[Redeem the Green Arrow template?]
[Redeem!]
With a thought, Anton mind was flooded with new information.
Oliver Queen was born into the wealthiest family in Star City, the Queen family, which controlled the billion-dollar empire, Queen Industries.
Originally a carefree and reckless playboy, he ended up stranded on an island after a shipwreck.
To survive, he learned archery and combat skills. Later, using an opportunity when a pirate ship docked, he defeated the pirates and used their ship to return to America. Upon his return to Star City, Oliver became the superhero Green Arrow and eventually joined the Justice League.
The island where Green Arrow was stranded was called "Purgatory."
Of course, Green Arrow time on the island wasn't just about survival; there were many twists and turns in his story.
In short, Anton now had the ability to transform into Green Arrow.
Since he now possessed two hero templates, [2], the system granted him a new skill for free.
Clone!
Anton could transform into Green Arrow himself.
Alternatively, he could separate the Green Arrow identity into an independent entity.
The clone would have all of Anton memories, act autonomously, and make its own judgments, while also sharing a mental connection with Anton.
Furthermore, Anton could transfer his consciousness to the clone at any time.
However, maintaining a clone would continuously consume fan value.
It was essentially a time-based in-app purchase feature.
Anton knew the system wouldn't give him benefits without a catch. Wasn't this just the quintessential greedy business model?
Fortunately, Green Arrow upkeep wasn't too expensive.
Maintaining a Green Arrow clone for one hour required consuming 100,000 fan points.
Once the fan points were depleted, the Green Arrow clone would automatically disappear.
Of course, if Anton transformed into Green Arrow himself, it wouldn't cost any fan points.
Batman upkeep was much more extravagant.
Maintaining a Batman clone for one hour required 500,000 fan points—12 million fan points for a whole day.
That was more expensive than redeeming the Batman template in the first place!
By comparison, Green Arrow, at 100,000 points per hour and 2.4 million per day, was far more economical.
It was clear that the stronger the hero, the more fan points their upkeep would require.
For instance, Superman clone upkeep would undoubtedly be astronomical.
[Green Arrow Fan Point Balance: 230,000]
At the rate of 100,000 per hour, with the rule that partial hours were billed as full, Anton could currently maintain a Green Arrow clone for two hours.
"I wonder how expensive Cyborg clone upkeep will be..."
Anton pondered for a moment.
Green Arrow cost 10 million, with a 100,000/hour upkeep.
Batman cost 50 million, with a 500,000/hour upkeep.
So, Cyborg, priced at 20 million, would likely have a 200,000/hour upkeep.
Not entirely unreasonable.
Thinking about it, once the Justice League was fully established, three of its members would essentially be him.
And if the original DC Justice League came together, all seven of its core members would also be him.
If the Justice League implemented a voting system, following the rule of majority wins, even if Spider-Man, Venom, Daredevil, and the four Ninja Turtles were added, each with one vote, it would still be a tie.
A single glance from Batman to Venom would tip the scale to 8-6.
Who would run the Justice League?
I would!
Anton grinned at the thought and snapped back to reality, realizing it was already the end of the workday.
The evening light streamed into the office, serene and beautiful.
He opened the office door to find only a few people working late, likely planning to finish up before heading home.
"Anton, see you tomorrow!"
Natasha greeted him as he stepped out of the office, swaying her hips as she left the company.
Watching her leave, Anton narrowed his eyes, recalling Coulson earlier visit.
He truly wasn't interested in forming overly close ties with S.H.I.E.L.D. at the moment.
S.H.I.E.L.D. was riddled with its own problems.
Nick Fury didn't even realize he was surrounded by Hydra.
Looking across the entire organization, there seemed to be only a handful of genuinely good people:
Nick Fury, Phil Coulson, Maria Hill, Hawkeye, and Black Widow.
Beyond these five, whom you could count on one hand, Anton saw no other trustworthy individuals within S.H.I.E.L.D.
Anyone could be "Hydra."
The way Hydra infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D. was like undercover cops joining a gang—only for the gang to eventually become entirely composed of cops, with the exception of the boss.
What kind of nonsense is that?
Until Hydra full exposure and S.H.I.E.L.D. cleaned house, Anton wasn't considering further collaboration with them.
It was best to stay in their respective lanes.
If necessary, maintaining a superficial relationship would suffice.
In the earlier Kingpin incident, Anton had handed it over to S.H.I.E.L.D. solely because Kingpin influence in New York was too vast.
Throwing Kingpin into a regular prison wouldn't mean incarceration—it would be a vacation.
Letting S.H.I.E.L.D., with its fearless stance, handle it ensured no worries about retaliation from Kingpin or backlash from bribed New York politicians.
It was a win-win.
Moreover, Kingpin had dealings with Stark Industries.
Since S.H.I.E.L.D. was already investigating Obadiah, having them address related issues made perfect sense.
But regarding the Lizard and Green Goblin, Anton had his own plans.
S.H.I.E.L.D. interest likely extended beyond those two—they probably aimed to strengthen their ties with Batman.
Anton figured Fury was trying to recruit Batman into his envisioned Avengers Initiative.
However, that conflicted entirely with Anton own plans.
"It time to have a proper chat with S.H.I.E.L.D.," Anton muttered to himself.
He returned to his office and looked out the window toward the street.
Natasha exited the building.
At the same time, a taxi conveniently appeared at the front entrance.
Anton noticed Natasha always took taxis home. It crossed his mind that this particular cab was likely connected to S.H.I.E.L.D.
Recalling Coulson arrival in New York today, Anton speculated that Black Widow would probably meet with him after work to report on her recent undercover activities.
Quickly descending the stairs, Anton followed.
Having inherited Bruce Wayne tracking techniques, it was effortless to tail the cab Natasha was in.
Both Hawkeye and Natasha were top-tier agents with strong counter-surveillance skills.
After trailing for a while, Anton casually parked his car by the roadside.
He flagged down another taxi and tossed the driver a wad of cash.
"Drive my car home for me. I'll take your cab instead, and all this money is yours. Figure out how to get another car tomorrow. That won't be too hard for you, right?"
"Not at all! Not at all!"
The middle-aged white cabbie grinned ear to ear at the sight of the money, accepting immediately without hesitation, finding no issue with the prospect of retrieving a new vehicle later.
Anton swapped cabs and resumed the pursuit.
A short while later—
In a Brooklyn neighborhood.
Anton watched Natasha step out of the taxi and enter a building.
The cab Natasha had ridden in naturally parked in a nearby lot.
Moments later—
A familiar man stepped out of the cab.
He glanced around casually before following Natasha into the building.
Clint Barton.
Also known as Hawkeye!
