1.1 A moment of stupidity

"What's a familia?" I asked aloud. Yes I who tout myself as a bad ass edgelord wannabe made the mistake of speaking aloud, not only that but I also asked a question about something definitely common sense.

"Young man, did i hear right?" I got a pat on the shoulder. I turned my head and looked down. The perhaps the buffest midg- dwarf I had ever seen.

"Uhm, sorry I'm new." Cheek scratch with pointer finger? check.

"New to the world more like." He said gruffly.

"Uh i have selective amnesia, Struggling with a condition that strips away random but normal information from my mind. I think I'm cursed!" I exclaimed. Truly when in doubt go the conveniently amnesiac protagonist route.

"Then why the hell would you want to register as an adventurer!?" He roared out. Despite his small size, he had a helluva voice.

"I...uh...forgot?" His mouth was open. Perhaps in awe at my quick witted response.

"Forgot!?" The dwarf was neither amused nor smiling. Many idiots who took things for granted and assumed adventuring was easy died. Many upcoming adventures also died. The Dungeon was unforgiving and only a fool or someone being played by the Fates could make their way here and act as I did. I realized that, or i should say recalled it a tad too late.

"GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!!" I was thrown out abruptly.

This...really did make sense. I was honestly clueless and trope knowledge aside this was reality now. Reality often times being brutally realistic just as much as it is irrational. Coming in half assed was usually a bad move. Going with the flow after a sudden and drastic shift in the story was even worse. I really did deserve gettinf booted...but like...

Now what do i do?
