Chapter 7: System Awakened

He returned to the awakening room only to witness another shock that nearly gave me a heart attack.

Eden particles surrounded him and started vibrating like welcoming their chosen one.

Even the tower hummed slightly and the Eden flowing around the tower became vibrant and danced wildly.

"Wha-" A holographic screen appeared in front of him before he could complete his sentence.

[Ding! World Resonance Detected..]

[Ding! Mission completed…]

[Activating Deceitful System]

[Deceiving the World Laws..]

[Deception Successful..]

[Deceitful System Successfully activated..]

The surrounding chaos returned to its normal state. He became paler than before after imagining the chaos it would cause all over the world after this news spread.

"This is troublesome.." He heard a sigh as he along with his parents got teleported before an ordinary-looking office. The tower master was sitting on her chair while intensely gazing at him.

He tried feigning ignorance towards her gaze and looked around.

"Sit," she ordered and we sat on the chair next to us.

" Don't worry, I have erased the memories of everyone present on the tower," she explained and my face lit up instantly.

" Now," she clapped.

" Tell me,"

Loki had a troubled look on his face as he debated whether to tell her the truth or not. Meh... Don't wanna risk getting on her bad side as she looks quite powerful.

" Well, I got a blessing from a powerful being and now I have to run errands for him till he's satisfied," He remarked with a solemn face as he remembered the conversation.

"Hmm… I won't ask for what errands you have or who the powerful being was. Let's get to the main topic." she exclaimed with a serious face which made me tense.

" Agree to this condition of mine and consider your debts settled," she responded.

" What debts and what condition?" I coughed and inquired.

" The debts of erasing everyone's memory here and keeping my mouth shut regarding today's matter." She smirked.

"Don't worry your parents will tell you about my condition so you can leave now." she mused with a playful smile as she snapped her finger and he disappeared from the office.

( By the way, William and Amelia have been asleep in the room since their memories were changed instead of erased.)

Loki appeared in the waiting room where Kiara and Bella were asleep.

He mumbled curses at Lily then hurriedly checked his system.

"Status"

(After awakening, everyone gets their own status screen that reflects their abilities, affinities, and skills they've awakened.)

Loki gasped after witnessing the abilities provided by the System. Every ability was overpowered in its way. Maybe, I am The Chosen One. Who knows?!..

While Loki was feeling giddy and blessed, He got teleported to Lily's office again.

This time his parents were awake and everyone was looking at him.

"Son, we've decided to engage you with Tower Master Lily's granddaughter Athena. What's your decision?" Amelia inquired with a serious gaze.

He looked at Lily's face and noticed a smirk. 'Your granddaughter better be a beauty otherwise I will curse you for the rest of my life.' He thought while acting like he was seriously pondering it.

"Alright," he replied.

"William and Amelia, you both can wait in the waiting room. I got something to discuss with him." Lily teleported them.

"I forgot to tell you, How much do you know about blessing? No. How much do you know about this world?" 

"Just some basic information. Nothing much." He pondered and honestly answered.

"Listen carefully." Lily started her explanation with a serious face.

"The world is divided into 6 eras.

Pre-historic Era:

Humans lived in the Antarctic Continent. The civilization was in the developing phase with new technologies appearing from time to time. Humans ruled the continent with no traces of other races or civilizations.

The Great Calamity:

The continents of Eldoria started to merge. Various races emerged from other continents with some being kind and curious while others being chaotic and malicious. A great was issued between multiple races including Humans which spawned for centuries. 

New Dawn Era:

The First generation of Heroes emerged from this era. They ended the centuries-old war by forming alliances with multiple races and creating a Multi-Race Alliance. Humans allied with Elves, Dwarves, Beastmen, etc, and defeated the Asuras, sending them far north from the main continent Arcania. It's called the New Dawn because Humans using the knowledge of other races created their own way of harnessing and utilizing Eden during this era.

Catastrophic Era:

Another Great war occurred between multiple races due to some misunderstanding that nearly led to the annihilation of multiple races including Humans.

Void Era: 

Not much is known about this era except that The Second Generation Heroes emerged in this era and single-handedly stopped the complete annihilation of the said race. The technologies rapidly evolved in this era due to the help of the Heroes. They created a new AI called Cynthia to oversee the whole Multi-Race Alliance and prevent another Catastrophic Era from happening.

Victorian Era:

This is the current Era. The technologies are far more developed today and the living standards of people have also changed rapidly.

You might be wondering why I'm telling you all this. Well, The heroes that emerged during 3rd and 5th era were all individuals blessed by gods. And The last individual to be blessed by a god was during the Void Era.

The emergence of blessing indicates that the world will soon be in great turmoil and You have a great responsibility ahead of you." 

" Alright, I called you to inform you about the heavy responsibility that you have received. You can leave now." Lily announced as she shooed him away.

" Ohh… by the way my granddaughter is very beautiful just like me so don't get charmed easily." She playfully chuckled and teleported him away.
