Chapter15: The curse mark

A full day has passed and the group containing The brutal warrior, Shirogane, Kibar and Hikaru have made a small camp on top of warrior's peak.

This camp is nothing special only a quick and easy made fire and a few bags to sleep, but they need not for luxury.

And so night drew itself near and with that Kenta, the brutal warrior decided that this is the time to teach all he knows of the curse that effects each and every member of the zeon race.

"My students there is a lot for you too learn, if you were raised alongside other zeons then this would not have been a problem but your about to learn what took one hundred and forty thousand years of suffering to learn in just three months".

Shirogane questioned his father, as if they could learn so much in such a short time.

Earth's guardian thought it better to learn specific parts of their curse but he soon realised that without knowing them all they could not wish to reach their full potential and kill Uzunami.

With that realisation Shirogane backed down from his argument allowing for Kenta to continue.

And so all three students listened although some more interested then others.

Kenta told them all about the fourteen curse mark abilities known, which range from empowering their strength all the way to healing their body.

Starting with the first one known as imperial strength, this ability amplifies all of the user's physical attributes such as speed, strength and resistance, the increase depends on the user's mastery of this ability just as it does for many of the other abilities.

Next is known as physical mirage which allows the user to create a clone of themselves within a one hundred meter radius of where they stand, this clone vanishes after one release of energy is used by the clone.

The third curse is known as imperial rage this curse gives both greater power but also brings harm to those around the user, as this curse puts the user into a violent state while also increasing all their attributes including physical and energy strength.

The fourth curse is one of rarest to be seen used as the dramatic decrease in the user's control is too much of a downfall even with the increase in the user's energy and speed attributes.

But the next is the opposite of the fourth curse as it is the most commonly used ability among the zeon face, the fifth power is known as full control and doubles the user's energy control while also slightly increasing their energy and speed attributes.

And after the fifth power most of the curses are less of an increase in power and more of an increase in ability.

For an example the sixth curse is simply named teleportation, which allows for anyone who knows this curse to be able to teleport to any previous location they have been before, or fifty meters around themselves.

Another example is the seventh curse named reverse time, although it is not as powerful as its name suggests as it allows for user to reverse time on their own body but this is a huge waste of time as it provides no increase in their life span or decrease in their age, and only lasts for twenty minutes.

The next ability is one of the rarest and very few have ever performed it, but this is not due to it being weak no its the opposite the power it gives is the highest of all fourteen abilities.

But the challenge in using this curse is that two users must sync their energies which allows for them to fuse into one person and the length of this fusion is dependent on the two individuals storage for fusion energy, the eighth curse mark ability is simply known as fusion.

The ninth power is named transfiguration which allows for the user to transform a part of their body into an object such as a broad sword made of meteorite, although if this body part is lost the curses effect is cancelled and the body part will revert back to normal.

The tenth and eleventh powers share similar powers and as they were made to be used together.

Starting with the tenth which is named arconic this power amplifies the power of either the divine or chaos genes in the user's body, which transforms their body temporarily.

And now the eleventh power which is named god control, this power is used by the likes of Genshi who is known to have discovered this power and gained him the name known as the divine zeon.

God control helps the user to control the tenth curse mark ability.

The twelfth is simply named after the ability it gives which is phasing, this allows the user to phase their body and only their body through objects and people.

The thirteenth ability is named elemental control: wind, this gives the user the ability to create and control all forms of wind using their hands and feet.

And finally the final and fourteenth curse mark ability is enhanced regeneration, this simply increases the user's ability to regenerate and heal their wounds, this is also the power which gives access to the form known as life regen used by both Genshi and Kenta.

"And so now that you know all of the curse mark's abilities, you must decide which ones will suit you best and master them, in a perfect world we would have the time to master them all but three months leaves just enough time for mastery of one" Kenta declared.

Fearless Shirogane spoke against his father and made his own declaration "I will learn both imperial rage and teleportation".

Hikaru soon followed and gave his decision in which he stated he would learn the twelfth curse ability phasing.

And finally the beast asked "so father what am I to learn while they are catching up?".

Kenta replied to all his students "tomorrow you will begin your new training routine, which is... you will all get six hours of sparing with me and all four of us will get six hours of rest, in the hours I am not with you, do what you think will help progress you further to your potential, and Kibar... you will learn to replace me".

The sun begins to rise and with it training begins.

The first student to begin is the most like his father, its the beast Kibar.

Once dawn had arrived both Kibar and the brutal warrior begin to relentlessly attack each other until Kibar's six hours were up.

But during those six hours no progress was made...

Next was the fastest warrior in system seventeen Hikaru, who had decided upon learning how to use the ability known as phasing.

First Kenta showed the ability by phasing his hand into the ground and then releasing a burst of energy destroying the surface below them.

And showing his endless talent Hikaru picked up on it straight away, even using it in their sparring match to land a direct hit against the brutal warrior.

And so the final session of the first day began with Shirogane.

And immediately both warriors father and son sprung themselves into battle both in the form known as imperial one.

Hit after hit neither of them saw any sign of giving up at least until Kenta entered imperial two, and within just two seconds he gained the advantage overwhelming Shirogane until the point of forcing Shirogane to want any means of escape...

Fearing death he found it within himself...

Shirogane had teleported only 12 meters behind his father.

Kenta turned around ready to praise his son but Shirogane had not only teleported he had also equalled himself to Kenta, as he too had entered imperial two while he did not know it himself.

But the six hours came to an end and the warriors were forced to calm themselves.

Two weeks passed and they were forced to change the way that they trained.

So now thanks to them both progressing quicker then expected Shirogane and Hikaru spar and train their new abilities together, without Kenta.

This meant that Kenta could focus all of his attention onto his chosen successor.

Kibar cried out in mindless rage "why can't I progress at all?, why do you want me to replace you father?, why must i be a beast?".

Kenta responded while guarding against Kibar's animalistic assault "because my son you carry my brutal nature within you and I am not gonna be here forever..., someone reminded me of that".

Kenta channelled and released divine energy throughout his right arm creating a divine fist and to his surprise Kibar did the same but with overload energy, and they collided but Kibar easily overwhelmed Kenta.

And in a gust of overwhelming power the brutal warrior was forced off the top of warrior's peak.

Kenta while still in descent was proud and looked forward to seeing what his sons will become, but then Kray's warning overwhelms him and he is caught in despair.

The despair that he might never see the day that his sons achieve their full potential.

With no sign of Kenta saving himself from injury Shirogane appeared and in a swift moment he caught his father.

Shirogane had mastered the ability known as teleportation just like his father before him.

A flash of light illuminated the sky almost as if a volcano had erupted.

And soon after, Shirogane placed his mentally wounded father down onto the ground.

The winds began to blow as Shirogane braced his body and entered imperial two, his face only showing a glimpse of the anger buried inside him.

But just as earth's guardian was about to leave Kenta forced himself to his feet, even with his mental state he would do anything to stop his two sons from fighting.

Shirogane struggled against his father, the sand kicking up around their feet and as Shirogane was knocked to the ground they were all given a surprise.

Kibar had willingly brought himself to them.

Kibar blazingly shouted "let him father, let him raise this beast out of me", whilst throwing his arms outwards.

Before Kenta had any chance Shirogane jumped to his feet and unflinchingly shouted "perfect now I get to put you down like the pig you are!, I've been waiting for this day since you and I left earth".

The winds of change begin to blow furiously and soon the bow wielding stranger reappeared, which whispers of warning followed "just as it has been told, no matter how you hard you try brutal warrior the beast in Kibar cannot be tamed, and you will soon learn just how disastrous that will be".

Kenta did not take this lightly and struck against the archer "who are you, who are you to tell me what's possible and what isn't, I'll kill you".

"Heh, i only give warning as i seek to protect earth and if your kind keep making yourself at home here then at least try and keep quiet or that vengeance will come sooner then any of us are ready for".

"I've had enough" the beast in Kenta had spoken, his eyes glaring into the soul of the unknown archer.

And so the battle between the brutal warrior and the unnamed archer began.

Kenta wasted no time and infused his energy stampeding throughout his body, and with it followed the entrance of the form known as uncontrollable power three.

Followed by the activation of blood rush.

Tristan made no moves except from making distance between him and the untamed beast before him.

Tristan whispered "Sagittarius guide this battle to a swift end, ultimate attack hellish arrow".

The bow created and shot a black arrow, as small as a dart but it soon became much greater once it had landed deep into Kenta's chest.

A skull of midnight fire appeared and the flames burned just as hot as a white star if not for Kenta's reaction time activating the fourteenth ability, he would of been incinerated to ash within a second.

The archer whispered under his breath "demon's rib cage".

And the flames that would have brought Kenta's death, became a rib cage of ash and fire entrapping Kenta inside.

He spoke "since you insist on fighting me zeon let me introduce myself my name is Tristan and another name you may know me by is Sagittarius".

Kenta spoke in retaliation "never heard of you, so tell me how does a no body know so much and is able to entrap me one of the warrior twins?".

The archer stood confused until finally speaking "you really think that highly of yourself zeon well I'm not surprised, the human race is believed to be the weakest of all sentient races, but there a few such as myself who rival the gods or more so use the power of the gods".

"There's still so much unknown to you all even the ones who think they know everything know nothing, only I know what's instore for us all, do you know what that feels like you've been told that your death is soon approaching and its made you a mess so imagine knowing everything about everything ".

The air was chilling as Tristan released Kenta from his cage and he gave one last warning "I will take my leave now but just know Kenta when you think you know everything you truly know nothing".

Meanwhile....

Flashes and bursts of energy caused tremors within the earth.

The beast vs the guardian this battle is one that is set in stone ever since their first encounter, and now it will finally conclude.

"Brother you bastard!".

Shirogane barged straight into Kibar's chest knocking him off balance, immediately followed by the tearing of the beast's arms.

Blood squirting out from either socket.

Dropping to the ground was that of the wounded beast's claws.

Bloody and battered Kibar dropped to his knees awaiting his death.

But all he received was spit, spit from Shirogane, who turned to face his father who's face was in that of horror.

Kibar roared "so you think I'm not worth killing brother?, well let me show you just how merciless a wounded beast is".

Kibar's right arm had healed or at least the bone, he slashed Shirogane's back, ripping flesh off.

But Kibar soon calmed after and kicked his brother down to the ground.

And for once he spoke clearly "I see I'm not welcome here, father thank you and brother prove you deserve all that confidence when you next see Uzunami".

And so the beast had exiled himself, leaving earth's defence to just two.

Kenta almost shattered by the loss spoke his tone furious "Shirogane, Hikaru you two are to continue sparing for the next 2 months".

And suddenly Kenta left them behind without any clear objective.
