Devil's Satisfaction

PROLOGUE

After a mysterious energy shift occurred at the end of the 22nd century, the world entered a new era; the era of wildness, ferociousness, and savageness.

All animals mutated and underwent changes in size a dozen times larger than their original sizes, making them turn into fierce and terrifying beasts, without exception for animals that were initially small such as ants.

This might sound like the worst nightmare the event could give, considering the human race couldn't move freely until now and remained isolated on an island…

But the same major event has also caused most of humanity to mutate into superhumans; some of them activated magic power; some became Vampires; and some became mindless Zombies. And in fact, this was the worst of it all.

At first, the Magicians and Vampires worked together to exterminate the Beasts and Zombies. They also fought for the humans who did not mutate and remained regular humans. But after successfully eliminating all the Zombies within 20 years, the Vampires and Magicians stopped uniting their forces due to some major internal conflicts.

After that, the Vampires and most of the unmutated humans moved to an island named Aina, which they had 'cleaned' of the Zombies and Beasts before. On this island, they created a new civilization and restarted everything.

Later on, 4 kingdoms were formed on the island, all created and ruled by the Vampires.

Roman, a human teenager, was born 500 years after the civilization began. At first, he was just a regular slave (how humans without superpowers were seen today). Just like humans in general, he spent his entire life serving the Vampires and following their orders.

Since his childhood, Roman has had a great desire to free humans from slavery that had lasted for nearly 500 years. For him, history couldn't be changed. However, the relationship between Vampires and humans could still go back as it was 500 years ago when everyone helped each other, and nobody took advantage of powers and situations to gain control over one party.

It was what he believed, and at the same time, what he had shouted hundreds of times since he was 4.

His dream might sound impossible, until one night changed everything...

Chapter 1

"Hey, Grandpa… can I ask you something?" Roman said to an old man lying not far on his right side with his back facing him. The 17-year-old boy, who was also lying down, was talking while looking in awe at the star-studded night sky.

"Come on… I know you're still awake," he continued shortly after. He also turned his head to the right as he said that.

Tonight Roman and the old man had a night watch task, so the two of them slept on the terrace of the planked barracks and would take turns night watching, starting with Roman first, while the old man would take the opportunity to rest during Roman's night watching.

Other slaves? They all rested. Out of 10 barracks and a total of more than 200 people, only 2 were on guard every night on two shifts.

"Huh…" the old man sighed quite long before stopping lying down with his back to Roman.

"This is the one thousand five hundred and thirty-sixth time I've told you to stop calling me that...'' said the old man named Phil with his eyes fixed on the night sky.

"But-"

"First, I'm not your grandfather. I just happened to find you in the trash, then decided to take care of you, not as a son or grandson, but as a friend," Phil immediately interrupted Roman, who was about to 'file' his 429th protest regarding this matter.

"Secondly, people still say I look like Levi Ackerman, so basically, I still look fresh," Phil added soon after.

"....." Roman was speechless upon hearing and seeing Phil, but the silence and expression on his face said a lot.

"You're sixty-nine," Roman said seconds later.

"And so far, literally no one has said that you look like Levi Ackerman. In fact, I hear a lot of people say that you look gay," he continued.

"Never tasted a pussy since my birth doesn't mean I'm gay... sometimes a real man is just waiting for the right time to bang," Phil stated with a confident smile. He also said it while sitting up.

"..."

"Phil, you're sixty-nine," Roman replied.

"Exactly."

"Huh?" Roman furrowed his brows.

"Sixty-nine for a reason," Phil added, turning to Roman.

Roman, of course, didn't take long to understand the meaning of Phil's words.

The boy then took a deep, long breath, showing his great enthusiasm. He immediately sat up with a facial expression that supported his excitement.

"You're going to do it?! You're going to a brothel?!" Roman asked with a beaming face.

Without saying anything, Phil gave a clear answer just by raising and lowering his right eyebrow twice.

Roman's enthusiasm quickly increased ten times after seeing Phil's response, but only 2 seconds later, the excitement was free falling to the bottom of the Earth.

"Wait… you purposely planned to do it when I can't come with you?" Roman asked with a hint of disappointment on his face.

"Roman, you're seventeen-"

"But that's not fair! You promised to take me if you end up going to a brothel!"

"It was a promise I was forced to make because you kept pushing me to promise. I'm not that insane to let you come with me if I end up going to a brothel," Phil explained casually.

"Okay, now who gives a damn about age? I mean, even those Vampires made children into slaves. And, and… I already have the physique of a grown man; my age doesn't matter. You even admitted that I might get a much better boner than you-"

"It's not just about your age and appropriateness for such things, Roman. If it were just those two things, I wouldn't mind taking you with me at all…

And to be honest, I've almost never had a boner again," Phil interrupted Roman… in a voice barely audible at the last sentence.

"You do realize that we humans are also forbidden to go to brothels, right? All forms of entertainment are only for Vampires; humans are mere slaves who can do nothing but serve Vampires. If a human tried to break the rules, they would immediately execute that person in front of other humans.

I did tell you that I have a secret way of getting into a brothel safely, but I didn't tell you that my success rate is less than one percent," Phil continued. He spoke pretty seriously.

"Then? Is that supposed to change anything? I'm just a kid you happened to find in the trash. I'm nothing. You shouldn't worry about my safety," Roman said.

Hearing that, Phil chuckled as he looked back up at the sky.

"I'm not worried about your safety… I'm worried about the safety of humankind," Phil replied, smiling again.

"Uh?" Roman looked quite surprised at what Phil had just said.

"What? You forgot about your biggest dream that you've shouted seven hundred and forty-two times? It's been a bit rare lately for you to shout your wish to free humanity from slavery, but I won't forget my count," Phil said. He looked at Roman again at the same time.

"Thirty-nine shouts when you were four, fifty-three when you were five, sixty-six when you were six, one hundred and one when you were seven, eighty-eight when you were eight, one hundred and twenty-four when you were nine…

One hundred and two when you were ten, sixty-one when you were eleven, forty when you were twelve, thirty-seven when you were thirteen, eleven when you were fourteen, fifteen when you were fifteen, four when you were sixteen, and only one throughout your seventeenth year of living so far," Phil added.

'I'm sure Levi Ackerman would feel humiliated if he knew this old man thought he looked like him. Even an Abnormal Titan would feel the same way,' Roman thought.

"Whatever. Just do whatever you want," Roman said as he lay back down, staring at the stars.

"So you're not coming with me?" Phil asked, making sure.

"No, you're right. Saving humanity number one, I can get a pussy any time after that," Roman replied casually.

"Heh." Phil smiled.

"That's how a man speaks," he continued.

"Alright, I'll be right back. Don't tell anyone about this." Phil then got up and prepared to go to a brothel. Roman didn't say anything in response.

"Hey…" but the boy suddenly called Phil when the old man had walked three steps away from the barrack, causing him to look back.

"What if you die?" Roman asked as he sat up again.

"Then you must remember that I died a virgin." Phil gave a simple answer.

"Huh? Why?" Roman made sure.

"I don't know… I just think that sounds pretty cool," Phil replied.

'This old man is weird…' Roman thought. He didn't even know what else to think about in response to Phil's reply.

"Alright." Roman closed their conversation there afterward. He laid back down and let Phill go on this starry night.
