well, then I will inform Lord Uther about it. I recommend you take a shower and rest young lord." He then bowed to Kaiser and before going said one last thing "Lord Uther holds you in high regard for telling me to give you the same treatment as the rest of the Pendragon family, So I hope you met up to his expectations." Then a luminous light enveloped Sebastian and he disappeared.

kaiser sighed "It's not like I would betray the person that saved me and even if I wanted to, He can easily kill me."

Kaiser looked at the bathroom door 'Taking a bath and getting some sleep is definitely what I need but before that, now that I'm alone there shouldn't be a problem if I check what I got from the system.' a blue screen appeared in front of him and he tapped on the mission option.

By raising the level of this skill, the User gains more control over mana manipulation.]

'Sweet.' Kaiser thought to himself while smiling internally.

'Do I also need to learn how these two skills work or can the system teach me? Probably not because it didn't also teach me anything about other skills. Well, I Might be lucky and Uther will teach me something related to it.'

He then walked to the bathroom 'I can relax a bit now.'

"Young master please wake up." said Sebastian as he looked down at the sleeping figure of Kaiser.

Kaiser rustled in bed and ignored Sebastian's words.

Sebastien sighed and called Kaiser again "Young master please wake up or I might use force to wake you up."

Kaiser Opened his eyes and replied with a grumpy mood that due to his expressionless face wasn't shown "Didn't you tell lord Uther that I can sleep how much I want? I'm tired."

"Indeed, I did say that but dinner is going to be served and Lord Uther personally asked me to wake you up as it would be good for you to know the rest of the Pendragon Family."

"Fine Give me a few minutes to find and change my clothes."

"No need, I have already prepared your clothes." Sebastian said while motioning towards a set of clothes that he had picked up for Kaiser. He then left the room so Kaiser could get dressed.

After a few minutes kaiser was done and stood in front of the mirror, in the mirror he could see a young boy's figure with red eyes and a neck Long black hair wearing a Black shirt with Silver colored Trousers. 'This should be good enough right? meh, who cares.'

"Young master, you look great, shall we go?" Kaiser heard as he stepped out of the room.

"Sebastian how long have you been waiting?"

"Just a few minutes, afterall I need to keep an eye on you in case something happens."

So you're stalking me. first day of my life in this family and I got a stalker, what a great start."

"Young master I hope you refrain from calling me that. I'm just looking out for you."

Kaiser dismissed him "Sure whatever you say."

Sebastian forced a smile to hide his irritation "We can go now, if you want."

Kaiser looked at Sebastian and nodded Thus both of them began walking down the mansion while Sebastian guided Kaiser and told him random things about the mansion.

After a while, they reached the dining hall. Before opening the door of the dining hall Sebastian looked at Kaiser "The family members are informed of your situation and I know it might take time for you to recover but do know that they have already accepted you as a family, so I hope you do the same."

Kaiser nodded once again and was going to say something when both of them heard a loud voice from the dining hall and the sound of something shattering "I don't like this food It has broccoli in it. I don't want it."

Both of them entered the hall and were met with a broken plate and a little girl with blonde hair pouting.

"But you need to eat them Fey or you won't grow up." said a gentle feminine voice that belonged to an elegant and beautiful lady with blonde hair who was sitting beside the girl.

"Then I don't want to grow up if I have to eat something that tastes like this." the little girl complained once again.

Kaiser looked at Sebastian "Did we come at a bad time?"

Sebastian chuckled which gained the attention of the other people in the hall "No Young master, this place is always lively around this time of the day. the young lady that you see right now Is lord Uther's second Child, Le Fey. while beside her is Lady Olivia, the one and only wife of lord Uther."

Sebastian then walked up to the dining table with Kaiser and motioned to a seat on the other side of the table which was in front of Le Fey "Please Sit here young master."

Kaiser sat on the chair and looked at the two figures that were in front of him, the older figure was looking at him with kindness and pity while the little one with a gaze full of curiosity. He looked at them without saying anything which made the mood a bit awkward.

"From what Uther told me you must be Kaiser." Olivia said with a smile, trying to break the awkward mood "You can just call me Olivia like everyone else in the family, no need for formalities as we are a family."

She then waited for Kaiser to say something which he did "Why are you treating me like this? I know lord Uther told Sebastian to treat me like a family member but why are you behaving like that with me too?"

Looking at the situation from Kaiser's point of view, having distrust about someone being kind to you for no reason specially if it's the first time you're meeting them, was a normal reaction.

Olivia understanding Kaiser's possible trail of thoughts smiled at him "I trust my husband's judgment, if he deemed someone to be part of this family then I will do as he says. But I hope you don't think it's because of that we're being with you, both Uther and I were close friends with your parents and because of what happened to them, I hope we can somewhat fill their places for you. But of course, if you're not comfortable with it, you don't need to treat us the same way just know that we will always support you."

Le Fey also nodded as a way to agree with what She said "What mama said is true. I le Fey will even let you call me little sister or Fey." she said with a cute small.

'I suddenly feel like I want to pinch her cheeks.' Kaiser thought to himself.

Shaking his head and disregard the thought he had, he asked a question that was on his mind since he entered to dining hall "Where is Lord Uther? Shouldn't he also be here with us?"

"He will come very soon, If I'm not wrong he was Teaching Arthur." Olivia said

once again the mood became awkward as Neither side had anything to talk about. A maid brought some food for Kaiser and put them in front of him. the meal consisted of Boiled Vegetables and chicken with Tomato soup.

Kaiser put the vegetables aside with his fork which earned a chuckle from Olivia and an approving smile from Le Fey as if Kaiser had done a good deed "See mama, even Big Brother doesn't like vegetables."

'Big brother? well, she did say I can call her sister and I don't mind it. Let's try something.' He then looked at Le Fey "It's not that I hate them, I just don't feel like eating vegetables today. you should eat them they are tasty, unless you want to remain small that is."

Le Fey puffed her cheeks and Looked away "Not you too." she said with an annoyed tone.

'Yep, she's Cuter when she's angry or annoyed. like how dad behaved like this with mom.' Kaiser thought and smiled sadly or tried to as his body like always didn't feel the same way as him.

"Now, eat your vegetables or I won't tell you any stories before sleep." Olivia said with a commanding tone

"Fine." Muttered Le Fey with a defeated tone.

As the mood was going to become awkward, the sound of two footsteps was heard by the three of them. "It seems you are already acquainted with each other so there is no need for me to introduce them to you."

Kaiser looked at the boy that was with Uther, he looked to be at the same age as him or a bit younger with blonde hair and blue eyes, his appearance resembled the portrait of the King Arthur that he saw on the way to the dining room.

"Allow me to introduce you to my son, Arthur, and Arthur as I told you before this young boy is Kaiser." both figures looked at each other without saying much and just nodded which prompted Uther to sigh "Looks like you two will get along sooner than I thought."

They both then sat on their respective seats, Arthur sitting beside Kaiser while Uther Sat on the seat at the head of the table. The maids quickly brought other Foods that were prepared and soon the table was filled with different kinds of meals. Uther then looked at the rest of his family "What are you all waiting for? go on start eating."

While eating, Le Fey made small talk with Uther and Olivia while Arthur and Kaiser stayed silent during most of the dinner. As everyone was almost finished eating their fill, Uther Decided to bring Kaiser into the conversation too.

"As I promised you before, Your training will start tomorrow morning. most of our training will be based on training your body to improve your physical aspects because a strong base is needed for further development and growth in future. After that we will begin your training in swordsmanship. You ok with that?"

Kaiser nodded "Can I also learn magic?" which made Le fey eyes shine.

"Is Big Brother going to be a magician like me?" Le Fey said, clearly happy that the new family member was going to be learning things that she wants to learn when she grows up.

"Well we actually don't know as it's not up to me but Olivia to teach him." Uther said while looking at his wife and waiting for her response.

"I'm fine with it as long as he listens to me and doesn't hurt himself with it. oh also I need him to do a few tests to see if has potential to be one or not."

After this they got back to eating again. after finishing the meal, the maids picked up the plates and brought dessert which made Le Fey overdose from happiness.

'Hmm Spending time with them doesn't feel bad, maybe after I get my revenge I can live happily here with them like this.'
