The next day.
Anton walked out of the hotel, feeling refreshed and basking in the joy of his gambling winnings. He boarded the plane for his return trip.
Natasha, as expected, was right by his side.
The women who had spent the night playing mahjong with him left the hotel one by one, all smiling radiantly, ready to take on their next jobs.
Although they had lost money, they gained Anton promise of roles in DC films.
Even if it was just as decorative characters, it was enough to take their careers to the next level.
Becoming a film star was like standing at the apex of the entertainment industry.
It was a position most could only look up to.
…
On the other side.
Tony rose early to undergo a physical examination by his private doctor.
After confirming that his body was in perfect health, especially his brain, Tony returned to his underground private lab to continue researching his Iron Man suit.
After interacting with Anton, and considering Anton "impressive performance," Tony temporarily put aside his curiosity and investigations regarding Batman.
For Tony, the most urgent task was to wipe out the brutal thugs in the Gomira area.
Second, he needed to conduct a covert internal investigation.
Tony was determined to uncover who within Stark Industries had the audacity to sell weapons to those vile terrorists.
In truth, he already had a suspect in mind.
Reflecting on how his influence within Stark Industries had nearly eroded recently…
Company veteran Obadiah Stane had essentially sidelined him within the board, continuing to expand the weapons division…
Tony found it hard to believe this conclusion.
But, once he had some free time, he would uncover the truth and resolve the matter!
…
On a private plane .
Natasha sat behind Anton, watching the back of his head. Her expression remained neutral, but her suspicion grew stronger.
Anton actions seemed entirely inconsistent with someone like Batman, who exuded the aura of a king descending upon the world.
Of course, there was still a chance it was all an elaborate act.
Natasha thought carefully, recalling their interactions over the past few days. If Anton truly was pretending, he was an incredibly talented actor.
Another possibility was that this could be Batman true nature!
Before long, the two disembarked at New York Airport.
By the time they took a car and returned to DC Studios, it was already afternoon.
Soon, it would be the end of the workday.
Anton wondered if he should invite Natasha to the bar again tonight.
Suddenly, Natasha knocked on his office door.
"Boss, someone wants to see you."
Her tone was calm.
"Who?"
Anton narrowed his eyes, noticing a trace of something unusual in Natasha seemingly normal tone.
"He said his name is Coulson, and he an old friend of yours."
Natasha replied.
"Let him in," Anton said, nodding as he gave Natasha a deep look. His expression didn't betray his thoughts, but his eyes carried a subtle meaning.
Before long, a man with a noticeably high hairline appeared in Anton office.
Natasha tactfully stayed outside, closing the door and standing guard.
"Anton, we meet again," Coulson greeted with a polite smile. He spoke candidly, "This time, I'm here about the Lizard and Green Goblin."
"That the sort of thing you should take up with Batman. What does it have to do with me, Anton?"
Anton countered, his tone relaxed. He leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, chin raised, exuding an air of dominance.
"Then when can I meet Batman?"
Coulson smile remained gentle.
It was rare to see the aggressive side of S.H.I.E.L.D. in him.
Perhaps it was Coulson personal charm that made his "death" during the Battle of New York so much more significant.
In the original storyline, if it had been Nick Fury who bit the dust, Iron Man, Captain America, and the others would likely have been too busy squabbling over leadership to care.
Even in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, when Nick Fury was presumed dead, aside from Hawkeye and Black Widow, the others were merely shocked, at most a little regretful—few showed any real sorrow.
"I'll arrange a meeting for you."
Anton remained calm and, after some thought, said lightly, "But he might not be very eager to see you right now."
"Alright," Coulson nodded. "I'll be in New York for the next two weeks, hoping Batman will contact me. I have something very important to discuss with him."
Two weeks?
Anton suddenly remembered Obadiah words at Tony party, mentioning that the public demonstration of the "Artificial Sun" was scheduled for two weeks from now.
Could S.H.I.E.L.D. have received this information in advance?
Or was their real target not the "Artificial Sun" itself but Obadiah Stane, who held high expectations for the experiment?
After a brief moment of reflection, Anton glanced at Coulson, feeling as though the man words carried a hidden meaning.
And after a few simple exchanges, Coulson was confident that his message would reach Batman.
With that, Coulson took his leave.
Immediately afterward, Natasha entered the office.
"Boss, Cyborg is a box office hit! Its global revenue has already surpassed $300 million!"
She delivered the good news to Anton.
Anton glanced at Cyborg fan count, which had reached 12.62 million.
Less than 8 million more to go, and Cyborg would be fully realized.
"How the promotional campaign going recently?" Anton asked casually.
"Cyborg has sparked widespread interest within the Black community. Many feel that having a Black lead in a superhero film is a very positive move. Public opinion is currently very optimistic about Cyborg performance," Natasha explained before pausing.
"Several box office sites have raised their domestic projections for Cyborg to $700 million, with a global estimate of $1 billion!"
"Not bad," Anton replied.
Though he didn't have strong feelings about the Black community, he had to acknowledge and appreciate their support.
He then asked, "How Green Arrow doing?"
"With focused promotion, Green Arrow has seen a significant surge in performance. The profits from the past few days are roughly equivalent to the total earnings of the previous month," Natasha reported.
Although DC Studios had only recently been established and wasn't yet a large enterprise, its existing works, led by the already popular Batman, showed immense potential.
Especially Green Arrow, whose similarities in concept to Batman allowed him to bask in the latter glow.
When one person ascends, everyone benefits.
Furthermore, the Cyborg film post-credits scene hinting at the Justice League had fans who were already paying attention to DC Studios buzzing with excitement.
They could tell that DC Studios intended to link its works together to form a superhero team.
The Justice League!
The name had already been teased in the post-credits scene.
And the prospect of Batman and Cyborg—two major superheroes—meeting on screen ignited everyone imagination.
Plus, there was the revelation of an alien invasion in the post-credits scene!
Darkseid!
Who could that be?
This was so cool!!
Everyone was on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating DC Studios' interconnected films.
"Got it. You can leave now let me have some quiet time," Anton said.
He rubbed his temples, looking as though he was about to yawn, his face devoid of energy.
Once Natasha had left the room, Anton returned to his usual composure. Looking at the system panel before him, a smile crept onto his lips.
Of course, he knew that Green Arrow numbers had grown impressively.
No one could receive faster feedback than him.
Because in recent days, every moment, the fan count for Green Arrow had been climbing steadily.
Green Arrow Fan Count: 10.23 million.
This meant his next persona was already ready!
