The other students watched as a "6,4" dark-skinned boy walked from the bleachers to confront the other boy and his friend. Taking off his jacket, you could see a semblance of defined muscles, and toned features. The young man had a pack of 8, as you could see two rolls of four packets on his stomach.
The sound of some girls cheering could be heard from the other side of the gym. But the boys did not flinch as they stopped forgetting about the game going one.
Everyone watched them duke it out. Seeing if the new kid could go toe to toe with the Spartans.
"I can give you guys a minute to rest, cause this won't take long." I said,
"Yeah you won't get past me, I'm too fast, for yeah buddy" the brown skinned boy known to be Tyler said.
Going to the top of the key, Aiden started dribbling the basketball to the half court line. Moving it around waiting for the boys to get ready. Once they did they looked at him with determination.
"Soo, play by ones or two's?" Aiden said.
"One's" the boy I assumed as Connor said.
"Full or half" moving on to the next.
"Half" Ben promoted.
"five or ten" Aiden said, lastly.
"Like you said, this will be a short game, 5" the boy Tyler said. As his overconfidence exhumed from his body.
"Ok, I got the ball, yah ready?" Aiden said, waiting for their nods.
They all agreed, but I smirked in their faces, checking the ball before looking back at them, as they all stood close to the basket.
"What you smiling at punk" Ben said.
Aiden quickly got annoyed, but smiled. "You punks, left me too much room." as he jumped and shot the ball in their faces.
From almost half court, the ball sailed into the net, as if it was the most natural thing, giving Aiden two points.
Everyone just looked at Aiden in amazement. Even Connor, Tyler, and Ben looked wondering what just happened.
"That's two, half way to go" Aiden said moving to the defensive position. As another boy on the sidelines passed the ball to Ben.
They checked the ball again as Ben passed the ball to Connor on the left side of the court. As Connor almost looked to shoot but went in to do a layup.
The ball sailed on to the backboard, almost dropping into the basket. But quickly a dark blur, came up and smacked the ball off the backboard to the three point-line as Ben chased after the ball but was unable to get it.
Aiden came out of nowhere scoping the ball up, and moving back toward the basket. Ben was still stunned but got back on defense.
As Aiden dribbled the ball made his way through Tyler in a defensive stance ready to guard Aiden, as Connor on the other side did the same.
Aiden faked as he was going right, Tyler caught it, and positioned himself. But Aiden did it again to the other side. But Connor tried to go in for a steal as he saw an opportunity.
But that was just a ploy, as Aiden dribbled the ball through his own legs and spun around Connor. He was now in position to the hoop.
As in one swift motion, he threw the ball off of the backboard, jumping to meet it in the air. Moving the ball behind his back and through his legs, as he with one hand slams the ball through the hoop.
The coach blows the whistle that he had on his chest, signaling for the gym to quiet down and stop what they are doing.
Everyone entertained, well class has ended. Everyone, hit the showers." he said, pointing to the locker room. All the students started heading in that direction getting ready for their next class.
"Hey, game ain't over with, till next time" Tyler said, running to the locker room. As Ben, and Connor followed.
The coach walked over to Aiden, and looked at him.
Well that was impressive kid, but would you like to join the Forks Spartans? He said, trying to scout Aiden.
"Sorry Sir, but no, I already have a team, and I gave it up a long time ago." He said, as he whipped the little sweat from his forehead, and walked out of the gym door to his next class.
