Chaptern 13. Ten Times the Gravity

At the foot of the mountain.

Behind their house was a large forest, and a domed building suddenly appeared out of thin air.

This structure, approximately 300 square meters in size, stood out amid the dense trees surrounding it. It was Kahn's gravity training room.

There was nothing in the training room except for a console.

"It's not very big, but it's just enough for training," Kahn remarked, surveying the area with satisfaction.

"Honey, there's nothing here. How do you practice?" Vados asked, confusion visible in her pretty face.

Kahn smiled.

"It's called a Gravity training chamber for a reason. Using the console there to multiply the gravity inside the room, by using this and applying more gravitational pressure, my training can be more intense and effective."

As he spoke, Kahn approached the console on the wall, with Vados following closely behind. After a glance at the instruction manual prepared by Bulma, Kahn realized that operating the gravity training room was very easy.

The console featured a green button for activation and a red button for deactivation, along with numbered buttons ranging from 1 to 50, corresponding to the gravity multipliers.

To set the gravity, one simply needed to press the corresponding number button. Though it looks futuristic, the console was simple and easy enough for even a novice like Kahn to operate.

Taking a deep breath to get himself ready, Kahn pressed the green start button, followed by the button for a gravity multiplier of two.

Hum!

As 2x gravity activated, Kahn immediately felt a weight on his shoulders.

"Easy," he thought.

Double the gravity of the earth posed no challenge for him, so he pressed the button for ten times the gravity directly.

In an instant, the gravity in the room increased 10 times the normal gravity, and Kahn felt the heavy pressure descend upon him.

"Hmm? Ten times gravity feels just right,"

The feeling of weight increased on his body, but he was still able to maintain his composure. This level of gravity aligned well with his current strength, which was what he needed to get more results from his training.

Suddenly, he realised, Vados was still present behind him!

In his eagerness to test the gravity training room, he had forgotten that Vados would not be able to handle ten times the gravity as he did.

This is bad!

Turning to check on Vados, Kahn was stunned to see her standing slightly beside him, as graceful as always, looking unaffected by the heavy pressure surrounding them.

"Honey, are you... alright?" he asked, really shocked.

"What?" Vados asked, it was visible from her beautiful eyes that she was confused.

Kahn was getting more shocked.

"I just increased the gravity to ten times! Don't you feel anything?"

"Oops!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Vados collapsed to the ground with a thud.

She was lying on the ground, face down, struggling to breathe.

"Husband... I can't breathe. I'm about to die!"

Kahn's heart raced. He quickly deactivated the gravity and rushed to her side, helping her up.

He gently rested Vados's head on his lap and asked urgently.

"Are you ok? Do you feel any discomfort?"

She clutched her chest, gasping.

"Honey, it hurts but it's ok now. I'm a little... a little out of breath..."

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean for this to happen!"

Kahn apologized, feeling extremely guilty. He quickly initiated artificial respiration, praying she would be okay.

Fortunately, after a few moments, Vados's breathing gradually stabilized, and Kahn's worry lessened.

After the procedure, Vados's cheeks were still flushed.

"Honey, are you okay?" Kahn asked, concern visible on his face.

"Yes, I'm fine now, husband. Don't worry," she replied softly, still a bit shy.

Kahn let out a long sigh of relief.

"But what just happened?"

He couldn't understand how Vados had seemed unaffected by increased gravity until the very last moment.

Vados rolled her eyes playfully and said,

"Maybe my reflexes are just a bit slow."

Kahn's expression turned confused.

"Your reflexes are too slow."

"okay, fine" he said, scratching his head.

"I really didn't mean to put you through that. I hope you can forgive me."

"It's alright, husband. Everyone makes mistakes. You don't have to blame yourself," Vados reassured him, her smile brightening the mood.

Kahn gazed at her, his love for her increased again to new level. Such a considerate and understanding wife was hard to find. He vowed to treat her with the more love and care she is giving him.

After a moment of silence, Kahn scooped Vados up in his arms, cradling her like a princess.

"Let me take you back to rest. I won't be training today; I'll stay with you."

"I'm fine. If you want to practice, you can," Vados replied.

She wanted Kahn to grow stronger quickly, especially with Vegeta's arrival to Earth nearly a year later. But more than that, Kahn's current abilities were insufficient, and Vados knew she couldn't teach him anything of higher caliber yet.

He needed to train his combat and body through training and fighting, not just learn new techniques.

"Like ultra instinct or ultra ego," Vados thought,

her expression shifting as she was thinking about Kahn's potential.
