Chapter 6

In Mortal world.........

What a nice day... warm sunny breeze. It feels very like home. I am working on a new project that is adding sweets to my coffee shop. I have some ideas like recreating the new recipes and creating recipes for old sweets that were made by my grandparents. I want to eat the sweets exactly as my parents made them.

Oh, I did not say that I have a big sweet tooth. I loved to eat and make sweets when I was young. After my mother died, sweets remind me of her. So I quit eating sweets. Even I had sweet tooth. As I had peace with her death. I always had a gut feeling that my mother is alive, she has not died. I don't know why but, I somehow felt that she is alive.

You know what. The past few months were very hectic. First, I got fired from the company. Then, my father died and became the landlady of the portal to the underworld. It feels like that this is my destined to do.

My coffee shop is going well. The customers are happy. I have a few regular people who came to shop to drink coffee.

One day, a handsome man visits the shop. I was away from the shop. So he asked my assistant to forward that he wants to meet me in person. What a headache. I am busy with the shop and stay and balancing both of them. What a pain. But I will him as he wants.

Today, I will meet him. I don't know why I feel nervous. I feel shudders down my spine even on a sunny day.

The man is dressed in a black suit. He looks amazing and I drool at his sight. He was sitting at one of the tables while drinking coffee.

" You are here at last, Landlady. I have been waiting for you so long".

" I was busy with my shop. I apologize for the inconvenience and coffee is on house. Mister".

I ask my assistant to bring another cup of coffee. After a few sips of the drink, he starts, " I am here to warn you that you are in danger. Be cautious of whom you are acquainted with. I am warning you. Don't get easily influenced by the souls".

After hearing him say that. I stand up. " How do you know that I deal with departed souls. I didn't tell anybody. How do you know that". I tried to ask more questions.

BOOOOM

Thud

I ran toward the sound and saw Joy fall and crush the coffee machine. His hand has turned in a weird angle. From my observation, it's broken. I ask tina to help me to send him to the hospital.

After this accident, I see my customer is gone. So mysterious. I have many questions that I have to ask him.

Why did he address me as a landlady but not as a shop owner?

How did he know about souls?

What was he asking to be cautious about?

What danger?

I hope that I get my answers to my question very soon...
