Chapter20: Battle of kings

Meanwhile at the absence of Densetsu King Darkus and King Lation had began their battle.

The battle of kings.

Using nothing but their fists it was clear that annihilation was at the advantage.

King Darkus is that of a regular zeon even if he is a king so what chance does he stand against someone who has ruled for over three generations.

"You know Darkus I have fought against your father and his before him, so why do you think you'll stand any chance if your predecessors did not?" King Lation proudly questioned.

King Darkus remained silent paying no attention to annihilation's words.

King Darkus managed to teleport just above annihilation, slamming his fists upon the opposing king's skull.

Finally landing a decent blow Darkus responded to King Lation's previous question "I will not fall like those before me as I am...".

But before Darkus could finish...

Annihilation had snapped his leg and swung him into the army of corpses.

"Oh I really wish I let you finish oh well" annihilation spoke before catapulting himself towards Darkus.

Luckily the massacred cushioned Darkus' landing and as he dragged himself up he saw...

The titanic body of king Lation approaching.

Landing annihilation fractured king Darkus' last leg remaining.

Dragging him back up by his hair, tearing the skin from the top of his head the king of annihilation gave one last disappointed remark "even the kings before you put up more of a fight for their people".

And soon a golden armour enveloped Darkus' body in which annihilation grinned with hope that this fight is not just quite over yet.

And Darkus used the release known as chaos beam but surprisingly it had no effect.

And soon the voice of king Darkus could be heard once again "I am not of the same making as those weaklings I am the true king, I am king of kronen and now I will show you all that I have to offer".

And soon after his voice faded two golden broad daggers appeared stuck into Lation's shoulders, in which his arms dropped releasing Darkus.

Next came another set of weapons, two bearded axes which were cut into annihilation's achilles tendons, causing the titan to drop to his knees.

king Darkus spoke his stance that of a executioner "and finally this is the day of your execution you monster".

And one final weapon appeared the sword of a berserker.

Darkus swung the blade, energy rippling off of the golden blade's edge.

But moments before it cut into annihilation's neck the blade was crushed.

Annihilation had used the fourteenth ability healing all of his wounds almost instantly.

King Lation spoke his voice dull and uncaring "You should of known that I am unkillable you might have some fancy techniques but did you really think yourself to be a cut above the rest, pathetic".

King Darkus has developed two techniques and when pared he takes away all of his weaknesses.

The names of these techniques are king's armour and king's arsenal.

King's armour is a technique that coats the user's body in armour that nullifies half of all energy that hits it but physical attacks deal double damage against the user.

And king's arsenal is a technique that allows the user to create up to six weapons of any kind that can only be wielded by the user.

These weapons nullify half of any target's physical resistance when they cut into them but the weapons take double damage from energy based attacks such as releases.

"You know I'm a master of the sword? Its probably the most commoner thing about me" Darkus informed as he created his final weapon of the six, a broad sword of glistening gold.

And with this both kings stood on equal level and as their eyes met uncontrollable amounts of rage and hate welled up inside king Lation.

But king Darkus waited for no one in his assault.

And as he brought the endlessly shinning blade to annihilation the battle was decided...

The blade was crushed just like the berserker sword before it, by king Lation, by the king of annihilation the man who destroys all he sees.

To Put a halt to Gaku's trail of death, Darkus was thrown into his path unwillingly of course.

And soon afterwards annihilation appeared taking hold of his brother while his voice was hateful his face was emotionless "come brother were leaving this place, Tyger pick up what remains of Dieregi".

And so the forces from cryptos fled the area but it was clear that they were the victors.

But everyone who witnessed today's battle knew that a change was coming...

Today Densetsu the warrior of legend showed that overload zeons can be useful, that they can be the strongest.
