Fate?

Because of his ability to tempt and pollute Dao Cultivators, the entire cultivation world had banded together to eradicate this great evil. The Wildlands ultimately became Mo Nian's sealing ground. The Mortal Buddha set up a legacy of non-cultivating monks to be responsible for suppressing this evil over the years, making use of the Buddhist treasures and relics he left behind, as his demonic nature was too strong and could easily and subtly influence cultivators. Mortal Buddhists had more resistance to his heart demon influence for two reasons. One, their cultivation level was too low to breed heart demons. Two, their mortal Buddhist energy was a particularly double edged sword against resentment energy.

Very soon, the knowledge of Mo Nian and the Wildlands was lost to history, and the temple secretly became a guardian and protector, selecting the purest mortals to keep this threat at bay. The plan was to keep purifying the endless resentful spirits Mo Nian kept spawning. However, in this generation, the seal weakened of late, leading the Master of the Temple on a journey to discover someone capable of fortifying the seal.

Kong Xiang heaved a breath as he thought to his point, marvelling on the pulls of fate's string.

"Is this the opportunity I sensed from earlier?"

He already possessed the Seal Law to Manifestation level, and he was surely capable of fortifying the seal further, even with his weak cultivation. Kong Xiang could feel the machinations of Heaven in this, and he discovered he did not quite like the feeling of being played.

"If I'm fated to fortify the seal, where is the opportunity?" Although his karma law also broke through to Manifestation, this was not a by product of the temple or the surrounding circumstances. His comprehension of the Karma Law had been growing steadily out of his control for some reason these past couple months, since he had activated his bloodline and inherited the karmic linked ability, the Eyes of Truth. At this point, it was actually mostly redundant, as he had already reached the level his ancestor had reached in the law, Manifestation. He had awakened his own karmic vision, capable of seeing karmic threads linked to him using his karmic subspace ability, rather than his inherited bloodline vision.

Although he was pondering all this, he did not hesitate to reveal his capabilities to Lu Ming. "I happen to have cultivated the Seal Laws, and I have reached up to the Manifestation stage in it. Does this mean I can help fortify the seal?"

"Manifestation stage? That high?" It was not just Lu Ming, even his brother, Lu Min was shocked. Not even those at the peak of the world necessarily had Manifestation level comprehension in their cultivated laws. Most of them were probably at peak Mastery. This was definitely the hallmark of the most peerless genius.

"Ambhitta " Lu Ming chanted excitedly, a sharp contrast to his peaceful face from earlier. "This is fate" His Master had embarked on the journey six months earlier, hoping to meet with the large sects of the world to find a way resolve this danger, but who would have guessed that a random stranger would knock on their door with a tangible solution.

"Benefactor, please" Lu Ming gestured excitedly, his face glowing as if he would teleport Kong Xiang to the seal right away if he could.

"The seal is located underground, I suppose?" Kong Xiang had done a quick scan of the temple, and didn't locate any sort of secluded space or seal, so it made more sense if it was right underneath them.

Lu Min chuckled. "Benefactor, the seal is actually not underground of this temple. It is not in the library or a secluded room of the temple either" He paused mischievously. "The entire Wildlands is actually the seal!"
