Entry 6: The Class

As soon as we are at the hallway, we were approached by a man that looks like an older student.

"Freshmen, you look like someone born from an elite family. Tell me your family names."

"Family names? We do not have any family names."

Since family names are usually given to those people with wealth, we decided to not take any last names.

"Wait, are you not Pure Bloods?"

"The two of us are Bloodless."

All of a sudden, his tone changed.

"Damn, you tricked me. How dare you Bloodless creeps disguise as Pure Bloods!"

And then he left.

I did not even do anything.

"Should I kill that scum, sir?"

"Stop it. You know why he acted that way. Let us now go on our way."

But then again, this hatred is very surprising.

Right after that weird incident, we were again approached by an older student. This time it is a girl.

"I heard the two of you Bloodless."

"That is correct."

"Finally, the two of you are the final pair. My name is Alana, and I am a 4th-year bloodless student. Please follow me."

Frank and I followed the senior without any questions. The two of us were led to a small meeting room where some of our fellow Bloodless classmates are already there.

We took our seats at the back of the room. This looks like a meeting about the blocs since she asked for our classification.

"Now that all of you are complete, let me introduce myself once again. My name is Alana of Hayes and I am a 4th-year Bloodless Student. I am also the current Secretary of the Bloodless Bloc. Nice to meet all of you fellow Bloodless students."

Everyone clapped and cheered as she introduces herself.

As soon as the claps withered, the girl at the front raised her hand.

"Why are we all gathered here?"

"The thirty of you Freshmen will be formally welcomed to the Bloodless Bloc at the Bloc Meeting this Wednesday. This gathering today will serve as your First meeting with your batchmates since this is the group that you are going to be with for the next four years. You will also elect your batch's Representative that will represent your group in the Bloodless Bloc Executives."

Just as expected. The Bloc Executives already made their moves as soon as the school year begins. I would guess the other blocs are also having their own meetings.

"With that being said, why don't each one of you introduce yourselves to your fellow classmates?"

The other students then one by one stood up and shared their names and other information. To be honest, no one really caught my eye. Most of them just gave their basic information and are obviously nervous as they speak.

"Sir, are you planning on becoming the Batch Representative?"

Batch Representative is a very interesting position to have. I would receive immediate power from the start and I will be able to know more about our Bloc as well other information in this school.

"It is indeed tempting, but I won't make that jump right off the bat."

I would like to observe more before I let my presence be known.

While Frank and I were talking, someone caught the attention of everyone in the room. It is the girl that raised her hands earlier.

"Greetings fellow students. My name is Jasmine and I am from Everett, the Capital City. It would be ideal for my sake as well as the sake of all of us to elect me as our Batch Representative."

Everyone in the room was stunned by her announcement. I mean, she just stated her desire out of nowhere. Even though it was quite a surprise, she did catch my attention.

"Frank, tell me what you know about her."

"Jasmine. A local prospect here in the Capital City. Although coming from a modest background, she is one of the most brilliant students ever since her younger days. She is mainly the main prospect for adoption to Noble Families in need of competent heirs but she is also famous for rejecting all of those."

Jasmine of Everett City. A Bloodless individual that refuses to rise up via the help of Nobles. She seems like someone with great ambition. I need to keep my eye on her.

A boy in the middle of the pack stood up and ask Jasmine a question.

"With all due respect, why should we elect you as our Batch Representative?"

Frank whispered to me after the boy talked.

"That man is named Caelan. Other than Jasmine, He is one of the notable students here in the Bloodless Bloc. He is known to be a prodigy when it comes to swordsmanship. His only downside is that he is adopted. I heard that his main motivation for entering here is becoming a Knight."

"I see, looks like the two best Students in this Bloc are about to clash."

"Then may I ask if any of you in here wishes to become the Batch Representative? Why don't you raise your hands?"

Jasmine is quite clever. She knows that since this is still the first meeting, everyone is going to be timid, especially since we are relatively the underdogs out of the Three Blocs.

Just as expected no one else rose their hands, except for Caelan.

"I also wish to become the Batch Representative. Since this is supposed to be an election, why don't we have a voting procedure?"

"I agree."

Look at them deciding everything for all of us even though we are the ones that will decide who will win. This situation amuses me.

"Are you having fun, sir?"

"A little. It seems like you scouted pretty well, Frank. The two of them are indeed the best students in our Bloc."

Things were going the way for the two nominees but they were interrupted by a different student.

"I know the two of you are infamous for being child prodigies. I also don't mind selecting one of you as our leader, but would you at least introduce yourself and tell us the reason why should we vote for you before we head straight to voting?"

The tension in the room livens up as soon as those words were spoken.

"He is right."

"Tell us more about yourselves!"

"I might change my vote if I can trust you."

That man, from what I remember earlier, is named Greyson.

"Do you know anything about that man named Greyson?"

"Other than the fact that he is from Mountcastle which is where our 'hometown' is located, I do not have any prior knowledge about him, sir."

The noises faded as soon as the Fourth-Year student Alana took over.

"Okay, it seems like everyone is on board with your plans for your Representative Selection, but before that, let us finish our introductions with the fellows at the back. They are the only ones that have yet to talk."
