Entry 5: The Opening

"Who is that huge guy with a sword?"

"Oh, he must be the son of General Louis!"

"His protégé?"

I quickly called Frank.

"Frank, tell me about him."

"His name is Solomon Louis. 16 years old. 6 foot 5 inches tall. The only son of General Anthony Louis, the General of the Saravia's 2nd Army. He is ranked 27th out of the 90 students. Above Average intelligence but has a high level of Martial Ability. It has been said that at his age, he has the ability to knock out his father and when he turns 18, he surpasses General Louis when it comes to combat ability. He has the potential to become the Commander-General of the entire army of Saravia just through his combat abilities along. Although he is not as strong as you are."

Solomon Louis. His level is just right below a General of an Army. Even though some of it might be exaggerated, he still has an impressive resume. I do need a strong man to be with me in the army, but I still do not know about his leadership as well as is mindset and motivation.

"If the two of you fight, who do you think will win, Frank?"

Frank was quite surprised but immediately gained composure.

"He might have the upper hand when it comes to physical traits, but I believe in myself, Alex. I am not going to be defeated by a muscle head from an elite family."

This is what I love about Frank. His confidence is not just childish trash talk. He knows he can back it up.

"Good, that should be expected if you are going to be the next Aide of the Future King. By the way, he is part of the Pure Bloods, right? This would be tricky if I were to approach him."

"Uhmm… He is a Half-Blood."

I was fairly shocked but then I realized that he is from a family of Knights.

"Isn't he eligible for the Pure Bloods as well?"

"That is right, but I heard that he hates Elite Nobles and prefers with warriors."

I see, Solomon is indeed quite a muscle head based on this information. I need to know more about him later on.

"If Solomon is the best from the Half-Bloods, who do you think is the best for the Pure Bloods, Frank?"

"That would be Lady Charlotte, sir."

Frank chuckled as he answered my question which annoyed me a little but I know he was just joking.

"Let's continue our talk, looks like the Opening Ceremony is about to start."

A few moments later, a man that seemed like in his forties came out and took the stage. He has an average build and he wears a tuxedo and a top hat and has a very flashy moustache. A typical Gentleman Look.

"Greetings, Freshmen! Let me formally introduce myself. My name is Teacher Chester Pearce. I am the Deputy Principal of the Fevrier Academy of Excellence. I am also a Knight and a former Deputy General of the 1st Army of the Kingdom of Saravia. You may refer to me as Sir Chester."

Chester Pearce. The second in command of the Academy is a former Military Man. He seems mild-mannered at first but from what I learned from my experiences with Knights, I know that they are scary.

Knights are the highest form of recognition you can give to a Soldier here in Saravia. In order to be a Knight, you must be highly skilled and have achieved great recognition to be appointed as a Knight which is why the unofficial criteria to be a Knight is to achieve the rank of Deputy General which makes this group a very exclusive one, although there are few that became knights due to special reasons.

"Freshmen, you are all the cream of the crop of our beautiful nation, selected from a huge pool of talented young men and women. The 90 of you are the best of the best of your age and I do hope that all of you are able to survive your Four-Year Course at this Academy and exit as well accomplished Twenty-Year-old and contribute to our great nation. Once again I welcome and wish all of you Good Luck!"

The students clapped as the Deputy Principal exited the stage.

After that, a Female in her twenties took his place. It seems like she is a teacher.

"Good Day, Freshmen. My name is Anaya Rees. You can call me Miss Anaya. I am the Saravia History Teacher. I am here to give all of you a brief rundown of your schedules. Please give them the papers."

After her instructions, the staff handed us what looks like to be our schedule.

The schedule was Theoretical Subjects in the morning while the Applied Subjects are in the afternoon. Surprisingly, Wednesdays have a different purpose. It is for the Blocs.

"I think the Blocs means the different groups, sir."

"I do think so as well. Wait, I told you to stop calling me sir."

"I am sorry, but it is quite hard to break a habit… Sir…"

"Tsk. Fine, you may call me sir but only when they are the two of us. Call me Alex in any other situation."

"Yes, sir! That feels way better!"

The two of us stopped talking and paid attention to the Female Teacher.

"Your schedule as Freshmen is pretty straightforward as you can see. The only thing I need to explain to you is Wednesday which is about the Blocs. I know all of you entered this Academy knowing what the situation is inside. You all entered as Pure Bloods, Half Bloods, and Bloodless. Wednesdays are dedicated just for that matter. You will know more about it this Wednesday when you have your Bloc Meetings."

This school takes this Class divide to another level. I never expected this to be that important.

"Anyways since it is all your first day, you won't have any classes for today. You may take this day off and do whatever you want. Classes start tomorrow. You are now dismissed."

And just like that, the Opening Ceremony ended.

The students one by one exited the Auditorium. I hear them discuss their plans for the day. Some wanted to hang out and explore the campus. Others want to study. Some want to train.

"What are our plans for the day, sir?"

"Me? I would not mind exploring the campus since we have nothing to do yet."

As soon as we are in the hallway, we were approached by a man that looks like an older student.

"Freshmen, you look like someone born from an elite family. Tell me your family names."
